Morg's Overall Prediction - MYM Manager, Promod Manager and LAN Admin

Top ten for AeF, Blimey a tricky one for sure. I wish you were asking me about top ten for TEX after AeF's conclusion :P Well completely discounting MYM to avoid bias in the answer. And bearing in mind that I think speculating about this event is nigh on impossible id guess at these final standings.

[img|right]http://deman.co.uk/images/aefpics/morg.jpg[/img]1st - Czech Republic eSuba
2nd - United Kingdom Dignitas
3rd - Belgium TEK9
4th - Canada Team EG
5th - France H2K Gaming
6th - United States of America Pandemic
7th - Netherlands KomaCrew
8th - Belgium LowLandLions
9th - Sweden Fnatic
10th - United Kingdom Reason Gaming

Reasons for my predictions

In regard as to why that order, it just seems somewhat logical in my head that is what the top 10 will resemble. However no doubt I will be wildly wrong and those teams will place al l over the shop, with a few non top seed teams slipping in there too!

A few words from the man

Introduce yourself...

Hi, I'm Rob "Morg" Black I'm 20 years old, I live in England and I'm the CoD4 manager of the MeetYourMakers team.

What will your role be in the upcoming events? (AEF, TEX, I34)

For the upcoming events of AEF, TEX and i34 i will be in a managerial role. Standing behind the MYM team supporting them and helping them train.

How well prepared do you think MYM are for these 3 events?

I would say that MYM are as prepared as any other team going to the events this summer.

Do you think the long standing issues with a settled 5th will disrupt your chances?

I don't think that its going to prove to be an issue. Having stat back in the team has actually eased a lot of the teams play style and we're finding everything is flowing a lot better now. This game has always been very dependant on team play and a team clicking. We seem to have that back now, so time will tell.

Should TosspoT do a new series of eSports Weekly Naked?

TosspoT should never do anything naked. However another series of eSports weekly would be great. Up it to 20 mins with guest stars!!

Any Shoutouts!

Shoutouts go to MYM office, our sponsors XLbet, Intel, Steelseries and adidas. HIYA! Dignitas, C4B, rasta and anyone that knows me.

Kleineman's Overall Prediction - Promod Dev and LAN Admin
[img|right]http://deman.co.uk/images/aefpics/bo.jpg[/img]
1st - Canada Team EG
2nd - Sweden Fnatic
3rd - Czech Republic eSuba
4th - France H2k Gaming
5th - United States of America Team-Pandemic
6th - United Kingdom Dignitas
7th - Belgium LowLandLions
8th - United Kingdom MeetYourMakers
9th - Poland UFrag-Gaming
10th - Turkey NCS-Gaming

Reasons for my predictions

Canada Team EG really impressed me at i33 without really playing alot with our ruleset. Now they have been playing together for an even longer time and have been playing with promod for quite some time. These guys are ready to win their first euro LAN event.

Sweden Fnatic are always strong when it comes to LAN events. This LAN will be no different and they will find their equals in team Evil Geniuses. In a tense match I think that fnatic will pull the shortest straw from the bunch. A 2nd place for fnatic.

Czech Republic eSuba are always there when it matters, but never on the top spot. This time will be no different. They will win all their matches until the semi final where they will be knocked down to the lower bracket and making their way forward in there. The guy to watch out on eSuba side is as always Lucker. A well deserved 3rd spot.

From here it gets really though. You have 5 teams that could finish in any particular order here. Namely: H2k-Gaming, dignitas, Meet Your Makers, team-pandemic, lowlandlions. All teams with a good amount of LAN experience and mixed results over the lans. Really hard to determine the order they will finish in.

France H2k Gaming - What makes me choose this team to finish first of the above 5 teams mentioned. Winning the Acer Challenge over KC made me pick them for this spot. They are proven LAN players and although some controversy over config stuff I think they will be the first team besides the box.

United States of America Team-Pandemic - Fifth is the perfect spot for the Americans to finish in. Their first European LAN and they will need to adapt throughout the tournament. They will do just that but wont manage to beat the top4 teams in order for them to finish higher then a deserved 5th place.

United Kingdom Dignitas - The 6th, 7th and 8th place is impossible to tell. The reason dignitas should come out on top of the other 2 teams must be that they know what it is to win events. They either win or they miss out big time. I think the last thing will happen here. Them finishing outside of the top 5 is no shame at all though. These are all class teams and they will just have to try harder at TEX08.

The Belgium LowLandLions guys have earned the name "Kings of the Loser bracket" at Outpost On Fire 2. Going into the loser bracket really early and fighting back like no one has ever seen. This is a team to keep your eye on throughout the tournament, specially Qwerty will be trying to prove himself again as 1 of the best snipers there is.

United Kingdom MeetYourMakers - Due to the latest turmoil in the team and stat getting back in the team it is hard to get a good fixture on MeetYourMakers right now. I don't think they will be up to par with the rest of Europe at this event and it will show with a 8th place in the rankings.

Poland UFrag-Gaming - This team will be the surprise of the Antwerp Esports Festival. They will be making some impressive results early on the tournament. However I see they going out halfway through the winner bracket and not surviving for long in the loser bracket.

Turkey NCS-Gaming are unknown in the COD4 LAN scene for now but after such a show of dedication with their massive bootcamp before the Antwerp Esports Festival, they will be a team to look out for. MeetYourMakers will be their tough opponent in the groupstages and I think NCS-Gaming will come out on top in the group. Due to lack of European LAN experience I see them losing in the winner bracket early on and eventually finishing on the 10th spot. Good show for a first European LAN event though and we will see how they do at TEX08.

A few words from the man

Please introduce yourself for anyone outside of the CoD community

Hey guys, I am Bo Kleinhesselink, also known in the COD community as Kleineman, and I have been with the COD community for about 4 years now. My biggest COD achievement was to be knocked out of the groupstages at all attended LANs J. Besides all this I still have other stuff to do. For example I am still in school studying GameDesign and Development. I practice BMX racing at a reasonable level and love to cook.

What will your role be at the upcomming events?

The upcoming evens are Antwerp Esports Festival and The Experience 2008. At both these events I will be doing admin work. This basicly means getting the match schedule planned out, making sure all teams arrive on time and know when they have to play and where. We also have to keep close track of any developments regarding rule abuse or game exploits. So this pretty much is a full day profession.

Are you happy now that ProMod has hit its final version on time, or is there more you want from it?

I am happy that the LAN version of promod has reached it's final stage. Sure promod supports a little bit of online play, but the current version is finalised for LAN use. I am happy with the stuff we, or should I say Ryan "raf1" Palmer, achieved in such a short amount of time.

What do I want from it? Well this is only the first step. We will be trying to totally take over PAM and want promod to be used in all leagues. Further we will be looking into balancing the game even further but that is a project that doesn't have anything to do with promod.

With 2 other people we have started a project that involves the tweaking of weapons in cod4. Not to make them more realistic in the damage they deal, but making it suit competitive gaming and to promote more aiming and precision. This will hopefully increase the skill gap between players and make the game even better for competition.

Should TosspoT do a new series of eSports Weekly Naked?

Knowing Stuart from LANs, he is quite the tall fellow. I guess some people wonder if everything is as big….. But seriously nahhhh, I rather see him with his clothes on doing a lot more eSports Weekly episodes. Why they stopped right now I have no clue, but they should do more as it is a good program.

Maybe he should have Joe running through the set naked. Now that would be more spectacular.

Any Shoutouts!

Shoutouts to my man Deman. Wonderfull work you do for the COD scène. Other shoutouts go into the COD4 community with special thanks to dfb, sarabande, raf1, morg, frijec, trigger, tannehill and morz. There are the people who have put faith into promod and made sure it will be used in online leagues and LAN events.
