On the sixth anniversary of Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, it's developer Splash Damage released a teaser for their newest project: BRINK. The teaser honors its name by teasing us with an eye, some concept art and a release time frame: Spring 2010. BRINK is going to be published by Bethesda Softworks, who have developed and published popular franchises such as The Elder Scrolls and the third installment in the Fallout franchise. That was all information we were given, until E3 started.
Why we must be strict

This week has seen three cases of Crossfire denying people entrance to LAN and primarily because of the timing of the cases they've caused quite a few comments and drawn quite a lot of attention, as such I felt it important just to write a short statement as to why we are so strict on this one rule where we are perhaps more lienient on others.
Here we go again!

Before I start off, I want to make sure that people understand the point of this column. This might feel like more of a "tutorial," but I can assure you that that is not what it is meant to be. What I instead am trying to do here is start a discussion about what settings work best for you. I am writing this column in order to hear your replies, so after reading please give me your impression of what I said. In that sense it is not a tutorial and more of an article addressed to the ET community.

Which one player epitomises Enemy Territory? Which one player has been there, done that and came home champion? Which one player leads a team of Quakecon, Crossfire Challenge and EuroCup Champions? Which one player can you always count on to deliver?

"This has all happened before and it will all happen again", those the words of the first hybrid found in Razor an epic straight to DVD release of Battlestar Galactica Razor. This week I chatted with sol about some cheaters and who was playing with cheaters and who got banned for it, and it rang through my head how completely unavoidable this situation has become and how it happens again and again.
Why CB OC remains the best option for me.

Year after year CB receives tons of whine concerning numerous cases. Year after year people say we need a new league, a league that replaces Clanbase, a league that doesn't make the mistakes Clanbase makes. This year we finally have such an alternative. Crossfire, in co-operation with Impact-Gaming, organised the second installment of the ETMasters tournament. Many saw this league as a gift from heaven, a reason not to play CB anymore or to flame them even more.

You know what really grinds me gears? The natural born cynics here on Crossfire - A Pessimism Community.Sometimes it would be nice to see people liking what others are doing, but those occurrences are few and far between! On sites like ESReality the users are bread to hate everything that is not CPM but elsewhere there is a vague sense of optimism, however on Crossfire the pessimism clouds are growing darker and I can never understand why.
Why World of Warcraft Will never be an E-Sport

After finishing with ET, I moved on to World of Warcraft in order to relax and take a break from competitive play. Me being who I am however, I did not stay non-competitive for long. Eventually I gave up PvE raids altogether (Player versus Enemy, when you get a group of 25 people and kill a boss) and I had started to play Warcraft competitively.
