Tonight we see the second semi-final for the Gamersnation ET Cup, Where sFx Evil take on cdap-oddjob.

With sFx Evil strong favourites to reach the final based on the current betting on GBooky, cdap-oddjob have been known in the past to cause an upset or two.

But will they be able to compete against the Flying Fins who are competing in both the IPS 2006 Qualifiers and Crossfire PrizeFight Challenge? Only time will tell, and with over 400 ETTV slots and casting from Mashed, there is no excuse for you not to tune in tonight.

The etpub team was proud to release the new version of their mod, 0.7.1. Weither you are a die hard pub player or a competition player taking a day off, there has to be some feature that you like...

Some new features worth mentioning:
- Updated player rating models
- You can configure your server to submit your players' stats to the ETPub global stats server
- Much improved Active Team Balance (ATB)
- Private messges to players on your team only (/mt command)
- Added ability to post certain events (chat, log entries, etc...) to a web page
- Added a tactics mode (see docs for g_tactics cvar)
- Implemented an improved flood protection replacement

Live from the Leipzig Games Convention Activision have released two new video clips of the upcoming Enemy Territory:Quake Wars. This ingame footage shows both the alien Strogg forces, and the human GFD. They've also released two new screenshots.

Microsoft revealed in a press release this morning that they are going to reintroduce one of the most popular mouse used by gamers due to popular demand. The slightly redesigned and improved IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0 will be released in October with a retail price of $39,95.

Dell are currently under attack for burning someones house down! The Inquirer reports that a man in Florida is claiming his laptop nestled on his couch caught fire!

According to the Florida Herald-Tribune, Louis Minnear, 36, said the computer was on a pile of papers on the family’s sofa. Minnear said that he first smelled fire at about 5am but after checking the house, returned to bed. About 45 minutes later, he re-awoke and found his couch engulfed on fire.

In 20 minutes the fire destroyed the house leaving the family without a bean. So far the State Fire Marshal's Office in South Venice, Florida has not decided what caused the fire.

We are less than two weeks away from the Crossfire LAN, Quakecon starts to seem like a distant memory and ET players are anxiously awaiting the next chapter in the history of their game.

While the summer ends, the ESL International Premiership for ET is just about to begin. Giving out 1500 Euros in prize money, it is one of the most profitable events at the moment. Teams are knee deep in the qualifiers at the moment and tonight we'll see a match flavoured with the spice of high skill.




On the one hand we have Northern Darkness. EuroCup XIII silver medalist and Crossfire LAN attendee who recently lost to riZe in a thrilling Warleagues semi final.
On the other hand we have dtekt, who were called Warriors Of Wolfenstein until some weeks ago, up-and-coming winners of the last OpenCup and Crossfire LAN qualifiers participant.
The match tonight is kind of a grudge match, since both teams faced in the qualifiers for EC XIII with the result of one of them dropping to the OpenCup and the other one going to the EC finals.

After a looong break we had another GET-Cup Version last sunday. With more than 50 signups it was clear that the cup will take place with 32 teams.
With the help of Otternase and gamestv.org we had full ETTV Coverage for every round.
After 5 rounds the winner of the 6th GET-Cup was dickheads (Matias, Weedy, sick, day, ZL1NkO, Efax, eddie, reload, arTis, perfo)
