With so much hype surrounding the Clanbase NationsCup this season, there is regrettably always teams and also players that dont get to compete. Thats why #GamersNation is running the HomeNations Cup, taking the best of the UK and allowing them to compete to find the best country in the UK.

For those who are not aware, the UK is split up into the following countries:

England
Ireland
Scotland
Wales

Each team will play each other twice in a league system, the winners and team in second place will go forward into the Grand Final, with the remaining two clans fighting it out for 3rd and 4th place!

This week on GGL.com I wrote about CoD2 and its fight to gain recognition by the bigger gaming organisations, the SK's & Fnatic's of this world. The article debates Steam's impact on CoD2, the hectic LAN schedule and why the big teams wont bite at the CoD cherry.

Steams soon distribution of the CoD series could lead to some major changes in the titles fortunes, and many will hope a shot at the big time to at least have a small piece of the esports pie.

For those of you who are not aware of this cup, all the info required can be located HERE. Any clans that still wish to participate in this cup then please register before the end of Sunday, applications after this time will not be accepted.

All CL’s from the respective clans that have registered, please make sure you are listed as CL for your clan as an email giving further instructions, schedules, maps etc will be sent to this address. Those clans that don’t have a registered member designated Clan Leader will be removed from the cup prior to seeding and bracket draws.

The schedules and seedings (if any) will be drawn up over the following week and the relevant schedules posted on the Savage Site.

With the fall coming to an end it's time to get ready for another big fall online event next to the OpenCup running to carry you and your very own S&D gamemode up into the winter! Prepare to get on the road with 64 teams fighting for the crown of the cup.

We will come up with a premiership to boost our activity for the IPS Community Game in the running season. 64 Teams will be able to participate in 8 Groups to play two matches each week. Sign up your team with at least a 5 man lineup to compete on the maps Burgundy, Caen, Carentan, St. Mere Eglise, Stalingrad, Toujane and Wallendar. All maps will be played with max rounds 15 and there will only one map for each match. Draws are not possible and you have to play an MR5 overtime with the common ESL International Cup Mode: esleu_cup.

Last night NetRunners, formerly known as diversus (^^ mrozu) became the first team to reach the Polish PGA Qualifiers Uper Bracket semi finals. Just one win away from a ticket to Poznan. Tonight two other teams will look to join them.

www.Crossfire.nu has partnered with Wzzrd gaming café's to produce the second installment of the Crossfire LAN series. After the successful Crossfire PrizeFight Challenge in Rotterdam during September, this community has been itching to get back on LAN and into the groove.

Crossfire is proud to collaborate with Wzzrd, the home of Dutch gaming, and be the first event to be staged at their soon to be opened brand new gaming center in the Netherlands (exact location information to follow). The event will run from Friday 16th of February through to Sunday February the 18th of 2007 and will feature the following tournaments: Call of Duty 2 - 5 versus 5 (16 teams), Wolfenstein Enemy Territory - 6 versus 6 (12 teams) and Return to Castle Wolfenstein 6 versus 6 Invitational.

Sign ups for the tournament will open during November, and qualifiers will take place in December. Stay tuned for more information in the upcoming weeks. The tournament prize pot will be in excess of 6,000 Euros.
