Our NC is over and done with and as always, it had it's high and lows. Pros and cons. Belgium obviously came out on top and with that in mind, I got Belgium Lio to answer a few quick questions, just to gauge what he made of the tournament in general.

So, you've won the XF NC and even through the summer months, you guys have managed to keep a great standard of competitive play within the side. First of all, how do you feel the final went? What did you make of Poland as a team in general?

Well honestly, I started the match in the thought that there was no way we were going to lose.. Although I must admit they managed to stand up pretty well in defence, they just lacked the team play to finish anything in attack, which was pretty expected.

What were your highlights of the tournament and how do you compare this tournament to other NC competitions you have been apart of?

First of all I have to say xfire has done a nice job in keeping every team in the tournament, afaik there weren't many dropouts and coverage was pretty ok aswell.. For me it was all about the team effort and that might be one of the most pleasant things for me throughout the tournament, just being able to play without any pressure as I knew everyone was doing his job.

Through the entire tournament, who has surprised you the most? Have there been any players that have noticeably stepped up a gear and really impressed you?

Well I think the hardest match for us in the entire tournament was against the Czechs so I can credit those guys.. Otherwise I have to admit Germany wasn't at their normal level of competition which was pretty sad, it is always nicer to win against a team when you know they are at their best, no excuses and stuff, not to say they came up with any.

If there was another XF NC tournament at some point in time, what changes would you like to be made? With the freedom we have on XF, new ideas could be introduced for the competition. What new refreshing ideas would you like to see implemented?

Well I think it might be interesting to give like 3 pure invites to every team and then let the community vote for the other 3 players that are going to play, abit like the allstar selection in the NBA, could prevent alot of whine.. but yet again I guess the community would abuse something like that anyway so might be best to leave everything like it is right now.

What's your opinion on the whole CB banning issue? Has there been any further developments from CB or the people directly involved?

I'm afraid I'm not as up to date anymore as I have been a few months ago and as there have been so many bans recently I don't really know what ban you are talking about.. My problem with the ban has been solved pretty fast so I guess cb tries to fix things as good as possible..
