AEF First Round Dropouts

image: AeS

With the first batch of 16 teams signing up we could see big teams as well as underdogs successfully securing their spot for the upcoming Antwerp eSports Festival. They were given 48 hours to send in a proof of payment. With that deadline swiftly approaching, it becomes clear some have failed to do so.

Velerion, Team SpeedLink and 1stCav are the three remaining teams that still have their slots as pending. The Polish side have communicated with us to ensure their commitment and urge to pay. Also SpeedLink are eager to pay even though their organisation's structure is somewhat cumbersome.

The only team that hasn't even attempted to communicate about this issue is Velerion. A number of top teams waited hours to sign up to eventually see all slots were filled.

By 21:00 CET this evening the slots of pending teams will be opened to other teams again. 1stCav and SpeedLink will be given another chance to sign up next round if they still have monetary problems, Velerion however will only be able to sign up again when all other teams have signed up. That is, if they fail to pay within the next hours.

Epsilon with Enemy Territory team!

image: epsilon_header_logo

With the Belgium Antwerp eSports Festival on its way, and both EuroCup XXI and EMS underway, Epsilon eSports were eager to snatch up an Enemy Territory team and be once again represented in the Enemy Territory scene. Some of you may remember the name Epsilon from the Year of 2008, at the Netherlands Crossfire Challenge 5, with a great turn of performances, went onto winning the event. After CC5, Epsilon was just a name since the team went and moved to h2k - Gaming. Epsilon are now back with a bang and ready to make a name for its self once again in the Enemy Territory scene. Without further ado I present you with the new, sleek and fierce Epsilon side:

Sunday: Rockit.ET vs SPEEDLINK

image: CB_EC_XXI

The pressure is on for the European mix and German team tonight. Both teams will be fighting for second place in Group C, where the winner can contiue to the final stages of the league. Has the time come for a brand new team with the rewarding teamplay that can potentially dominate the scene?
image: linebreak
GermanySPEEDLINK
Rumour has it SPEEDLINK is the new and upcoming underdogs in the ET scene - call them the next FiF or Masculine Mans if you will. Rumour also has it that the German team have been practicing at bootcamp - whether that's true or not we will soon find out; though, this shouldn't come as a shock to the community. SPEEDLINK recently made the Crossfire headlines with the announcement of the new aniti-cheat for ET created by chaplja on behalf of the German MGC. However, this is no amateur anti-cheat. The contracts have been exchanged between the pair and the scene is preparing for the final release that could potentially extend ET's life beyond expectations.

It is still unsure why ET has caught SPEEDLINK's eye. Perhaps our game has finally been recognised for its potential outside of the Crossfire community. If so, expect big things from the German ET team. The team are also preparing for the upcoming AEF LAN - rockit.ET certainly have a fight on their hands tonight.
