Crossfire NC Lineups!

Finally, all teams have announced their lineups. All teams have been recapitulated for you.

Live2Win Playoffs and I34 Elite Tonight on QuadV

Tonight we have Call of Duty 4 action firstly from the Live2Win Playoff Stages followed by the start of the I34 Elite Tournament which gives the teams a chance to win free admission and the use of some fantastic pc's for the I34 event.

Live2Win WB R2 - 21:00 CET 7th July - Sample This vs H2K Gaming - Strike

Netherlands Sample This performed well at the Acer Challenge finishing 3rd behind their opponents tonight. However with some team adjustments since then they may now have what it takes to topple the French.

France H2K Gaming return triumphant from iPower 08 taking home 5 top end gaming pc's in a finals rematch of the Acer Challenge vs Netherlands KomaCrew winning 13-7. They topped their group at Acer Challenge ahead of Netherlands Sample This but the match between the 2 teams was very close.

Multiplay I34 Elite - 22:00 CET 7th July - LowLandLions vs K1ck - Backlot

Belgium LowLandLions had some players in action this weekend for Team Belgium at the iPower 08 event held at the ESWC Masters. As a mix team they performed well picking up 4th place however with the players only returning home today they may well be fatigued. We saw them last Thursday lose in a closely fought overtime match in the EMS II Consilation Finals against Sweden Fnatic 16-13.

Portugal k1ck.pt have never reached the top tiers of a major event before but in entering this tournament they have given themselves that chance. They face a tough opening draw though and will be classed as the underdogs, however with Backlot the map a strong Defense could well be enough to secure a win.

Live Video Coverage will begin at 20:45 CET on QuadV TV1 with Deman.

ESL Major Series continues!

image: i4oftiWithout much of coverage be it spokenwise in form of shoutcasting or written coverage neither here at Crossfire nor over at GamesTV.org, the groupstage of ESL's second 1000€ prized online competition, the ESL Major Series (EMS), following last year's International Premiership Series (IPS), has now ended. Nevertheless, the tournament is not yet over as there is still the final clash to be coming. Though, we can still hope for the great event we expected at the beginning.

With top teams like Impact Gaming, one4one eSports (now re-play), Overload Gaming and mPG still fighting for glory and a piece of cash, the final stage of the EMS should hopefully be a bit more entertaining than this seasons EuroCup and all its problems and issues. But before moving into the final stage, there will be a 'Survival Cup' incoming to determine the last participants for the great final. Let's have a look at the group standings which are posted below:

image: bhi1iw

Teams wearing the little star behind their name are the ones going through to the mentioned 'Survival Cup' whereas Impact Gaming and megaProGaming are already qualified for the final stage.

More information regarding the further cup structure, the dates and the prize distribution can be found in the official news post over at the ESL.

EMS II and FGL Finals Tonight on QuadV

First up tonight will be the ESL Summer Cup following on from last night. Straight after will be the Consilation Finals of what has been a great EMS Season II for Call of Duty 4 and directly after that we dive across to the FGL Finals in which the winner will take home $750 with $450 to the loser.

ESL Summer Cup LB R1 - 20:45 CET 3rd July - Reason Gaming vs KomaCrew - Map by Veto

United Kingdom Reason Gaming played a close match last night but it could have been far worse. At 12-6 it was looking like a deomnstration of how to play Crash by Czech Republic eSuba, this over a team that totally shut out Sweden Fnatic in 9 straight rounds just last week! There was no love lost between either team though and tonight Reason shall be looking for some payback.

Netherlands KomaCrew looked a shadow of themselves last night with KajsKing stepping in to fill the boots of Roman. However having not played together before on Backlot it wasnt until the last few rounds where things started to work out but by then it was too late. So tonight they will undoubtedly be avoiding Backlot in the veto and hoping for something else!

EMS II Consilation Final - 21:30 CET 3rd July - Fnatic vs LowLandLions - Map by Veto

Sweden Fnatic have had a hard time of it lately mainly down to inactivity but when money is on the line they tend to perform. They lost to United Kingdom Reason Gaming last week in the Live2Win Playoffs but here in the EMS they are on the comeback trail beating Czech Republic DEFEATERS, United Kingdom Dignitas and Belgium TEK9. It was however tonights oposition that put them into the Lower Bracket in a thrilling 19-16 double overtime match.

Belgium LowLandLions had performed well in the EMS II and they are just 1 win away from making it into their first major finals in Call of Duty 4. Alongside their win over Sweden Fnatic they also beat tonights FGL Finalists Germany choZen however Germany Speed-Link proved to strong on the night for them. With a win already recorded against their opponents they can come into the match with some confidence knowing that the almighty Sweden Fnatic are indeed not unbeatable.

FGL Finals - 22:00 CET 3rd July - eSuba vs choZen - Map by Veto

Czech Republic eSuba beat United Kingdom MYM Tuesday night (13-6) in Live2Win and where amazing last night in a fast paced action thriller against United Kingdom Reason Gaming, a game I highly recommend you watch on VoD. Tonight they enter the finals from the winners bracket meaning they only need to win just one map and with their map pick first it could well be a short final.

Germany choZen pulled off the shock of June defeating United Kingdom Reason Gaming against all odds. They are massive underdogs tonight though in their first major finals against probably the best currenty online team.

You can of course watch all the action live on QuadV TV1 with Deman.

ESL Summer Cup on Tonight QuadV

Tonight the ESL Summer Cup for € 1000 will begin and QuadV will be there to bring you all the action. We will cover the 2 winner bracket rounds tonight with 2 potential great matches.

ESL Summer Cup WB R1 - 20:00 CET 2nd July - Reason Gaming vs eSuba -Map by Veto

United Kingdom Reason Gaming are the team to beat right now beating almost every top team throughout the month of June. However with a rather strange defeat recently to Germany choZen they have shown they are still not unbeatable.

Czech Republic eSuba ran rampant over United Kingdom MYM last night (13-6) with star player Czech Republic Mazarini almost hitting 30 frags in those 19 rounds! So tonight we shall see 2 form teams meeting for the first time in a while.

ESL Summer Cup WB R2 - 21:00 CET 2nd July - Speed-Link/rY vs KomaCrew/bioXar - Map by Veto

The most likely match here going by form would be the 2 iPower 08 qualifiers Germany Speed-Link and Netherlands KomaCrew. Both are playing very well right now and they met last night for an incredible match that ended in double overtime 19-17 with Germany Speed-Link coming out on top.

Join Deman tonight on QuadV TV1 for all the Live Video Coverage.
