Those peski Polskis have been at it again, and been running their own cup without a thought of sharing it with us plebs. I've tried at least 14 Polish-English translator sites, with results ranging from crashing mid-way through, to spitting back a mixture of English and Polish. Luckily enough, I was able to brave the weird obsessions of making bold capital letters and that text which is supposed to makes sense to someone, and armed with only my courage and knowlege of 'kurwa' from pubs gone by, I reckon I've just about sussed what's going on. (Yes, so I needed an opening paragraph, and the site is pretty obvious if you stare at it.)
Aaanyway, it's _apparently_ the Finals of the Polski Winterovski Cup, run expertly by a bunch of Maciek [PL]s and Killer_PLs. Warriors of Wolfenstein have made it through to face FBI.et aka Mystic.Gaming. Other teams such as sykotic, Fear Factory and Fatal Aftermath have all fallen, be it through poor play, or, more likely, poor pings. Kurwa!
Polish Winter Cup 2005 Final - its not 2005, wtf? Match: Warriors of Wolfenstein vs Mystic Gaming Date: Tonight. YA RLY! Time: 21:30 CET Maps: radar / et_ice

Earlier today over at The GGL site former ClanBase ET supervisor Cash wrote a report summarizing the the uQ Gaming vs. idle.ee EuroCup final.
After one of the first EuroCup finals of this season, Team utimate Quest can call themselves Europe's best Enemy Territory team. In front of 1700 ETTV viewers, the Finnish players showed how ET should be played. Their opponent Idle.ee didn’t stand a chance.
On Radar and Braundorf, uQ simply overran the Idle opposition with better teamplay and sheer determination, taking the EC title.
Last season, with only seconds to the objective, Vaiko 'Night' Vainola's famous panzerfaust shot stopped the Finns from claiming their first title. This season, they came back, aiming for the one prize that could satisfy them.
Also Maidron, the match admin covering the clash has put up his report over at ClanBase. Don’t forget you can watch the match again in full thanks to ETTVoD.
Me (Rfki) and a good friend are going to make an Enemy Territory movie. Not a usual fragmovie but a movie based on the latest edition of Nationscup, for some of us maybe their last. The moviemaker in question would like to stay incognito because he doesn't like the fanboy-thingie :p! But believe me, he's an excellent moviemaker. He showed me some little fragments and trailers from his creation and I was realy impressed by the compression/quality/editing he came up with (sidenote: i'm not that fast impressed by a movie). I asked him if he wanted to make this Nationscup movie, and guess what :) Lucky me.
To realize this project we need you guys (players & ETTVspecs):
Demos from
- Your best moments from the nationscup IX.
- Your best moments from pracs while playing for your country (playing with NC-tag)
- Funny shit/lotto that happened during wars.
The goal of this movie is to make a great compilation of frags from various NC-teams. A lot of nations will be participating and we hope that everyone, even the smaller ones can add some nice footage. Next to EC legends we will see lesser known players bringing us their finest they can offer.
I ordered a domain with FTP-access for everyone who wants to upload demo's! Because there will be a very good ETTV coverage with a huge amount of viewers i only hope some viewers can upload their demos with their favourite moments too.
I don't care if you don't care, but if you care to care send me the best moments of the NCmatches, the moments you think should be included into the movie's storyboard. Demo's are only available for me and 'the unknown' moviemaker so don't worry 'bout bloopers or noobshit, everything will stay discrete and private.
We hope we can fulfill our expectations which are pretty high at the moment! Now show me what u got folks and make this project come true!

I wanna thank Decem, FlyingDJ & Tosspot for their friendly replies and i hope i can thank community the same way another day!
Congratulations to uQ-Gaming who win the EuroCup with a score of 4-0
The day has arrived! And what a journey its been. The 12th Clanbase Eurocup began in November of last year, and has certainly delivered in terms of entertainment, controversy and much, much more. The 8 directly invited teams and 8 qualified teams have fought a long, bloody war, but now only two remain. That's right, its finals time.
IDKFA, rAtatosk, gods.inc, Id.no, pstarZ, one4one and wArning. All big names who have tried, but fallen as the rigours of playing Eurocup ET have taken their toll. And not just fallen, but completely fallen over with a triple somersault and a reverse twist. All these aforementioned clans have, at some point in the EC, split up and ceased to exist. Okay, so you have pstarZ reforming, and one4one were a qualified team, but the stat speaks for itself. But will players concentrate on clan play or on the here-again Nations Cup? Only time will tell.
uQ-Gaming have also announced their end at the conclusion of this Eurocup, but this time there's a difference. Yup, they're still in it! Having powered through the playoff stages without losing a game, the Fins now have two chances to bring back first place and a share of the $ 750 grand prize, not to mention ending on a positive (if you can call winning the EC a positive, I think its just a competition for WoW players and desperados personally :o)))) ).
Their opponents tonight are the formidable, and explosive team they call Idle. As said now a million times before, it was uQ who knocked Idle down into the loser's bracket in the playoff first round, leaving them unable to lose any games thereafter. Such was the hammering uQ game the Estonians in that game that many had already written them off without watching another game. But Night & Co. had other ideas, cruising through to the finals following a 4 - 0 win at the hands of gods.inc. Having to win 2 finals is a tall order for any clan, not to mention having to beat uQ, but if anyone is up to the task, it is surely Idle.
ETTV too is getting into shape, with coverage galore already confirmed - don't be suprised to see the slots increase further today.

With TosspoT getting poisoned by South Korean food, messrs Kee_RinG & FlyingDJ will be shoutcasting on seperate streams, Radio iTG and Zenith Radio respectively.
foonr (whoever he is) will be interviewed on Zenith radio as part of the build up, tune in from 20:00 CET !_!
Having started last week, the ET Idol contest is going quite well so far - we already have 8 submissions, countless players have announced they will be sending something in this week.
But where are YOU? I have not heard your voice yet. Let them all experience the beauty of your singing and contribute to this contest.
Nothing in for you? I'm afraid I have to disagree. There will be your very own ET Idol T-Shirt, including your nickname if you are able to win that contest.
So don't hesitate and participate. One week left, deadline is Sunday, February 5th, 2006. After that, the votes will go online and you can all vote for your favourite singer, for your ET Idol 2006.
After a long period of downtime the page is back, and looks much better in the new Flash Version than in the past.
Features like submitting your config or view different configs on the page will be up by the end of the day.
And of course you need the community for the page. So go and tell them what you think they have to change and give them your general feedback!
Let's hope that the page will be up for more than 2 weeks...
The most recent addition to the xfire admin crew has been working his socks off these past weeks keeping the site fully up to date with the latest comings and goings within the ET community!
Today foonr posted his most recent piece of art, his Eurocup Final Preview! This long, well worked article features his own thoughts, interviews, news from the teams and a detailed list of predictions from within the community, a brilliant read!
Not to be outdone though, Nellie has been hard at work! Today publishing his interview with FlyindDJ and really poses some hard hitting questions to the lovable german, espcially about his rival shoutcaster for this weeks final!
However, these young punks aint got nothing on this old dog and today after a 12 month gap another article was posted in the care to debate series, regarding the future of competitive ET!
Possibly the most interviewed person in ET has done the impossible...and got himself interviewed again. naXiD popped onto IRC this afternoon and asked me to post about his interview with TosspoT, and so I duely shall.
Topics discussed include university life, personal projects, cheep beer and trips down memory lane (cliché from me but whatever). naXiD continues his great work for the community as ever, and I'm sure it'll present everyone with an interesting read. The interview can be read at own3D International. Here's a little extract:
[/i] naXiD - We often see you posting some news on the scenepage xfire. Now, you got voted as the Person who "has done the most for the ET Community"... Is this trophy the long awaited feedback for your work, time and nerves you put into that hobby?
TosspoT I'm extremely greatful for that award, but in all fairness I really dont deserve it, there are modders and admins who put in alot of more time and effort than I do, just the majority of the work I do is in the public domain. However I am again extremely greatful to those who recognise my work :)
I would like to introduce you a new 6on6 cup series which will be held every 2 weeks on sunday!
#et.gather decided to organise a cup series called Fast Gaming Cup. This means that it will be finished within one day. So any teams who got enough spare time on sunday are invited to join this cup. The grand final will prolly be supported by ETTv.
Because this is called a Fast Gaming Cup you will have to play only one map in stopwatch mode to pass a round. You have to play the map again in Last Man Standing mode if there are two fullholds on the map.
Final will be two maps from mappool which are decided by the finalists.
Mappool:
1st Round: braundorf_b4
Quarter Finals: et_ice
Semi Finals: sw_oasis_b3
Final: 2 Maps chosen by finalists from mappool (Decider:radar)
While signing your team up you can choose which map you'd like to see in the next cup and which one should be removed from the mappool.
Sign-Ups open on 29th January and close on 4th February or earlier when 16 teams have signed up.
Sign-Ups:
1st Cup: 29th January - 4th February
2nd Cup: 12th - 18th February
