NC XIV: National Team Captains

For the past two weeks the captain application and voting process has taken place; after meticulous evaluation it is finally time to disclose this season's NationsCup XIV national team captains.
The team captains mentioned above can begin forming their teams. To do so inform your National Team Manager* with all the participating players' HIDs**. You can find the NTM by clicking on your country in the table above.
*Not every team has a NTM.
**Players can be added throughout the tournament.

Players
During matches a national team may not consist of players from only one active clan. Players are considered to still be members of any active clan they've been a member of (no matter how briefly) after 4th October 2010.
Nationality and Residency Requirements
Have nationality and residency of country X:
The player can play without further delay.
Have nationality Y, but live in country X:
The player can play for country Y without further delay. There is a limit to 2 players per team.
The player can play for country X without further delay, if they've lived there for 1 year. There is a limit to 1 player per team.
Have double nationalities, both country X and country Y:
The player can play for the country of residency, without further delay.
The player can play for his other nationality (which he doesn't live in) if he can provide a legal document which says he has the nationality of that country.
Important: A player cannot play for another country after he has played for a certain country in the past.

as far as i know xXx isnt active (is he even playing?) anymore.
I´m pretty sure it will be donmathias in the end. Altough i think limbonic should be in aswell.
I guess i would pick: scorch,jan,day_,donmathias (have never seen him playing rifle but from what i heard he isnt bad and we dont have much to choose anyway :D) ,limbonic,beasty

And you don't need to be a good player to be a good captain/coach. Just look rbnt he wasn't really high skilled but he won the NC.
I see his role more as a coach, and the most of the best dutch football coaches, weren't really good players.

Ofc I'd like to play nc some day, but I guess that won't be in a while - still got a lot of space to improve :P

I found out why you and kardon didn't get it, EVEN NOW, WHEN ET IN NA IS COMPLETELY DEAD.
You will never be captains because of the big lettered word in my previous post. Even if the cup is euro hosted you still have to get the players from the NA community... which is dead, ZING!

2. Azuki has never participated in a league or cup therefore azuki will not understand team strategy at the high level of nationscup.
3. The lack of popularity means azuki will have to rely on someone else to put a team together for him/her.
4. Azuki applying for national team manager would be awesome but captain which means being able to lead in game I just cant see it.

Excuse me, but she didn't say she will play, more likely she said she WON'T play herself. You do not need to be a highskill player yourself to be a Nationscup captain. Look Anaconda, he was Nationscup Captain for years and that very successfully although he never played on a high-level. So sorry to consider your argument invalid.

I am absolutely convinced she will just do fine. :) You should give her a chance - oh wait, you will have to give her a chance, since there is nothing you can do to change the decision. She is Americas NC captain. :)

don't mix it up with coach. a captain is like ballack or lahm for the german football team.
löw would be the coach. that's what most people in the scene are mixing up.

azuki becoming USA NC captain completely destroyed the small chance we had of doing semi-decently, simple as that

Furthermore it is not clear, if she will play in the lu, i talk again about shmoe: he is voted for team captain, but won't play himself, so the only thing, what is azuki do 100% is that she will try to get a decent lineup. if the NA-community doesn't support her, it will fail and she has to play... just support her with some clean and non-hacking players and everything is fine ;)

1. Who the fuck is azuki? I'm not trying to be an asshole or anything, but I've never heard of whoever that is, and I've been around since season 2 of twl/cal. This doesn't make them a bad person, but it probably does make them a not so good captain.
2. Just because azuki is not fit for the captaincy doesn't mean Champ is either. He was one of the guys whose info came out when the netcoders bust happened. And people had been calling him out for months before that. Not only should he not be the captain, but he shouldnt even be allowed to play.
3. Kardon hacked as well - though he did it from his grandma's house while sitting on ventrilo laughing. I wouldn't let him play either, let alone give him the captaincy if its removed from azuki
4. Sandbag has for months been rumored to be neb!Dominator (obvious/known/caught cheater). Appeared a few months ago from out of nowhere with "peaches" who has for months been rumored to be neb!TwoGuns (another obvious/known/caught cheater). The two were attached at the hip when they started, dissapeared when they got caught, and now these two players magically appear. No history whatsoever prior to this as far as I know.
5. No idea who hayzay is either. Or Sl!ck. (Currently on the roster according to ClanBase). Someone mind filling me in?
Who does this leave for captain?
Bliss: Give it to him if he asks for it. Give it to him even if he doesn't ask for it, to be honest. One of the few people left with a spotless reputation in NA. Gets along with everybody.
Common: Whines a lot but should get the captaincy if Bliss doesn't.
