ClanBase decision regarding Allu ( BE vs IE )

image: clanbase_white
Since everybody heard the news already it is no surprise that Allu from Ireland Ireland has been caught cheating in the NationsCup X match versus Belgium Belgium.

We are very sad to see such poor behaviour by a player who should set an example on fellow gamers.
We do not tolerate such behaviour at all and therefore the following decision and actions are made by the Crew:

Allu :
- banned from ClanBase for 1 year due to using aimbot in a NationsCup match.

Ireland:
- direct removal from the NationsCup X, due to breaking the ClanBase Cheating Policy :
Cheating (aimbot, wallhack, spiked models, ...): 12 month ban for the player. If the cheating occured in a Cup match, the clan will be removed from the cup.

This means that Ireland is removed from the cup and Allu is no longer allowed to play in any other cups / ladders / ... from this moment on until his bantime is due.

The Polski's can thank their lucky stars that last night sFx murso took a somewhat unexpected 4 2 victory over incomplete! leaving Group D completely open. Though this is a somewhat daunting task, with Fear Factory unable to take a map in their previous three encounters with idle.

Invite cup hosted by iG for wsvg4cod2

image: cod24wsvggr6 In attempt to back the recently fired up campsign of cod24wsvg, infusedGaming have teamed together with United Kingdom palmz from Team-Dignitas to create a cup that tests the North American way of playing Call of Duty 2 in Europe.

The cup will test the pam mode namr12 settings instead of our eumr12 settings and try to get used to the style and play of the yanks. One of the major setting changes in this that most will notice is the sniper limit being two instead of the European way of one.

This cup has been marked invite only with big teams such as Trademark-Gamers and Dignitas all taking part thus far in the ranks of the cup list.

The cup is this Thursday 14th December and starts at 19:00 CET with a live stream being broadcasted straight from FragTV.net.

Remember, idling in IRC channel #cod24wsvg at the quakenet and gamesurge servers will help all the most with this campaign and would be much appreciated.

Any help or suggestions you may have with this situation feel free to contact palmz at [email protected] via e-mail or MSN or look for dignitas\palmz over IRC.

ESReality Mouse Review

image: 49919-lotsofmice_iconSujoy Roy owner of ESReality has published a fantastic Mouse review called the ESReality Mousescore 2007. It is most certainly one of the best independent and encompassing reviews ever witnessed. Written by one of the UK's most successful proffesional gamers Sujoy has benchmarked mice based on:

- Perfect Control
- Malfunction Speed
- DPI
- Maximum Accel

QuoteIn this environment where performance is king, it's ludicrous to think that mouse performance has never been measured for reviewing the products. Imagine reviewing the latest graphics card in the same way. Without benchmarks, reviewers would have to resort to loading up their favourite game and commenting on how their frag count improved. You would have no way to compare NVIDIA and ATI cards apart from the quality of the packaging. Without benchmarking, graphics card reviews would be almost entirely useless. So why do we put up with mouse reviews that are just as useless?

I have devised the world's first independent benchmarking system where raw mouse performance can be measured and compared. If you're thinking about buying a new mouse check out the ESReality MouseScore first, or you might be sorry!

Snow tourney

image: banner
After a long period of inactivity duels is reopening it's doors for players to compete in RtCW 1vs1 competition once again.

I, Netherlands [ACF]alm, have been back in the scene for a few weeks now and noticed there is alot of 1v1 activity going on. Many newcomers have reached quite an impressive level of skill and are clashing on public servers with a few ex players who still play occasionally.

Since the rivalery in RtCW 1vs1 has always been enormous and still is today, I have decided to start a new tourney under the duels organisation. This snow tourney will be held in the upcoming weeks and hopefully turn out to be the best tourney ever. We already have some of the greatest players ever competing, which will push the standards to a high level. Still, we would like to invite all players to reinstall RtCW once more and start practising and signup for this upcoming event.

Support Call of Duty 2 for WSVG 2007

image: cod24wsvggr6 If you cast your minds back 5-6 months you will remember an attempt from the CoD2.EU scene to get ourselves a spot at WSVG. Although it was semi successful it got the attention of several WSVG admins.

But time passed and people lost faith and the campaign faltered. But now thanks to the article "Two Dozen Reasons" the passion has been rekindled. This time we have help from the American community and United Kingdom Phillip "palmz" Palmer from the highly successfull European clan Dignitas is holding meetings with the leaders of the US campaign and trying to co-ordinate our efforts so we make an impact.

So you are wondering what you can do to help? The answer is simple, you can idle at the following IRC's as the community is aiming at around 2000 on the IRC by christmas to get the attention again of the WSVG admins.

#cod24wsvg @ quakenet
#cod24wsvg @ gamesurge

On top of idling take this article and add it to your clan websites or community sites to help spread the word please.

If you are interested in getting involved or knowing more you can contact United Kingdom palmz on IRC or by emailing him on [email protected].

We would also like to thank TeamHost for supporting this matter who will stand by us all the way. You can find TeamHosts web site located at here who provide good quality servers and voice servers.

Update

After the first meeting the following points and ideas came up.

1. Promotional Movie - This needs to be done ASAP, DOD has one, we need one. If you need an example you can go to AmpedeSports.com and watch the ESWC reloaded video.

2. Website - Not a big cause but in the future we will be investigating hosting our own website to support CoD2 at not only the WSVG but other major LANs as well.

3. Proposals - We are in the process of getting contacts within a plethora of corporations to draft and write up proposals to sponsor CoD2.

4. CoD2TV - We have been investigating the potential of coding a TV client for CoD2.

5. Unifying Gameplay - Euro's play with one sniper and all the leagues here in the US play with different settings. We need to agree on common server settings and weapon selections to unify gameplay.
