So as i do every Friday when I'm only school for the morning i will go to town, get some lunch and catch the bus home. Today was no different, i went into WHSmiths grabbed a BLT and a bottle of water. As i passed the magazines i saw a recent edition of PC Gamer and seeing as i had just received my pay slip i thought i'd treat myself and catch up on the world of gaming.

Generally if you've read any of my columns (rants) over recent years any mention of G7 and or their teams has been negative, because my overall opinion is that they don’t use their position to aid the average competitive gamer anywhere near as much as they should do. On the whole I think they just waste valuable sponsorship money that should be going to teams/players who actually give a damn. However SK's addition of a CoD4 roster actually is met by a round of applause from this writer.

A few months ago, I interviewed mintR after fnatic (at the time known as EYEballers) had won the Crossfire QCUP with an impressive performance. If you had asked me back then how CDC4 would play out in relation to the CoD4 tournament, I would have laughed and said “You’re kidding me, right?” That was then and unsurprisingly enough, this is now. After a fairly recent and shocking exit from the CoDQCUP, was my early faith somewhat misplaced in these Swedish giants?

With New Project dominating the ET LAN scene for a succession of events, it’s hard to see anyone being able to topple these giants from the top spot. With the perfect balance of natural talent, graft and team play, there’s a reason the reigning CDC champions have done so well. These facts make it have made it increasingly hard to see a serious contender stepping up to the plate and giving New Project a real run for their money.

"An insidious computer virus recently discovered on digital photo frames has been identified as a powerful new Trojan Horse from China that collects passwords for online games - and its designers might have larger targets in mind.
"It is a nasty worm that has a great deal of intelligence," said Brian Grayek, who heads product development at Computer Associates, a security vendor that analyzed the Trojan Horse.

Last week I watched the Royal Rumble, the first time I’ve watched anything Wrestling based since I was 15 or so. Wrestling is homoerotic crap, half naked, sweaty men running around touching each other, not even hitting one another and yet it’s an international multimillion dollar scripted phenomenon.

Here's something I've been savouring for a long while. This story goes beyond the time I became inactive, and has only reared its head thanks to a certain owner of this website causing me to think in things esports again. Before I bore you with a pointless introduction, I mean to state that I wish to talk about online content, and specifically those who write it.

Inspired by one of Meez’ comments I decided Crossfire needed a review of 2007 because it was one heck of a year for this wee community, and it kicked off with a bang from the off!
