Furthermore we also extended the signups for the Nordic countries Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Norway. The signups close at 06/04/2010 23:59. Be quick to sign up!

Requirements

To participate in the league requires the following:
- Every player needs to be registered on the ESL (see our getting started guide)
- Every player needs their CoD4 PB GUID registered
- Every player needs to join their team on ESL

The league restrictions:

Your team needs...
- Team Shorthandle
- Entered game account (type: COD4 PB GUID) with at least 5 team members
- A logo (180x180 pixels)
- At least one form of contact (IRC, ICQ, MSN, Skype, XFire)

As we announced in our last news we'll open a new promod section in the international Call of Duty 4 area. Today is the time to announce the first part of it.
We already announced in our last news that the normal ladders have now the PAM4 4.02 as default mod. In this news we also said that we will open the new promod section, which starts today. Wer are proud to announce that besides quickcups the following first parts will take place in this section.

3on3 Promod Ladder, 5on5 Promod Speedladder, Winterleague 2008

This means the upcoming Winterleague will also played in the known promod modes. For the moment more than 100 teams signed up, from more than 10 different nations. These teams will play against each other and try to find out which is the Winter league champion. Under this text you'll find a textbox with the schedule and the main facts about the winter league.

After many many qualification rounds and much really close matches we will announce today all information and teams for the Call of Duty 4 ESL Major Series Season III. This season will be a bit shorter then all the other the reason for this you'll find in the text bellow.
Because of Call of Duty 5 we decide to make the EMS III for the Call of Duty 4 section a bit shorter. This means we will play a double elimination cup in place of the normal groupstage. These double elemination cup counts also as the playoffs, so its absolutely necessary for all teams to play from start off with 100 percent. Back to the series we will show you in the following table all teams which qualified for the playoffs.

Summer is over, the sun has retreated behind the clouds and the leaves are turning brown. It's time to return to serious Call of Duty 4 fighting. Compete against teams from across Europe in the ESL's Call of Duty 4 League this Autumn!
The first season of the Call of Duty 4 League had mixed results as we experimented with a different kind of league structure to maximise the chances all teams had to prove themselves and qualify for the ESL Major Series.

This season will be a little different as it will not be a qualifier for the ESL Major Series, and also since last season there has been a clear split in the community regarding PAM and Promod. Therefore we will split the League into seperate PAM and Promod Leagues.

Groups and fixtures announced: Sunday 21st September

Groupstage Week 1: 29th September to 5th October
Groupstage Week 2: 6th to 12th October
Groupstage Week 3: 13th to 19th October
Groupstage catch-up: 20th to 26th October

Quarter Finals: 27th October to 2nd November
Semi Finals: 3rd to 9th November
Grand Final: 10th to 16th November

Rules
- Players who are already qualified for ESL Major Series may not take part, players in qualifying round 1 or 2 may
- You may play in both the PAM and Promod leagues
- No show is a forfeit loss
- Two no shows in the groupstage will be disqualification
- Groupstage matches are one map, fixed per week, full 24 rounds
- Playoff matches are two maps, each team picks a map, first to 25 rounds, a tie break map for each round is fixed
- Teams must agree on a match date by midnight Saturday of the previous week otherwise matches will be forced by the admin team

- Skill based divisions
- Four groups of four teams per division
- Each division has 8 team, single elimination playoffs

Today we are proud to announce the last Summer Cup Series draft before the EMS Season 3 starts. The last two cup series ran really good thats why we start a third edition. We hope the teams play this also as serious as in the last two. All informations you can get in the news bellow.
First of all it's also possible to qualify via the 5on5 Ladder as it was in the last cup series. The first and the second team will be directly invited to the Final cup. The ladder shot is for this series 04/09/08 20:00. So play as much matches as you can.

On Monday the 28th we will start a 5on5 SD Quick Cup. You are now able to Signup to get one of the sixteen slots.
So be sure using the PAM4 competition mod. Also install the newest PunkBuster configs and the AWP sniperfix which is needed for this cup. You can download them here.

Matches are 1 map, first to 13 rounds win, map is determined by veto.
The map pool is mp_strike, mp_vacant, mp_backlot, mp_crash, mp_citystreets
The team on the left side of the match sheet eliminates the first map, teams take it in turn eliminating until one map remains.
