One of the biggest Qualifier system of ET's history is now finished and we are proud and happy to present the 16 teams of the ESL IPS Season 1 First Stage for our very own Enemy Territory!
The upcoming International Premiership Series will be one of the main online events for Enemy Territory in 2006 and caused a lot of interest in the last weeks. From the icy far reaches in Scandinavia to the hot beaches in South Europe, nearly whole Europe tried to get one of the demanded slots for the IPS. More than 100 teams played in 6 different national and international Qualifiers a total of 225 matches and made our Qualifiers to one the biggest and most compact ones in ET history. Without a doubt the Qualifiers were a success, but the upcoming IPS Season should top everything. Let's take a look at the Qualifiers and who made it to the IPS and will play for a prizemoney of 1500 €.

Crossfire PrizeFight Challenge second place finishers, sFx have confirmed today that they will be back again to challenge idle! In just over three weeks, this team formed and rose to the challenge of making idle sweat in a stunning final at the CPC, now with time on their side - they're back and raring to go!

After being very succesful in the last two RTCW-seasons, some guys from svpermen have decided to join forces once more to compete at top-level Enemy Territory. Whilst the core of the team remains the same, four new guys were added to finish things up. Profiting from their long history together and an all-French situation on comms, we should be able to expect some nice stuff from this team:

The summer went off, it's getting cold and to make some hot dreams out of the box, we are on the way to get the next season and the IPS qualifier ready to go with a new config joining our beloved ET. With small changes and updates of the current settings, we are getting ourselfs and you ready for a fair and clean fight.

Porco Dio, Xylos el pro rifle nader from Italia has released his movie! Eurocup regular over the past few seasons, Xylos has partnered with EVA to produce his movie.

Weighing in at 250mb large, and 10 minutes long the movie is dedicated to the one and only Xylos in all of its mp4 glory.

Creator Eva had this to say:

Well it started at the begining the summer when xylos contacted me to ask me to make his movie. I always tried to develop my skill as a movie maker and I think I succeded.
From the very first demo I saw that xylos is a great fragger with smg & rifle but specifically with rifle. In my opinion this is the best rifle frags that I've seen and this really helped motivate me during the production of the movie.

Oh, the scandal. When the mix team of böse quietscheentchen revealed their tag in the recent ET-Cup #15, where they placed second behind a lineup that was powered by some old parodia heroes, our very own Arachon quickly demanded in a journal that the tag stealing had to stop. With legal measures still under discussion, we will see this team on GIGA tonight nevertheless.
As their opponent we have the Italians of n1ce.it who are a very ambitious team and are currently trying to reach first spots in several leagues and cups. Having some national players of Italy in their roster, they are perfectly fit for this match which will show German national players on the böse side.

Its been crazy times recently in ET, with a second quakecon and CPC over in europe. All this activity has stired a name not seen in ET for a while.

I can confirm that uQ-Gaming are once again going to support Enemy Territory.

Applications for the new ET team are already open and talks with a few teams have already started.

But this time uQ.Gamings support goes further than just its own teams. They have put forward £300 (440Euros) as a prize fund for a cup within ET. Already some other sponsors have put forward interest in supporting an online event, and so we can expect more than just the cash by the time the cup starts.

Since we only got the support confirmed a few days ago, its still early in the planning stages, but so far i can confirm the following:

The prize pot is a minimum of £300 (440Euro)
The cup will most likely support 5v5
It is likely to be a 16 team cup (although we will try and hold qualifiers to include more teams)
It is likely to start within the next 3 weeks
