A new Overload

Today Overload's ET team is proud to announce their new lineup. The team added 2 new Belgians who will raise some eyebrows in the ET community.

After the vila case, Lio decided to have a serious conversation regarding their current status with the remaining overload members. Opinions were unanimous and hereby Overload decided with immediate effect to let go of Vila because of his blatant lies and zeto because of his haunted history. Replacements were quickly found however and the ET Team is proud to add Jere and dAv1d to their current roster.

The new lineup:
Belgium Lio
Belgium mAus
Belgium chry
Belgium dAv1d
Belgium Jere

CDC4.ET Last 2 spots UPDATE

Hereby, crossfire announces the last CDC LAN qualifiers.

We got mails from 8 clans. Based on todays stability and rules we picked out 6 clans to fight for a spot at CDC in 6 weeks.

UPDATE

The schedule:

Wednesday 21.00cet:
Game A: Germany Velerion vs Belgium gD 4-0
Game B: Netherlands Hyperion vs Netherlands Visualize

Thursday 21.00cet:
Game B: Netherlands Hyperion vs Netherlands Mazz
Winner B vs Czech Republic NR

Today I got a pm from one of the Czech Republic NR members. They have some internal problems and won't be able to travel for CDC4.
We also dropped Visualize from the qualifiers because they wanted to play with 4 new players while we can only allow minor lineup changes.

The 2 winners should be able to pay their money before Sunday, 27th January. If not, we will replace those teams based on first come first served method.

We wish all the teams good luck and cya in Enschede

ET Allstar Event

Allstar[/b]]
adj.~ Made up wholly of star performers: an all-star cast.
n. Sports: One chosen for a team of star players.

Maybe some of you already think back about those marvelous ET games in the past. Epic battles between Europe's finest players engaged in a geographic war. Next Sunday, Crossfire wants to give the ET community something extra. We want you to have a toe-curling experience with another Crossfire All-Star Event.

ET QCUP - Final stage

image: v4

After a thrilling semi final yesterday, we finally know the two teams that will battle for glory in the Crossfire ET Qcup.

The German sided Germany MPG took a well deserved victory over Estonia idle.ee while Europe The Last Resort had their hands full with a very strong Europe aMenti.

Adlernest proved again how thrilling – a 'lotto' map – can be. Only 10 seconds left when England Sheep went solo. It was the last chance to get those documents transmited and without any backup of his teammates, he ran for his life. Some seconds later his judgement was rewarded because the TLR side came out of nowhere to eliminate the remaining aMenti peons. Carried by Toss’ extraordinary last 10 sec of shoutcasting, he brought home victory with only 4 seconds left on the clock. Game over for aMenti. Another great game to watch.

Semi-Finals
Germany MPG 4:0 idle.ee Estonia
Europe TLR 4:0 aMenti Europe

Final
Germany MPG vs TLR Europe

Malta toxic
Netherlands teKoa
Netherlands perfo
England Sheep
Finland Squalli
Finland Iron

Germany keran
Germany drago
Germany wEAK
Germany butchji
Germany snoop
Croatia aCoZz

Final Grid

The final is still unscheduled but we’ll keep you guys up2date.
Hopefully, we get some firework to end this great ET year in style!

Good luck both!

Cheers,
Rfki

ET QCup - Round 2

In round 2 (1/8 finals), these teams are facing eachother:

1) Germany mpg vs Germany Retroactive
2) Poland Savak vs Netherlands Morrigu Update: Netherlands Morrigu won 2-4

4) Belgium EDiT vs free
5) Europe TLR vs Europe Schrapnels
6) Croatia Cortana vs Europe hardcore
7) Europe aMenti vs Europe replay
8) Finland Incomplete vs Europe TAG

ET QCUP - Round 1

image: v4

Also the Crossfire Qcup ET tournament began yesterday. After the late dropout of mentiz, we found a replacement team under the name of Germany Retroactive.
Two teams already got their tickets for the next round. Finland Incomplete won over the german sided Germany aGu while Europe TLR had an easy victory over Europe Mindless-ET

Finland Incomplete 4:0 aGu Germany
Europe TLR 4:0 Mindless-ET Europe

As you can see still a lot of matches have to be scheduled and played BEFORE monday 10/12/2007
When you finished your match, make sure you send the results to one of the cupadmins (Hentai and/or Rfki).

CDC3 WSW Precoverage

image: wswnews-networkA week before the start of the Crossfire Devotii Challenge in Enschede, Warsownews.net did a little warsow precoverage for CDC3. Germany Lokirulez fired 5 questions at some of the CDC warsow players. Because the compo never passed the revue in any previous crossfire LAN edition, we are curious to find out what they expect next weekend.

CDC3 warsow's admin Netherlands ETR was one of the lucky guys and gave his statement:
Quote by ETRI'm totally stoked about it now! After finally finishing all the work with the invites, the seeds, and after quite some lastminute stress I can finally look out to the compo itself. Especially seeing all the confirmed players being there (next to the participants a fair good few dedicated Warsowians), the logcabins we'll share, it'll be a very good time no doubt. Also participating will be a ball, I'm not expecting much performance-wise, however I will try my best to practise plenty next week. I am really anxious to see vicek, BoBel and BRUNS play irl (I have already had the pleasure to see scoobz0r playing :p).

CDC3 Invites/Qualifiers

image: cdc3banner

It has been an exciting month since registration opened for the Crossfire Devotii Challenge - and we're happy to report that we've been overwhelmed by both the positive feedback, and the impressive number of signups for all three tournaments. We've players spanning two continents and over 15 nations all eager to compete in what should prove to be an amazing event.

Initially, I can announce that the Qpad Quake 3 CPM 1v1 tournament has been increased from 8 to 12 players. This is thanks to the excellent scheduling skills of Adacore, and the quality of the players signed up. It would be a crime not to accommodate such an excellent field of competitors.

And so it's with great pleasure, and after careful consideration Crossfire can announce the invites for the Crossfire Devotii Challenge 3.
