Modern Warfare 2 "caters to the hardcore gamer"

image: 14weibtDuring the last couple of weeks the closed beta of Modern Warfare 2 (MW2) has been presented to the press at various events during Infinity Ward's trip through Europe. Detailed previews are popping up like mushrooms at numerous gaming sites, talking about their own little private time with the new game.

On the last event this Tuesday, Infinity Ward revealed that this beta was just the "tip of the iceberg" in terms of multiplayer content.

Speaking in London today, community man Robert Bowling said there's "a lot more" to be revealed in terms of unlockables for the sequel.

Wolfenstein SP Demo Released

It might be a bit on the late side, but it appears that Activision have finally released the promised Wolfenstein Demo. Even though the game has been released for over a month, the release of this demo can show people that the singleplayer lives up to its expectations, regardless of how the multiplayer feels.

As mentioned above, the demo is a Singleplayer demo and allows you to play a few missions with B.J. Blazkowicz, together with some AI controled teammates. You can find a download mirror below.

While one of the biggest global tournaments in both Counter-Strike 1.6 and Quake Live is taking place right at this moment in the stylish and modern Dubai, the Danish LAN organization SLAP has still managed to get some of the world’s finest team from both Counter-Strike 1.6 & Counter-Strike: Source to their medium sized Danish LAN "SLAP LIVE #19".

This time the #19 Edition of SLAP LIVE will be held in Copenhagen, the biggest city in Denmark and the beating heart of eSports within this small nation, as several big names have their offices there as well as having a favourable location (plenty of train connections and close to the Swedish Zlatan-loving neighbors).

United States of America Alex "chibsquad" Garfield and United States of America Michael "d0ublethink" Askins finally launched the new CSPromod Website.

Thousands of CS players have been waiting for one specific day, the day CSPromod will be released. This dream has come true. 3 programer, 3 level designer, 3 contributors and about 30 beta testers have been working hard to fullfil the dreams. Not far behind the release of the website, a mod of the game itself should be published. Previous versions of CSPromod failed so version 1.04 is some kind of the last hope for the CS community.

asd to gain blurred vision?

image: emsfallmat

Tonight in the ESL Major Series V Qualifiers, Poland blurred-vision are set to continue their 4-0 run against the European mix team Europe asd. So far, blurred vision has won all 4 of their EuroCup XX matches thrashing their opponents 4-0 without exception. Can Europe asd put an end to their winning streak? A few weeks ago, asd were able to bring United Kingdom sublime to their knees after an epic battle between the two with an end result of 4-2. The tables turned last sunday when European powerhouse Europe EC Winners! shut Europe asd down with an easy 4-0 win.

Also in tonight's EMS matches, United Kingdom Team-YoYoTech battle it out against Europe pstarZ Rise and Shin for a place in the final stages. The odds are in Europe Team-YoYoTech favours, with a consistent lineup over the years which has proven successful both online and at LAN.

Germany dark&beyond have also returned to the ET scene, with a similar lineup to that seen in the previous leagues over the last few years. However, even with a lineup that dates back to a few years, Finnish upcoming stars Finland Zero Empathy turboAp are expected to beat them in tonight's match.
