The second semi final in the Battle For Berlin was played tonight. The winner will go on to face G2P in the Winners Bracket final and the loser will drop down to the 4th round of the loser bracket to face k1ck.

Anexis started on the Allied side and begun with a heavy medic push high, as almost every team does these days, however they are more successful than most given that their medics are Sqzz, Squall and mAus. They capped the flag and planted lower within the opening 2 minutes. The Allies took a suit but their initial rush was shut down, as were the following few because of the standard artillery spam. SQuid was having bad connection troubles which were really hampering his sides efforts. Anexis planted main and East but were held up for a few minutes by some effective spam from the Axis side. Squall jumped up the back and watched his teammates die to the upstairs defence of MouseControl. Assuming there were no more Allies remaining, the Axis let their guard down which allowed the Fin to built the controls and begin the end of the map.

Tonight is the second semi final in the winner bracket of the Battle For Berlin. G2P won the first semi-final against Queens last Thursday and due to some scheduling problems, the second semi-final was delayed until today. The top four seeds all made it to the final four with relative ease but the semi-finals provide them with their first real challenges. Anexis vs. MouseControl begins at 21.00 CET.

The loser bracket of the Battle For Berlin advanced another round tonight and we are down to our final 6 teams. The winners of tonight game will advance to the next round where they will face Queens and the loser of Anexis & MouseControl

The Battle For Berlin continues tonight with the action from the third round of the Loser Bracket. The competition is really hotting up and after tonight's games we will lose two more hopeful teams from the tournament roster.

YouTube has partnered with IGN Entertainment to launch their own official gaming channel, called START. Given the huge recent success of video livestream websites such as justin.tv, livestream.com and own3d.tv, YouTube are hoping to attract a chunk of the audience with its own broadcast quality content. The online channel will debut in early 2012 and will open by broadcasting the IGN Pro League. IGN have already been streaming their pro gaming events but their new deal with YouTube has the potential to give eSports a huge mainstream audience.

The ASUS Republic of Gamers is an eight-player invitational StarCraft II tournament held in Helsinki, Finland over the weekend of Saturday 4th-Sunday 6th November. The event will be cast in English by Apollo & TotalBiscuit. This summer has been amazing for StarCraft fans around the world as for the first time our 'foreign' players have been competing on a level playing field with the Korean players who were previously seen as in a league of their own. Since the inception of the MLG/GSL Exchange Program, we've seen cross continental play on a regular basis at every MLG, IEM and GSL event. It is natural for a spectator audience to be interested in the best level of competition and had it not been for the recent major tournament victories by HuK at MLG Orlando, IdrA at IEM Guangzhou and Stephano at IPL 3, then we might consider that tournaments that excluded Korean entrants would be seen as second tier. Though this is no longer the case - ASUS ROG is not relying on Korean entrants to succeed. The 'foreign' players can be regarded alongside their Eastern players as equals and because of that we can fully appreciate the level of competition seen at such tournaments.

Tonight is the first semi final in the winner bracket of the Battle For Berlin. The top four seeds have all made it to the final four with relative ease so tonight will be the first real test for the teams involved. The action is a little later than usual tonight as we see G2P vs. Queens @ 22.15 CET. Our very own TosspoT will be casting with QuadV, beginning 15 minutes before the game starts. Our other semi final is Anexis vs. MouseControl but due to some unavoidable problems for both sides this has been rescheduled for a later date. We hope to bring you this game on Monday 7th, pending confirmation.
