Group C was hit particularly hard with drop outs and the late removal of suXus left it with only three teams, one of which was added only in the last few days. Rubber Duckies didn't perform badly at the WZZRD Utrecht qualifer but looked somewhat out of their depth against EDiT and we can only expect more of the same when they face Tek-9 and Copenhagen. Tek-9 were tipped by many as a smart bet to go all the way this weekend but as ever, external problems have apparently upset their preparation. Internet problems for Knaller have kept him out of action for the last week but the team spent last night getting some last minute practice in at the lan centre so how well they will perform is anyone's guess.

In theory, Tek-9 should have enough talent and experience to take down Copenhagen but a big performance is long overdue from the Scandinavians and this could be their chance. The addition of Sacrim and Plaekki was a serious sign of intent from the side and their bootcamp at SLAP LIVE 11 will have given the new lineup a good chance to gel and perfect their teamplay and strats. Whether they are ready to face Tek-9 yet is still hard to say but, barring a major shock from the Rubber Duckies, they should progress to the playoffs where they will get another shot at one of Europe's top teams. The only problem is, the fact that Copenhagen are due a good event works both ways, if it doesn't work out here for them, doubts will be raised as to their ability to compete at the top level of European competition.
