Today we proudly present to you the 7th season of Europe's top online league. The finest leagues, more than a thousand players competing, several thousands more will try to qualify - and €16,500 worth of prize money is up for grabs. Get ready for the ESL Major Series Season VII!
The ESL Major Series is the highest level of European competition in the ESL for disciplines not included in the Intel Extreme Masters and has already awarded more than €100,000 in prize money to hundreds of gamers in the past four years.

While Season VI is still running towards the end, we are already able to announce the upcoming season's games and prizemoney distribution for the 7th installment coming to you September 2010.

With all the hype surrounding the CS tournament at Dreamhack this weekend you'd be forgiven for thinking that perhaps it was the only game to be played.

Alas, it isn't. The other tournament we'll be interested in will of course be our newest Cadred addition, Heroes of Newerth. When S2 Games began the development of the game based on the hugely popular WC3 mod DotA most of the DotA community snarled at the attempts, there are still a large group of DotA players who have the elitist attitude to their game, so when it was announced that Dreamhack would be dropping the major DotA event and replacing it with HoN there was outcry amongst the DotA community. That announcement was made at the beginning of the year and since then the game has come on leaps and bounds, with S2 Gaming eager to fix any bugs that exist within the game.

The DreamHack Summer 2010 is taking place this weekend in Jönköping. This big LAN event will host the first big international Quakelive tournament of the summer with the Kaspersky QUAKE LIVE Championships. The competition will be played through a Group stage of 4 groups (bo3) and a Single Elimination Bracket (bo5) starting with Quarter-finals.

As you might know, these days all hardcore gamers are focused on E3 Expo thats going on right know.

And you can't find more hardcore gamers than here on Crossfire, Halo, Gears of War, Wolfenstein, Quakewars, you name it, we are interested in that.

But there is one game studio that we have our weakness for, Splash Damage with their unreleased superhit and our competitive future that we are waiting so patiently for - BRINK

When it became obvious that the current rockit Enemy Territory team would not attend the Antwerp eSports Festival or any other LAN to come we had several talks with teams to join us and become the successor of the team that played so well at Crossfire Intel Challenge 7. Before going into detail about the new Rockit lineup we would like to thank our team around Clown that already made it to the Play-offs of the ESL Major Series and ClanBase EuroCup, as well as wish them the best of luck for the future.

Now we would like to present you the new team to wear the rockit shirt. It's a team anybody having a little knowledge of the ET scene should have heard of before. It's the team that surprised everyone at Crossfire Challenge 5 by winning a tournament with teams like mamut.si, ButtonBashers and YoYoTech in attendence. Known as Epsilon the team then joined famous eSports organisation H2k Gaming and attended the last Crossfire Challenge in may as Jungle Brothers where they came 5th. With a slightly renewed lineup featuring our CiC7 player Winghaven we say welcome to our new rockit.ET team and its players:

With 45 days to go until the Antwerp eSports Festival in Antwerp, Belgium, we now have the complete list of teams that will attend this event. The total number of teams now stands at 24, but this number could still increase if the interest is there and enough slots are available. The official maplist is also near completion with 5 maps already fixed, and one map which can be added if the participating teams would want so.

As been mentioned, one more map might be added (but this does not mean it will), based on popular demand.

It's also possible that within the next week(s) 8 more slots will be added to the tournament. That means 8 more teams might be able to attend. But that's only if there is enough interest left from the community. If your team is still wishing to go to AEF, please send me a pm with title "Interested for AEF". Remember to add your teamname and full lineup.

Team Dignitas is back in Enemy Territory baby! Unfortunately a good friend of the team is forced to take a break from playing in the lineup as Vaiko 'Night' Vainola will have to serve in the army. As Night is renown in the ET scene we wanted to do something extra for him and therefore the entire community can ask Night everything and he will answer your questions. The answers will be published in the article on the Team Dignitas page once all questions have been processed. You have one week to ask questions.

Every question that has been accepted will be added to the list in the team-dignitas article so you can see previously asked questions and you will also know if your question gets answered, as every question in this list will get answered by Night for sure!
