Here finally comes the first beta version of my map Haemar b1. As usual I have to thank everyone who has helped me, is helping and will help me to make this map, most notably by *testing* Haemar and giving constructive comments.

I would just like to insist on 2 points:

• the map is smaller than it seems
• the gameplay is really quite complex, so don't judge it too quickly

[bBeta1 modifications[/b]]- Added another non-minable zone (Main entrance / Flag building)
- Added a "roof clip" but kept possible the fact of flying above buildings
- Added red transparent brushes where you have to put the stolen documents
- Added the "detail work" (plants, chairs, etc.) for less empty streets and rooms
- Added even more clips for a better gameplay (eg. you can't be blocked in the corner of a door)
- Made optimizations on the file size
- Made VIS & Brushes optimizations
- Reworked many textures angles and positions (mainly wood ones)
- Reworked a bit the docs room (Side entrance & height of the stairs)
- Reworked the light shaders
- Finished all buildings (or almost) (especially near axis spawn & final objective)
- Fixed all the bugs I was aware of, please tell me if you still find some
- ...

I advise you to increase the time limit to 14-17min on 12+ players public's servers
and reduce the first part to 9-11min in the case allies are getting annihilated by axis,
I left the needed code change in the .script with "PSA" on the 2 lines.
Then you just need to put the modified file in another /map folder.

Another highly interesting match is upcoming in the ET EMS V. nOu way! face ESL Winners in the loserbracket final. Both teams are already ensured to win atleast 100€ but ofcourse both are eager to reach more!

ESL Winners dropped from the winnerbracket final after losing to Dickheads, who are already waiting in the grandfinal. nOu way! dropped into the loser bracket after their very first playoff match vs Guarana but collected themselves again and are back stronger than ever. This will be a very tight match for sure and many will again gather to see these teams battle it out on ETTV. Read on for alot of statements and expectations.

The Intel Motherboard department have given us 10 motherboards to give away as prizes for the Crossfire Intel Challenge 7. The motherboards are brand spanking new gaming specification and work naturally with the latest Intel Core Family of processors. The prizes will be split between the first place teams in Call of Duty 4 and Enemy Teritory.

Community favorite Cyrus "proZaC" Malekani, also known as "the p1mp", celebrates his return to the Quake scene. As one of Sweden´s former TDM stars he will go to enter the IEM Asian Championship in Taiwan and will fight for one of the two slots to qualify for the Global Finals in March. fragster invited proZaC to an interview to speak about the upcoming event, his shape and why god is on his side. It's been a while since you have been part of a Quake event. What happened during the last years?

proZaC: Woah, so many things ... I studied game development and got hired by Avalanche Studios to work on Just Cause 2. Then the financial crisis happened and that put a serious monkey wrench in the wheels of the game development industry (in Sweden anyway) and I became a kindergarten teacher instead, which was the best job I've ever had. After this the timing and opportunity was perfect to go to study in Japan. So here I am!

What are your plans then? A comeback in the eSport/Quake scene maybe?

proZaC: I don't know for sure yet, but I have a lot of fun playing quake again and watching all the good matches in the recent tournaments just makes me pumped - so maybe yes?

The GGL, the parent company behind Clanbase have today been bought for a staggering $2.5million. The GGL has had a colourful history in eSports with famed tournaments and large scale investment in early years followed up by massive debts to gamers and gaming companies. From CNN this is the story:

PrismOne Group, Inc. announced today that it has entered into a definitive agreement to purchase Professional Interactive Entertainment and its related entities (owned, controlled, parent and/or subsidiary), “GGL Global Gaming” (www.ggl.com). The purchase agreement includes $2.5 million dollars of initial financing, and is a major change to the current PMOZ business plan. PMOZ Chairman and CEO Samir Burshan commented, “this new GGL direction is an exciting growth opportunity for our company. GGL has more than 2.7 million registered members. Their technology is superior and their growth is just now beginning.

Whilst to many gamers the GGL's reputation can be only be described as bad at best, one shouldnt forget that the GGL has concluded on several 7 figure marketing deals and promotions beyond that of many companies operating in eSports, it can only be assumed that that potential is what is being purchased. There is no word on the debts.

After RTCW-Cup III finished the game was dieing out slowly again. So when I decided to organize a cup I was hoping to get together eight teams for a small tourney like a year ago. Two weeks later I was racking my brain about how to manage the 26 signups.

Needless to say the cup is and was a great success. Now, after about 50 matches, some amazing moments, many clutch plays and great kills it is finally coming to an end. Tomorrow at 21:30 the Grand Final between 118 and Chaos will be played.

It's tuesday again which means Blight Gaming is back for another ETTV
