EuroCup: overload versus Highbot

OVERLOAd 4 - 0 HighBot
[/b]

Yesterday the first match of the second round offered little surprise as Europe Impact-gaming did what they had to as they did the day before. They have now worked themselves up to a solid top placing in their group and team Europe FatGames are the only ones that can do anything to change it. Whereas their previous lineup on a first impression did not quite seem up to that challenge, perhaps their new additions will give them just the edge they need.
Tonight we have other things to focus on though as tonight it is group C's turn to step in to the spotlight. We have a big match for you on schedule which may well turn out to be the most important one of the entire groupstage...

QuadV's Thursday Coverage

We start things off early with the Call of Duty 4 Live2Win League Lower Bracket Round 5 on Crossfire between 2 of the recently ranked European top ten. We then move onto the non-stop action realm of Team Fortress 2. After 2 Champions League nights in the Football we take it one step further theSGL Team Fortress 2 Champions League Finals.

CoD4 - 19:30 CET Thursday 10th April - Fnatic vs Roskilde Ravens - Crossfire[/b]]

Sweden Fnatic come into this match from a superbly fought game with United Kingdom ephix on Backlot that went to overtime after some excellent clutch plays from both teams. Sweden Fnatic came out on top though and move into this match with Sweden Mintr looking likely to be back in action.

Denmark Roskilde Ravens will have an uphill struggle but many claim Crossfire to be their strongest map. Denmark Champ will have to work hard to give his rushing team members an advantage but if Sweden Mintr is back on his game this is a challenge I look forward to seeing. Denmark frijec will be looking to make amends after their dissapointing match against Europe Dignitas in the EuroCup.

CoD4 – 20:00 CET Thursday 10th April - 4Kings vs Speed-Link – EuroCup XVII[/b]]

Wait just a moment, new longer lasting double action quadV CoD4 coverage!. That's correct not just one TV stream of CoD goodness but two, as United Kingdom 4Kings take on Germany Speed-Link in the ClanBase EuroCup. Germany Speed-Link and United Kingdom Four-Kings are the perenial favourites of Group H in the 17th edition of the prestigious EuroCup. Many would argue that the winner of this game will top their respective group and thus have an easier time in the Double Elimination portion of ClanBase's most noteworthy on-line tournament.

United Kingdom Benzine and the boys will suerly be looking to keep their momentum coming hot off the heals of their i33 performance. Germany Speed-Link on the other hand can call on the formidable talents of Germany sM!Ty and Germany Nitro among others. With United Kingdom 4K slipping up in the first week and Germany Speed-Link triumphant, United Kingdom 4K will surely have a proverbial fire lit underneath them. Tune into TV2 for what promises to be a clash of epic proportions.

TF2 - 21:00 CET Thursday 10th April - Four Kings vs Kompaniet - Granary, Well, Badlands[/b]]

Europe Four Kings are perhaps the favourites coming into this match with a very close battle against Sweden Syre in the Semi-Finals which ended in an overtime Stopclock round on Gravel Pit. They will be looking to pick up theSGL before starting a busy season in the ETF2L.

Sweden Kompaniet have been dominant throughout the tournament winning all their matches convincingly. They will want to get one up over their rivals in this match viewed as the clash between the top 2 in europe.

The main story of this game along with the teams is perhaps the maps in which it is played. Viewed by many as perhaps the main 3 maps within Team Fortress 2 this game is surely due to be an epic encounter. Well, Granary and Badlands are perhaps the most entertaining maps I could dream of for this final so lets hope the game lives upto the challenge.

We will bring you Live Video Coverage on QuadV TV1 with Deman & Kee_RinG.

Impact versus dESIRE

image: ecbw4

Whilst the last match of the first round is still to be played (Europe n1ce versus Belgium Questionable is due for thursday), we are today entering the second matchweek. Yesterday saw a strong Europe Impact side easily overcome Europe Tag with a 4-0 win. The other match was less obvious and the Dutchies of Netherlands Team CoolerMaster eventually managed to grab a win on the decider map versus the likes of Finland Incomplete!.

Today we have just one match on schedule, as the title already suggests. Let's have a look at what we can expect.

EDiT find new home in Overload

image: 11s1gdy

Former Enemy Territory squad of Belgium Team EDiT lately also know by the name of 'Questionable' now became the new ET team of Netherlands Overload Gaming. As ovr lost it's team to the british multigaming clan United Kingdom Team Coolermaster, the dutch organisation around Headmanager Sainted were forced to look for a new ET site since they did not plan to quit focussing on Enemy Territory and its community. After being a bit disappointed due to losing a strong team, Overload Gaming should now be able to smile again, as they should have found a decent replacement with last Eurocup's second placing team EDiT. The team's lineup has undergone minor changes only, but have a look at the new Netherlands Overload.ET yourself.

Today's Eurocup!

Indeed, the title says it all as tonight brings another two big matches to your screen. It is time to round up the first groupmatches round and these four teams still have their parts to play.

Yesterday evening saw, to some surprisingly, Netherlands ephix take a round versus the Finnish side of Finland vae but eventually bowing out with a 4-2 win for the Finns. Then there were ze yermans of Germany MegaProGaming who did what they had to and took a relatively easy win against the Belgium 8Bits team. Very interesting was the game between Croatia cortana and Poland Fear Factory X-Fi as the Poles definitely put their shoulders in to it and showed everyone that they are here to stay. Even though still very early in the groupstage, it seems FF are likely to be pushing through to the playoffs if they keep up their game.

But that was all yesterday and as said, there are three games left to be played for the first round two of which are due tonight!

QuadV Live2Win Coverage

After last nights epic encounter between Sweden Fnatic and United Kingdom ephix (formerly audacity) which saw ephix.will getting an ace, fnatic.tidde pulling out a triple deagle kill as well as overtime, we return once again to the Live2Win league which has given us some great matches so far and they will only get better as we near the final stages.

21:30 CET Monday April 7th - Upper Bracket Final - Bangin it eurostyle vs Revolution - Crossfire

image: mp_crossfireEurope Bangin it eurostyle have come a very long way in their online performances and myself along with a good few others are keen to see how they will perform at a lan. So far in this competition they have took on and defeated Sweden Fnatic, United Kingdom MYM (formerly TLR) and Denmark Roskilde Ravens to name but a few. For me they have to be favourites for this match up but anyone Hungarian may disagree!

Hungary Revolution have had a clear path plowed right through this league with big wins all the way, however now they meet a real challenge in the team they meet. With Crossfire as the map they will need to contain the fierce play style of Europe Bangin it eurostyle if they intend to win.

Final Score and Video: Hungary Revolution 13 - 10 Europe Bangin it eurostyle
