The groupstage of the Dreamhack QL tournament is now completed.
Av3k surprised many by beating fox and topping its group without losing a round. Also Cooller has managed to get the top spot perfectly and is looking strong towards the playoffs. The 2 best of each group get a spot in the playoffs!

The Quake Live tournament of Dreamhack has kicked off! Big names such as DaHang, fox, Spart1e and Cooller are battling it out for 60,000 SEK.
Today the groupstage and the quarterfinals are played, while the semifinals and the finals will be on tomorrow's schedule.

Which means that PunkBuster & GV Streaming will not be used for the NationsCup & EuroCup (therefore EC/NC Matches played on GamesTV Matchservers will not use PB or GV, PunkBuster will only be used unless both teams agree on it). Please keep in mind the following may change according to what anti-cheat will be used (if any). We have the right to force any anti-cheat.

In the OpenCup & Ladders Case, PunkBuster will always be used while GV-Streaming is only forced for the OpenCup (unless the server is streaming to GamesTV) therefore all GamesTV Servers can remove GV-Scripts & Streaming.

Tonight, EC Winners are set to take on MASCULINE MANS for the first time in an official match this season. The European powerhouse EC Winners have won all 9 of their previous official matches, completely dominating this seasons EuroCup XX and ESL Major Series V. With high expectations from EC Winners, the pressure is really mounting on the Finnish EuroCup XIX champions MASCULINE MANS to hold their reigning title as the EuroCup champions. However, MASCULINE MANS have also had an impressive run this season winning 7 out of 8 of their official matches, with only an unexpected loss against nOu way. The odds are in EC Winners favour with 1.82 - 2.23

The tournament which takes place in November at the DreamHack LAN party will see some of the biggest names in 1.6 taking part as well as a number of amateur teams who have the opportunity to qualify for the main event via a BYOC competition. If you havent seen any 1.6 matches yet, watch this and be amazed. Also, there will be tournaments for the WoW 3v3 and Street Fighter IV Pro's. It might be the last chance for Activision to prove that MW2 is a competitive game, teams like Power Gaming or Team Dignitas are fighting for a prizepruse of 65,000 SEK. Here are the CS 1.6 Groups

The Early Xmas RTCW-Cup so far is a great success. The first matchweek has passed with 0 dropouts and all matches were played on time. With no big surprises happening all higher seeded teams have won their matches with the exception of Fallanx who lost to Rewind 4-0. This Monday rewind look to extend their winning streak as they meet Chaos in a match that will most likely decide who is going to take first and second place in group C.

November 2009 might be remembered by a major change of the guard in Clanbase Enemy Territory Crew. From current 3-men admins group only 1 will continue his work under [CB] Tag. What is more, it's declared that OpenCup 3on3 is back in favour of supervisors. Furthermore, after several months of application process and interviews, CB ET Crew has recruited 3 brand new volunteers to keep organising ET events.

The groups for the ESL European Championship for Quake Live have been announced.
Thirty-two players have been divided into eight groups of four players each. The top two players of each group will advance to the finals taking place off line in early 2010.

What is True Combat: Elite?

TrueCombat:Elite (TCE) is a modern world total conversion of the free, popular, stand-alone first-person shooter, Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. That is, TCE is an entirely free game, made by gamers, for gamers.

TCE was developed by GrooveSix Studios and Team Terminator. While Team Terminator is known for the famous Q3 based TrueCombat series, GrooveSix Studios was initiated by retired Team Terminator co-founder Coroner to develop a Return to Castle Wolfenstein modification that was never released.


Now, the most important question: "What can I expect from TCE?"

After four weeks of Qualifiers, we found the best 16 Teams all over Europe which will battle for one of the eight available Final Stage slots of the ESL Major Series Season V in Enemy Territory. The groups have been made according to the teams' performance during the qualifier stage. Each Qualifier winner is set as #1 of each Group, the 2nd of each qualifier as #2 etc. No team will face a team of one's own Qualifier.
