GamesTV.org kicks off tv on demand system [Update 3]

image: 544_1212964754Dear (Enemy Territory) Community,
a few times already somebody tried to start an ettv-on-demand service but failed for several reasons after a while. We believe this is a great service for the community so we decided to give it a try. Like with normal tv servers we don't buy our own hardware to manage but rather offer a platform for everybody with resources to spare to add their servers and broadcast matches.
Our on-demand system works the same way: Everybody who's interested can take part, therefore we're confident that we can offer a big selection of replays with enough resources to cover the demand.
We start with a few participants who are kind enough to offer their hardware (thanks to Belgium Anaconda, Netherlands h3ll, Germany Skydriver and Germany Oldman) and hope to grow the number of available matches and servers when more server admins join in.

For you this means that you can choose to replay any of the available matches at any time by following the "Watch this Match now" link in matches where available. You will get your private server which will play the selected match offering 6 slots for you and your friends.
For now, this service is only available for Enemy Territory Matches.
Currently we're offering 833 different Matches played on up to 18 small replayers. The number of matches will grow continuously when new matches are broadcasted every day.

Your GamesTV.org Crew

Update: 1001 Matches available on up to 20 replayers

Update 2: Due to popular demand I adjusted the list view of the calendar so you can see instantly which events are available for replaying and even jump to the demand page direcly.

Update 3: United Kingdom andyF1 jumped in so now we have almost 1.500 Matches on almost 30 replayers

4kings - 7 of a Kind

image: 7ofakindinitialod0

After months of hard work and editing, the 4Kings ETQW team have released their very first fragmovie!

ETQW player Norway 4K^rglaf took up the challenge and has pulled off a movie that culminates both frags and editing to create a movie which lets you see the best parts of this team!

After many hours of putting the movie together, it is finally ready for release and is available for download. Great job to rglaf for the movie, and a great job to the whole 4Kings.ETQW for providing the content!

Quote by Statement from 4K.rglafAfter a couple of months really hard work (12 hour editing days etc), I am finally done with the 4K.etqw fragmovie. Originally intended to be made by someone else, I stood up and took the job when nothing seemed to happen. Pete "nkm" Newcombe has been a really good asset helping me out and giving suggestions throughout the whole editing period, and even though it's not a heavily edited movie, I still think it contains a couple breathtaking frags that I think everyone can appreciate.

TEK9 drop KammYz

TEK9 have announced the shock departure of star player Finland KammYz from the team. Although their website states that Mick is now in the team, your sarcasm detectors should be flying off the scales on that note.

Dropping KammYz is a bold move as he is arguably the most talented individual in the game to date. This writer could be heard at point suggesting that TEK9 need only hide behind KammYz in order to win, however the decision is motivated behind his inactivity and the teams desire to get into tip top shape ahead of the busiest summer CoD has known.

News will be forthcoming shortly as to his replacement, however whoever it is, he will have very big Finnish boots to fill. Meanwhile KammYz is actively searching another lineup to play in.

FF kicked out of EC!

Over at Clanbase, EC admin Belgium Bartichello made this statement:

QuoteI believe everyone knows what this will be about. After allot of suspicion surounding this player we have reviewed the last two EC matches Poland Fear Factory X-Fi was active in. It has come to our attention that gnajda was cheating in both the match between overload and Fear Factory X-Fi and as well in the matchbetween Impact Gaming and Fear Factory X-Fi.

Therefore the loser bracket final will be replayed between United Kingdom Impact Gaming and Belgium overload to decide who will play Germany megaProGaming e-Sports e.V. in the grand final later on.

BiO is Moving!

You may have noticed recently that the current BiO server has become a sw_Goldrush whore and not been changing maps! Well, the reason it hasn't been fixed is because BiO is on the move!

The current server sponsorship has now ended, so we took it upon ourselves to find a new host for one of, if not THE, most popular stopwatch based Enemy Territory servers still around today.

Everything is the same from the old server, which is about to be turned off as I write this, but people with the IP/Subnet bans should now be able to use the server without get owned by PBBans. Maps remain the same apart from Caen has been replaced by Adlernest for the time being (dont complain - I was contemplating putting Venice on). Enjoy!
