The qualifiers are comming to an end, only 8 more matches to be played and we will know the teams that qualified, their seeding and pretty soon, the EMS VII Groups. 4 of those matches will be played tonight, all of them are Finals, and they are part of the Lower Brackets. Teams that will lose will get in the 3rd poule of seedings, that's why I know for sure that every team will perform even better than before in order to get in a higher poule!
A short announcement. Due to the Dignitas Invite Cup that will be played on Sunday, and because most of the teams that need to play the Winner Bracket Grand Final, are invited and will play in this Cup, we decided to extend our deadline for the Grand Final, to Monday, 4th of October. However, we advise team to schedule their match as soon as they find out their opponent.

Here we are again, with the Qualifiers comming to an end pretty soon. The number of matches per week has dropped with every week that passed in these Qualifiers, but they'll sure get up as the EMS VII Group Stage are near. We just hope that you enjoyed the action so far, if not, stick with us as we promise you even more intense matches between teams that are motivated on being the number 1 team in this season.
The number of teams that will be eliminated during these qualifiers is 16, but we just know 13 of them. I have to add that the seeding matches will start tonight. This means that if a team get's the 4th place in the Qualifiers, this will be equivalent with 4th Poule of Seedings, and so on. Teams will surely fight for a higher seeding, so tune in to see this battle, tonight! And don't forget, SLAC is forced!

After the last details have been cleared with the developers,ESL is announcing the introduction of a new Anti Cheat tool, developed by SPEEDLINK, for all upcoming and
current ladders, tournaments and cups.
Speedlink Anti Cheat (SLAC) will replace Punkbuster as official anti-cheat tool in the Enemy Territory section within the ESL. After some discussions with Speedlink and the announcement of the EULA for SLAC anti cheat software, we will use SLAC as an interim solution to fight against the cheaters.

As I said in the last newspost, the ESL Major Series Qualifiers are now in the short week round. This means that matches from Round 2 of the Lower Bracket should have been played till Wednesday, theoretically. However, some of the last round matches have just been played, so as the deadline ends tonight, several interesting matches will take place.
So far, the battle is intense as we are getting close to the end of these Qualifiers. We had 32 teams, and as went on through the Qualifiers, 10 teams had to say farewell to this season. 6 more will have to same faith, 3 of them tonight, as we will remain with only 16 teams that will form the ESL Major Series Group Stage. Who are the eliminated teams and which ones will get into the EMS Group Stage. Just read more!

After the first round, we got a picture of the teams that could get in the ESL Major Series VII Groupstage. However, this round will tell us for sure the first 8 teams that will qualify into the Groupstage, but also the first 8 teams that will say farewell to this season! We already know the name of the first two teams that left EMS VII, savak and baserace.et, due to internal and line-up problems. Stay tuned to see which are the other 6 teams that will be eliminated but also the 8 teams that will qualify in the EMS VII Group Stage.
14 matches will be played in this second round of the ESL Major Series VII Qualifiers. Sunday will be the night with the most EMS matches, 8, followed by Monday with 4 and Tuesday with 2 matches. I must add that this will be the final round when we'll have 16 matches being played in just 3 days, so tune in to see them all, as the fight is intense in all of them.
*Reminder* After this round, the Lower Bracket Matches will need to be played till Wednesday, as you might know, this is the short week from our schedule. So we advise teams to try to schedule their match as soon as they find out their opponent in the Lower Bracket. Thank you for understanding.
*UPDATE * ECWinners, also known as ESLWinners, have just been added to the ESL Major Series, season VII. They will start from the Lower Bracket in Qualifier 4, and their first opponent is Back 2 kill, a decent polish team. With their current line-up, they look promising and we are expecting them to qualify in the EMS VII Group Stage. These been said, tune in on Tuesday to see their first official match!

It's time for the first encounter, the first clash of the participating teams. Let's see which teams proove themself worthy of getting to the next phase and which teams are determined to do so. Sunday is full of interesting matches so get yourself some popcorn and a couple of beers and tune in to see the matches from the first round of the EMS VII Qualifiers.
11 matches will be played on Sunday and another 2 on Monday and Tuesday, all of them part of the First Round from the EMS VII Qualifiers. Below you'll see the teams that will battle on Sunday night, and some statements that I managed to get from each team leader. Enjoy the show!
*UPDATE* It seems that the newly formed team reprezent dropped out of the competition because of some internal problems. Due to this drop, we decided to add a stable team instead such as the german team, STAR*. We wish them all the luck because they will need it tonight, against their opponents. Tune in to see the match, and check their statements below!
*UPDATE 2*: They are out! Who? SNOGARD Dragons! Their manager decided to drop out of EMS and all the ESL leagues that they were playing. The reason was the cheating accusations and the ban that one of their members took in the last 24 hours. However, we decided that a new team could join in EMS. So here they are, please welcome Fuzion*, a newly formed team, that looks promising. They will start from the lower bracket, so they'll need all the luck they can get. Here's what their captain had to say:
chEWz: Fuzion is a fairly new team, A team which was created just after the EMS signup date had closed. We are pleased to have replaced SNOGARDS, and hope to surprise and give a better show than what they would have. With only having played a few practises, we have shown great potential and are quite confident we can pull ourselves out of the Lower Bracket and qualify for the groups. We look to tear this cup up! :D

And here it is, the end of season 6 of the ESL Major Series. This season was extraordinary and if you ask me why, I would say mainly because we had so many surprises in the Group Stage, Relegation Phase and again, in the final match. If you want to know about what surprises I'm talking, you can see them here!
