Sweden zeroPoint!
Let's take a look at the number 1 of this group; zeroPoint!. This team is in the best position at the moment with a convincing win over Fear Factory (4:0). All they have to do is just keep winning altough that's what every team should do, isn't it?

They could allready be save with a win over Retroactive this Sunday, but this depends on the match between Retroactive and Fear Factory the next day. Would Retroactive miraculously win over Fear Factory, zeroPoint! would be save. Would Fear Factory win the match, zeroPoint! still could lose to Auxilia the last match, but not with 0:4, they will have to win at least one map in the last match to be sure of the Play Offs.

So; a few possible scenario's for zeroPoint!:

Match Retro - zP!
Europe Retro : 0
Sweden zP! : 4

Match Retro - FF
Europe Retro : 4
Poland FF : 0 (2)

In this scenario zeroPoint! would advance to the Play Offs after playing only two matches.

Match Retro - zP!
Europe Retro : 0
Sweden zP! : 4

Match Retro - FF
Europe Retro : 0
Poland FF : 4

Match AuX - zP!
United Kingdom AuX : 4
Sweden zP! : 2

This is the tightest scenario for zP!. They could advance to the Play Offs by only catching 2 rounds in the match against AuX.

Match Retro - zP!
Europe Retro : 0
Sweden zP! : 4

Match Retro - FF
Europe Retro : 0
Poland FF : 4

Match AuX - zP!
United Kingdom AuX : 4
Sweden zP! : 0

Of course losing both matches would be the worst scenario for zP! But this would be the second worst scenario for zeroPoint! With these scores zP!, FF and AuX would have exactly the same amount of wins, loss and rounds. Let's hope for zeroPoint! that it won't come to this stage.

United Kingdom Auxilia
The second place in Group B is currently occupied by Auxilia, though they have to share it with Poland Fear Factory. They will have to win the last match versus Sweden zeroPoint! to advance to the Play Offs. Losing is no option unless Retroactive finds a way to beat FF.

But... with winning alone Auxilia isn't there yet. Let's take a look at some possible scenario's:

Match AuX - zP!
United Kingdom AuX : 4
Sweden zP! : 0 (2)

Would AuX win the match versus zP! They still depend on the result of FF.

Match Retro - FF
Europe Retro : 4
Poland FF : 0 (2)

With this score AuX will share the first spot with zP! assuming they took a 4:0 victory over Retro.

Match AuX - zP!
United Kingdom AuX : 2
Sweden zP! : 4

Losing versus zP! with 2:4 won't mean the end for AuX though.

Match Retro - zP!
Europe Retro : 0
Sweden zP! : 4

Match Retro - FF
Europe Retro : 4
Poland FF : 0

Would Retro take down FF with 4:0, though lose to zP! also with 0:4, AuX would still take the second spot. Their Rounds Ratio would be -2. FF would have -4 and Retro would have -4.

The conclusion is that AuX depends on the result of FF wether they advance or not.

Poland Fear Factory

These polish guys are in exactly the same position as AuX, only they have to play Retro instead of zP!, which is, with all due respect, a much easier opponent then zP!.

Fear Factory just has to win over Retro with preferably 4:0, and then hope that zP! takes down AuX.

Let's take a look at the scenarions possible for FF:

Match Retro - FF
Europe Retro : 0 (2)
Poland FF : 4

Match AuX - zP!
United Kingdom AuX : 0 (2)
Sweden zP! : 4

This is the ideal scenario for FF. They win, AuX loses. Simple... zP! and FF would advance.

FF just has to make sure they take the win over Retro with 4:0. They can assume that zP! takes 1 map versus AuX and when zP! does, FF is through to the Play Offs.

Europe Retro
These guys are in a hard position at the moment. They lost their first match versus Auxilia yesterday which means that they have to beat both zP! and FF, two highly skilled teams. There's no room to talk for Retro so let's cut the crap and advance to the scenario's:

Match Retro - zP!
Europe Retro : 4
Sweden zP! : 0 (2)

Preferably no loss of rounds against zP!, this could cost them the second spot.

Match Retro - FF
Europe Retro : 4
Poland FF : 0 (2)

Same with the rounds for this match. Winning over FF is very important because they are a direct threat to Retro's spot in the Play Offs.

With these scores Retro is assured of a place in the Play Offs. Because either AuX or zP! are going to be stuck on 1 win due to their direct confrontation.

Of course winning is what we all want.

Sad enough there is no other scenario for Retro. Losing one of these matches would mean the end to their Eurocup adventure. Good luck Retro's, you will need it.
