As we are progressing to the final stage of the SAGE LAN event, i wanted to take the opportunity to update you all regarding the Enemy Territory Grand Finals !

Granted, this is not my normal task, so forgive me for the content ;-).

Anyway, i had some important news :

We have decided to put the Enemy Territory Finals before the Call Of Duty Playoffs.

This means that the Grand Final for ET will be at 13:00 CET since several teams have earlier flights / trains to catch.

So again, the Grand Final for Enemy Territory won't be at 18:00 but at 13:00 CET instead !

Thanks to Potty and Krosan, the crew has decided to allow a Consolation Tournament beeing played as of tomorrow at 9:30 AM.

The loserbracket will hold a double elimination between the 3rd and 4th placed teams from each group.

This will also allow us to get a decent top 10 list !

Qualifiers + Groups will be announced later this week !

Also as a reminder, captains where selected based on:
• Support from the management, clans and top players (own nation).
• Background and ability to create the best team to represent the country.

I would also like to remind the chosen team captains to contact their national team managers. You MUST be added to your national clan account!

I wanted to take the opportunity of putting a reminder on the website regarding Crossfire Challenge 5 Signups.

Please keep in mind that you only have 2 days left to signup and pay for your own registration or for the registration of your whole team.

Here are the details once again :

To Signup to the tournament you must Register Your Clan and add your members to it. Then you must click 'manage clan' and tick that you are attending CC5. Beyond that you must then send payment to the following bank:
Entry fees are different for CC5, so pay attention.

Roll out the red carpet because today at 20:00 CET the great champions of this seasons NationsCup X will fight each other in what can be a thrilling end to a great NationsCup.

For some this NationsCup was played in the shadows of the EuroCup, but not today, today all eyes are on the two remaining Nations.
Only two are left from a field of 24 starting nations.

As 24 became 8, and 8 became 4 common sense tells us that 4 will eventually become 2.
In the right corner we have the NationsCup VI runners up and so far this season the undefeated team of Belgium.
And in the left corner stands none other then the winners of NationsCup VI and the runners up of NationsCup VII.
The almighty Finland.

It has been 9 months now since the first clash where Germany had to fight against
The Netherlands in the NationsCup IX Final for the gold medal.

The Germans won their map goldrush_te , which wasn't much of a big surprise for about 2100 ETTV Spectators.With a one map advantage so far, Germany had the slight advantage to be named NationsCup IX Champions over the Netherlands but since it was now time to vote for the Dutch map supplydepot2 ( yes, even maps tend to change from time to time :) ).

The Germans secured the truck and the gold on supplydepot in a time of 8 minutes giving the Dutchies an ultimatum to prove their strong teamwork and aim.
And yes, with only 20 seconds left, they did very well and managed to get an equal score so far after the 2 chosen maps.

Since you and I both now that a game can't end as a draw after 2 maps, eliminations were in order and et_ice has been picked.
As et_ice is a fast map ( lotto maybe ? :p ) this game ended pretty quick because the Netherlands set an amazing time and the Germans just couldn't beat a time of 4 minutes. Therefore the winner from last season's NationsCup IX was known, The Netherlands have beaten Germany with a 4:2 score.

But tonight ... the clash continues!

Since everybody heard the news already it is no surprise that Allu from Ireland has been caught cheating in the NationsCup X match versus Belgium.

We are very sad to see such poor behaviour by a player who should set an example on fellow gamers.
We do not tolerate such behaviour at all and therefore the following decision and actions are made by the Crew:

Allu :
- banned from ClanBase for 1 year due to using aimbot in a NationsCup match.

Ireland:
- direct removal from the NationsCup X, due to breaking the ClanBase Cheating Policy :
Cheating (aimbot, wallhack, spiked models, ...): 12 month ban for the player. If the cheating occured in a Cup match, the clan will be removed from the cup.

This means that Ireland is removed from the cup and Allu is no longer allowed to play in any other cups / ladders / ... from this moment on until his bantime is due.

We have received a total of 30 signups which have been processed and accepted during the preparations for yet another great NationsCup Event !

We have received all the needed CIDs as well as all the selected teamcaptains for the season. However, due to late subscriptions we had to put Denmark & Bulgaria on the waiting list. If a team drops out for whatever reason, they are most welcome to replace them.
But we do welcome back Brasil and Slovakia to the season !
