a different input to anticheat

First of all let's take a look at the current situation.

We got ClanBase which is in my opinion still the most important league for W:ET, so we stick with that for now.

Basically punkbuster and ClanBase work perfectly together (you will probably disagree, but read on!). We saw that in the case of lio and alexL who got almost instantly banned from CB after they got their pbban.

If theres one thing everyone knows

[img|left]http://www.xraygaming.com/forums/images/xray/logo.png[/img] It's that it's MEGA EASY to bypass anti cheat software, if you take a quick look at the responses to the announcement of X-RaY's introduction to ET here about half the early commenter's seem to have something negative to say.

CB Treading a dangerous path

Call of Duty 4 has caught the imagination of nearly all of Europes top gaming organisations since its release. Its size, its community and its exciting matches have seen many view this as the first real alternative to Counter Strike. So when the Clanbase Eurocup was announced it was expected to be the jewel in the crown should signups permit, however it was infact the jewel in the baseball cap and that hasn’t gone unnoticed by CB’s biggest player base.

Implications of the recent events

...or why we shouldn't rely on security by obscurity.

Thank you PB... seriously

This is not a direct slur to Cash's previous column as I do infact agree with the sentiment he makes that nC's actions will force a reaction that will hopefully be beneficial to the community, however there is one point in which he is wrong and most of you on Crossfire are wrong about.

Cash ends a provocative column with the line "we dont need them" - wrong, very wrong in any context he may have meant that, we DO need Punkbuster.

Thank you nC...seriously.

It has taken a long while, but it seems the master plan of netCoders has finally culminated to its ultimate destination in where it will prove that PunkBuster is a faulty product. And for the first time, I see some justification for their actions, even a small sense of thankfulness is soaring though my minds. Seriously!

Why?

i33 Predictions

i33 is upon us with many top teams from around the world attending in not only Counter-Strike but also Call of Duty 4. With one of the largest prize funds to date for the game there is a top place 6000 Euros up for grabs so the pressure will be on.

QuadV will be running a dedicated stream for Call of Duty 4 throughout the event on TV2 with Deman, TosspoT, Joe and Jay.

So to bring you all up-to-date here are a few of our predictions.

Teams Attending

Somethings wrong with this picture

The case of Lio and alexl is one that would have Columbo himself in a muddle! The case of two of the games opposites being tarred with the same brush. Lio a player who has worked his way up from obscurity and proven 4 times on LAN that slowly but surely he has climbed the ladder of skill to great effect.

ET - The all time survivor

Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory has a long lasting existance within the world of online gaming so far; realeased as an uncompleted add-on to it's big father Return to Castle Wolfenstein it had a hard time developing to such a competitive and overall balanced game what it today without a doubt is. Five years have past since its birth and there is still a player base of about 10.000 people constantly playing this game.
