EuroCup: Playoffs kickoff

game's rescheduled to thursday -_-

To everything comes an end and so it did for the groupstages as sunday Europe Impact and Europe FatGames played the very last match. The match was quite highly anticipated as it was going to be the match of group B. Unfortunately though, FatGames weren't exactly up for the challenge and were overcome by the allstar lineup of Impact quite comfortably. That left FatGames in second placing for their group meaning they were to take it up against the team that placed first in group A, Germany MegaProGaming.

Less than a month later a 24-team 3o3 One-Day Cup and a 20-team 6o6 Double Elimination cup have now finished. With great feedback on how we could furthur the input in terms of organisation and coverage for this and future cups, we are proud to announce the winners of #RTCW-cup I.

Live2Win Final - Fnatic vs Revolution

image: Live2WinFinalx
Sweden Fnatic are coming from the lower bracket so need to first win Hungary Revolutions map choice and then on Backlot to take victory. It's certainly doable for the Swedish powerhouse but it will not be easy. They have had a good run throughout the Lower bracket since Europe Bangin it eurostyle put them their and tonight will be the last match in Sweden Fnatic colours for Sweden zsilts.

Hungary Revolution have done well in the Live2Win League having possibly their toughest game in the upper bracket finals against Europe Bangin it eurostyle on crossfire which they took 13-10. With only 1 map to win on their choice first they are going to be confident in tackling Sweden Fnatic.

VAE.QW lineup changes

image: vaebannercrossfire2

Europe VAE.QW saw some lineup changes this week.

Slovakia Bestik leaves the lineup this week to study for his finals and become a doctor in real life (defibrillators ftw!). He has earnt both the respect and friendship of his team mates for time served and his pronunciation of the word 'sewer' over voice comms will surely be missed, so please join me in wishing him all the best!

With Finland KaoS deciding not to continue ETQW for various reasons, their friendship since ETQW beta with the Europe VAE.QW guys meant that two of their players who wished to continue in ETQW easily found a new home.

No more pranks please!

Yesterdays big news Sassquaando Lan was every gamers dream! It was a news that was so big that almost every big news site$ published it. However what did seem to be too good to be true; a 100.000 euro eSport event in Holland, with a big poker company behind, turned out to be a prank.
Visitors on the site were after some hours redirected to Youtube with a video of Rick Astley with the title "Rick rolled".

However this rather innocent & stupid prank putted the people behind the-eXperience and Antwerp eSpot Festival to a test as the supposed event would colide with the earlier mentioned events. To assure total stability there has been a big dialogue between the one-time rivals; eventmanger Jens Christian Ringdal from Roskilde eSport who is organizing TEX and the organizer of AEF Steven Leuens.

EuroCup: group D final

image: ecbw4

Group D has so far this season for me turned out to be one of the most thoroughly upsetting groups I have ever witnessed in the history of ET EuroCup (I smell some nostalgic comments coming up!).
From the start Finland Vicious and Evil have definitely been favorites to come out on top whereas Poland FearFactory X-Fi and Croatia Cortana were to fight it out for the second place leaving Europe ephix at the bottom.
Nothing has been more besides the truth though as right now only FearFactory is certain of a playoffs spot and ephix tonight have it entirely in their own hands to get the second spot.
Moreover, v&e will even bow out completely if ephix manage to get the better of Cortana tonight, allbeit with either 4-0 or with a decider. So, Europe ephix obviously have it all to do tonight and I for one will be very interested to see how things will end up for this group.

First, though, we will be starting off the evening with Europe Tag taking it up against Europe FatGames. Group B has been lagging behind and has a lot of catching up to do. Tonight will be the first of three matches that still need be played for this group.
