Insanity! – the surprise package of the playoffs got off to a disastrous start, seemingly collapsing against a strong IDKFA team in Week 1. Though not a team to be underestimated after they overturned Thunder Force in the qualifiers. Ratatosk, one of the eight direct invitees had a complete roster overhaul recently. Though that doesn’t detract from their immense teamplay and crossfires.

The table currently looks like:

Europe IDKFA P2 W2
Europe Ratatosk P2 W2
Israel Insanity! P2 L2
Poland Logitech UVM P2 L2

Currently sat at the top of Group A after a comfortable win over Team Zenith Black are the plucky Germans Ocean6, with idle.ee still to play. Tonight their neighbours Instant Defeat will take on the mighty Estonians searching for their first win of the campaign. A victory tonight for idle.ee should all but see them through to the knockout stages.

The table currently looks like:

Estonia idle.ee P2 W2
Germany Ocean6 P2 W2
Germany id.no P2 L2
Russia zenith P2 L2

Well if 6v6 doesn’t tickle yer fancy tonight we’ve a treat in store. The final of the 3v3 #ET-Cup gets underway as Die Monkey Die take on pwn-team.

Warleagues.com Season V Playoffs

As stated in this news Warleagues.com has reached its League Stage and from tomorrow will go to the Playoff Stage. No more next chances for the loosers. Now its a Win or Die situation. Winner gets the fame looser gets the blame.

Until 11th of December all the Quarter Finals need to be finalised and results entered so between the 12th and 14th December we will have the Semi-Finals and have the finals between the 13th and 16th December.

Just some information about how we put the rankings is to follow:
If the number of points earned by two different teams in one group is equal, the team with better won/lost round ratio is ranked higher. If the won/lost round ratio of two different teams in one league/group is equal (along with the number of points), the team with a higher quantity of round victories is ranked higher.
If the quantity of round victories of two different teams in one league/group is equal (along with the number of points and the won/lost round ratio), the team that had a better head-to-head result is ranked higher. If the head-to-head result of two teams with equal quantity of round victories, won/lost round ratio and number of points is a tie, Warleagues ET league staff will arrange an extra match for these teams.

If you need particular clarification of why you were placed in that order please contact either me ( wl|Yancho ) or wl|Badboy.

May I remind you how the matches were pooled:
Group A - Group B
1st - vs - 4th
2nd - vs - 3rd
3rd - vs - 2nd
4th - vs - 1st
With the exception of Premier Division. Where the fixtures were prepared like this :
3rd - vs - 5th -> to play 1st
4th - vs - 6th -> to play 2nd

Maps:
- The current list of maps is to be used and the same system to be followed. Thus, each team picks a map 24hours before the match and if not picked the other team can ask for the match to consist of both maps to be of his side.
- No matches can end in a draw, therefore a third map needs to be used. Check rules regarding elimination system.

Server Config:
- As of tomorrow no more liasing on configs. The latest ETPRO 3.2.4 and Euro Certified Config needs to be present on server.

ETTV Coverage:
- Due to multiple matches in such a small time we hope that we cover as much matches as possible. If you wish that your match be covered contact one of the media or group Admins.
- Coverage will be organised thanks to #GamesTV.org

Deadlines:
- We really cannot afford use of wildcard in such a small time-frame. So if a team cannot play on the agreed day, unless the other team agrees to play before the next deadline, a forfeit loss will be forced.

Scheduling:
To schedule your matches you need to inform your Group Admin by mail / IRC / WL message with the URL of your war page + Date and time + Maps chosen by both teams

Goodluck to all the teams which made it to the playoffs and hope you will enjoy the last phase of this season.

Frenchy-Cup 3vs3

[img|left]http://www.frenchy-cup.com/modules/html/page/fcup.gif[/img]

Hi Everybody,
Frenchy-Cup is a small French tournament that has organized 3o3 and 6o6 tournaments each year since 2002.
Our first edition was only intended for French players, from the second one, we started integrating English translations in our website.
And finally, for this third edition, we are proud of reporting that our tournament will now be European.

Concerning the tournament's rules:
-Each of the 64 or 128 teams (depending on the number of registrations) starts playing play-offs matches (eliminated when lost).
-All matches will have to be played on our own servers that are all hosted in France, you can check your ping on 80.82.17.49:27960 before subscribing to our tournament.
-All matches from 1/4 final will be played in presence of a referee from the Frenchy-Cup.
We'll also broadcast most of the important matches on ETTV (by Pr3datorS-Klan).

We got also an other particularity : The four (4) teams which will take part in semi-finals, will win a real medal. That present will be sent to the six (6) most active players of the semi-finalist teams.

If you want to subscribe to our cup : http://www.frenchy-cup.com .

We are also searching for Referees and Translators (French into English), contact us in the Frenchy-Cup forums for more information.

North Pole Cup?

[img|left]http://img473.imageshack.us/img473/5115/np1di.jpg[/img]
"A what cup? ;\" I hear you say. Well that's right, there is one, and it's looking for signups.

From what I remember it [Northpole] is a Christmas themed map by Drakir, with firing cannons, reindeer, a tram, Christmas star, and of course a ZZ Top grammophone <3. It was an enjoyable aside for a bit, obviously never making into competition, which might present a few problems, but overall a nice way to spend Christmas day after your aunt knits you another maroon jumper. So anyway it looks like this cup could be a humourous end to a good year for ET.

Homepage is up here, and thankfully you can turn that horrible music off! :O>

Get ready for EuroCup Sunday

With another Sunday evening to come, we are waiting for another two exciting matches to start. The second match week is coming to a close, we have seen very surprising performances - United Kingdom 141 beating United Kingdom uQ - and are now full of expectations for tonight's games.

Who will we see clashing?

The first game will be a group A match:

20:00 CET

Russia TEAM-ZENITH Black 0 : 4 Germany oceans6 (former Team-BeTa)

Russia zenith have lost their first game against last year's winner Estonia idle.ee and are now trying to claim their first victory against the Germany oceans6 team, which beat their local opponent Germany id.no in a tremendous 3-map-game. Both teams, though admittedly underdogs in this EuroCup, are equally skilled and have already met in some practise matches. Who will be the winner? We will see tonight.

Be sure to check GamesTV and #gamestv.org for ETTV. Shoutcast will be available by FlyingDJ.

The second match will be in group D:

21:00 CET

United Kingdom Clan SoF 0 : 4 Finland gods incorporated

Finland gods.inc have shown an impressive performance in their first game, beating Germany pstarZ on ice and supply. United Kingdom SoF have lost to Spain wArning!, but their teamplay made clear that noone should underestimate the British team. If Finland gods.inc win, their spot in the playoffs will be almost secured. However, radar and sw_oasis can always be a surprising combination of maps, as we've seen this week. So let's expect a narrow and entertaining match.

Once again, check GamesTV and #gamestv.org for ETTV. If the other game finishes on time, shoutcast will once again be available by FlyingDJ.

sweRTCW

Taken from www.swertcw.com

Well this seems to be the end.

I founded this site a couple of years ago with some friends with the same burning desire for RTCW. At this time I had no idea of what this was going to become. I started to learn PHP and soon we had a working news page with comments, a poll and some other sections. We got a pretty cool design by Hipshot, which later was reworked to what it is today. The site developed and grew more and more. After some server craches and lots of lost data we got the site up in a real serverhall.

At some point I met celtiC who started to write news. Back then, I had no idea of what great and devoted person he was. Today, the whole scene got him to thank what this site has become.

Sadly, I lost the interest for the game about a year from the release, but I kept the site running since it became so much more than I ever could have imagined. I also had a great interest in programming which kept me going.

All great moments has an end. Now it's time for sweRTCW. I barely got any time left to work on this site. It also takes alot of administration since I'm running the server at home. celtiC has already given his statement as you all know. I find this is the time to close the doors here. I would like to thank everyone who have helped sweRTCW in anyway.

I will keep the site running a while until i figure out what to do with all movies.

Good bye,
Martin

On The First Day Of Xmas...

It’s here, December! A month full of drinking, celebration and most importantly Eurocup! With only 12 days left till the knockout stages these next few weeks are vital for teams with any aspirations of Eurocup glory.

We’ve an unprecedented three matches tonight across three differing groups. The first a replay of the #ET-Cup (2) final between pstarZ and wArning! in Group D. We then head off to Group B as the rescheduled clash between one4one and uQ Gaming gets underway. Then finally a top versus bottom encounter between IDKFA and Logitech over in Group C.

United Kingdom one4one [4 - 2] United Kingdom uQ Gaming - Match Report

Clash of the night
There’s always an un-missable, and tonight that match is surely uQ Gaming vs. one4one. Two insanely strong teams destined for great things. But could the unthinkable happen? An early departure for either team a real possibility, though the winner tonight is guaranteed a place in the final 8.

To add a complication, and an undoubted incentive for the one4one team. A win tonight would guarantee them a place in the final 8, however a loss would take them to a final match showdown with Team Helix, with both clans level on points. This group isn’t nicknamed “The Group Of Death” for nothing.

Spain wArning! [POSTPONED] Germany pstarZ - 20:00 CET

Old Rivals
Kicking off the nights action we’ll see two old enemies go head to head. wArning! a strong blend of Spanish tacos and European flavour. New recruit “mike” fitting seamlessly into the side after the departure of Mr wA himself Winghaven. A similar playing style allowing for wArning!’s tried ‘n tested tactics to be used.

Then we’ve a pstarZ team who’ve faded back into obscurity slightly after their impressive #ET-Cup win – though obviously impressing the ClanBase admins enough, awarded with a direct invite. They’re a strong mix of continental flavour, achieving the unthinkable for many clans, keeping a stable roster. Though former-insAne Ravenous has recently joined the fold. Clan leader “Snot” keeping his clans feet firmly on the ground as they experience their first Eurocup.

This tie seems too close to call, with the ClanBase CBooky odds 60/40 in favour of the Spaniards.

Europe IDKFA [4 - 2] Poland Logitech UVM - Match Report

Polish Powerhouse
Finally “Mrozu’s men” will come up against the European powerhouse IDKFA. Logitech, an all Polish roster is centered around their immense pairing of Mrozu and Tsunami. Hoping to achieve the same success as their Estonian neighbors (ish) they’ve been training hard. Formally known as “Senseless eSports” they achieved nothing, though are fully motivated to get the momentum going after a disappointing start.

As quoted before IDKFA are “the mix that never was”. A clan many predicted would fail to stand the test of time – well the doubters have certainly been proved wrong. IDKFA’s ability to keep a relatively unchanged roster has seen them grow into one of Europe’s best. An easy win in the first week over insanity! leaves them one win away from the knockout stages.

Radar & sw_oasis_b3

As always there’s masses of ETTv available at #Gamestv.org & Gamestv.org and a shoutcast by FlyingDJ

Tuesday gone Team Helix and Spreading Death played the first match of week two, with Team Helix taking a convincing 4 0 victory – this puts them temporarily at the top of Group B.

ClanBase

ET Eurocup, round 1 - Summary

image: cuplogo_2373

The Clanbase Enemy Territory Eurocup XII round 1 has been played, this time without postponed matches or forfeit wins, the only thing that was delaying the matches for minutes is the rule about etpro guids.

Now, to the recent news:
Germany Team-Beta and Europe remedium have decided to join multigaming clans, the first team is now known as oceans6 and the second one as Spreading Death e-sports.
There were also big lineup changes in this firt week: Finland gods.inc have recruited Hungary Future (left United Kingdom 141) and Spain Winghaven (left Spain wArning!), but later lost Finland lettu, who now has to fill Future's boots in United Kingdom one4one. As a replacement for Wing, Spain wA! recruited Netherlands mike, who's well known from Ocrana and junk52. After Germany murDa's departure from the gaming scene, Europe IDKFA decided to follow the trend of recruiting the Kreaturen players. Their new member is Netherlands Milk.
Updated: Europe Ratatosk's roster shortened with the loss of Germany slaz to 141. Their second ex-Kreaturen member is none other than Netherlands Lun4t1C.

Anyway, here are the results:

Group A
Estonia idle.ee - Russia Team Zenith : 4 - 0
Germany oceans6 - Germany Instant Defeat : 4 - 2

Group B
Finland uQ-gaming - Europe Team Helix : 4 - 2
United Kingdom one4one - Europe Spreading Death : 4 - 0

Group C
Europe IDKFA - Israel insanity! : 4 - 0
Europe Ratatosk - Poland Logitech UVM : 4 - 0

Group D
Finland gods.inc - Europe pstarZ : 4 - 0
Spain wArning! - United Kingdom Clan SoF : 4 - 0

In round 2, some teams can already secure their playoff spots, so it should be interesting. Be sure to check ETTV ips on gamestv.org.

The upcoming matches are:

A
Germany oceans6 - Russia Team Zenith
Germany Instant Defeat - Estonia idle.ee

B
Finland uQ-gaming - United Kingdom one4one
Europe Team Helix - Europe Spreading Death : 4 - 0 (updated)

C
Europe IDKFA - Poland Logitech UVM
Europe Ratatosk - Israel insanity!

D
Spain wArning! - Europe pstarZ
Finland gods.inc - United Kingdom Clan SoF

idle...changes a foot!

All be this news slightly late in hitting the page but idle have rung the changes in a bid to build for the upcoming season!

On Monday 3rd of October we reported on idle's decision to leave the ET scene, that time to move onto DoD Source. Just 13 days later, it emerged that they would be back on the block at the expense of some of rAtatosk's roster, but still maintaining a 5 man estonian core of the roster.

Now some 6 weeks later, idle are back amongst the headlines for their roster changes, and it is a culmination of nations and experience. But just 1 Quakecon winner!

idle's current roster looks like this:

Estonia Night
Estonia Holz
Estonia Deadmeat
Netherlands teKoa
Germany senji
Germany urtier

Undoubted quality throughout that roster, but is there still the "phwoar" factor that struck fear in their opponents summer? And the team features many players who have already quit the game in the past, perhaps this is soon to be the final chapter for idle in their fairytale.

In other idle news, the GGL has featured Night's Gamer Life - You can read it HERE
