One of the great things about ET's past is that the big name teams who we have come to recognise and associate with the top prizes available have their alotted time space: from the end of RTCW marking the high point for teams like kreaturen, surrender or die and rewind standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the next generation of what might be called great teams coming from the birth of Enemy Territory, teams like DSky, Gunslingers and mythology.

Happy Toad Hollow Day of Encouragement, whatever that is! Well anyway it is according to Jube. To celebrate this momentus day I decided to pick on Kee_Ring of Radio iTG fame for an interview, and what great fun it was too.
Topics discussed include RtCW, lagging vents, and that loveable sleaze bag we like to call TosspoT (just if we needed some more uk flags).

The future of RTCW map conversions?

Everyone here will no doubt have sampled a RTCW map at some point in the past, be it through in Wolf itself, or by playing one of the many map conversions to ET. Such were the popularity of maps such as mp_base and mp_beach, that the ET versions were also played in competition, in some cases extensively. While these maps continue to be played in competitions as recent as the 2005 CB Wolf Opencup, the question remains: how much longer are their lives in ET?

Brief info: Qtracker is a nice program much like that excuse called ASE, with the difference that qtracker actually works well..blah blah. It's one of those things which people aren't too willing to try as they've got the bog-standard approach working fine, but once they've tried it there 'ain't no goin back :O>.

With the first ETQW beta cup hosted by ClanBase about to start tomorrow, I caught up two admins who may be less well known to the ET community. Nuke, the coverage supervisor, and Revengeful, the co-supervisor, will both be working alongside newly appointed cup sup Adacore, together bringing you CB's debut ETQW cup.
