Cash Please becomes H2K

Today Netherlands h2k presented "cash please" as their new Enemy Territory: Quake Wars squad. The squad brings a wealth of talent and experience from the top echelon of Enemy Territory and the Battlefield series. The squad mainly excists of last CDC3 winners TheLastResort.et( also known as aMenti.) and 2 other players from top Battlefield clans such as NextGen.Gaming. They are currently playing in the ClanBase Open Cup, ESL and Enemy Down.

Squadleader Janis 'Clown' Zagrebins had the following statement:
QuoteSince the core of the team switched from ET to ETQW we have been looking for a MGC that shares our vision and want to support us. And we really feel we have found the perfect home in h2k gaming, witch will give us the opportunity to go further than we did in ET. We have also added two players that didn't play ET with experience from BF and other games and they are really fitting into the team. ETQW is a new game with tons of opportunities and we are proud to be joining the race for gold and glory under the h2k.thermaltake tag!

Statement H2k-Gaming Management:
QuoteWe are glad to announce a new promising team in a new game for H2k-Gaming. With their experience in the original Enemy Territory we think that this team will compete with the best of the world. The team is very talented, has the potential and we have faith in all the players in the team. H2k-Gaming will fully support this new team in the process and we are all hoping for the best. Welcome aboard guys!

The Finnish Success!

image: eurocup3

Yet again the Finland Fins are forced to defend their homes, this time against the western european
Belgium & Germany conquerors who are thirsty and not any drink will do, it's the Finnish blood they are after!

United Kingdom TosspoT will be shoutcasting both of these matches among with plenty of non-english ( Poland, Czech Republic, France ) shoutcasters casting Finland junk52 vs Belgium jaet. When you add up everything, it sounds like interesting mixture of expected, unexpected and exciting moments for tonight ladies and gentlemen! so once again it's your turn to head over to GamesTV.org, place your bets and cheer on your favorite!

Things are looking rosy for the vicious Finland Junk52 Theatre and their evil opponent, ex-cZar, Belgium JAET,
as no matter what the outcome of the match is, both teams will make it to the playoffs.
Since Belgium Bartichello worked hard for the preview of this match, including interviews from both teams, match summary, plenty of predictions et cetera, go and check it out at Clanbase.com - Bartichello's Preview on j52 vs cZar

While on the other match things aren't lookin that rosy, in fact, it's a Do or Die situation for the Finland not so complete team and their hairy German opponent, Germany Gamepoint. Both of the teams have won against Czech Republic eSuba and lost against Germany MegaPro, so a real struggle is to be expected for the second spot in the group, as the winner will advance to the playoffs and the losers will go home!

-thanks to Finland twidi for the lineup and x vs x graphics!

StopWatch in ET:QW gets a twist

When you talk about W:ET in competition there is one major element which pops in your mind: StopWatch. The greatest gamemode a game has ever seen in my opinion, and possibly the reason why Return to Castle Wolfenstein and Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory have been such popular games in online competitions. Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars, the spiritual successor of W:ET, features this popular game mode as well, however in a soon to come out patch, SplashDamage will twist the game mode around in a way which could either be loved, or hated in competition.

The following quote was taken out of an article announcing the upcoming update to the game:
Quote by Locki, ownder of SplashDamage and lead developer on Enemy Territory: QUAKE WarsStopWatch mode now features a bit of added logic code to better deal with ties. If neither team wins the map outright, the team that progressed further through the objectives gets the win. While this is the only StopWatch improvement in this update, we have a separate push to add lots more features to tournament support overall. More on that in another Blog.

A great move by SplashDamage to improve competition, or a major hit in the face for a team which just got fullholded at the first stage of a map? Only time will tell.

On the way with Speed-Link.CoD

Maybe some of you have heard about the Movie project about Germany Speed-Link.CoD.
Maybe some of you thought it's dead and will never be released, but now the time has
come and Speed-Link released their Movie, called
“Faszination eSports – Unterwegs mit Team SPEED-LINK.CoD”.

QuoteMore than 1:37 hours of documented film about a complete LAN-weekend, looks behind the scenes, interviews with all players of the team and further inside information concerning the team, which no one knew about until now, are awaiting you in this unique documentary. The movie has been produced by Matthias Lorenz, who did not only record the necessary footage himself but also took a very huge part in the entire planning, implementing and cutting the scenes for this movie. Next to his work the entire Call of Duty 2 team brought some new ideas and notes to the table that he could implement to make this movie as perfect as possible.

The main language of the movie is Germany German with a German subtitle, but you can also select an United Kingdom English subtitle, that's why the size of the movie is around 1.9 gig. But that's the minimum version, means it doesn't include extras and has a lower quality. According to Germany Michael “Trigger” Sowa that still makes an 8,5 out of 10.

The "Directors Cut" version has a size of 4,3 gig and is an .iso file, which includes a complete and extensive DVD menu with a lot of extras and outtakes, the possibility to select the chapter you wish to view, enabling subtitles in German or English as you personally prefer and finally the trailer of the movie.

ET:QW Infantry Cup hits finals

As the ephix cup reaches it's last game, we will see Greece grof vs United Kingdom Dignitas facing each other in the finals tonight at 22:00 CET With GROF having beaten pelit in a very close 4:2 game, and grof therefore coming from the lower bracket, having already lost to dignitas on island, dignitas are certainly favourites for the match.

In the consolation final pelit failed to win their map, island, whilst losing to grof despite strong efforts. grof having chosen sewer also failed to win their chosen map, having lost by 15 seconds due to a series of mistakes. Having reached the decider map of salvage, grof managed to pull through a win, concluding a particularly exciting game.

Lineups for tonight are expected to be as follows:
dignitas[/b]:]
Belgium Bjorn Estonia Reload Denmark utr Germany senji

grof[/b]:]
United Kingdom sin United Kingdom hentai Norway athex Netherlands 2easy

With both teams having played each other on a number of occasions, dignitas have often had the upper hand, and again come into this infantry match having won every match so far, beating teams such as Europe junk52 & Greece grof. grof also reach the final having beating teams such as Spain wArning! & Finland pelit along the way, reaching the final match with both teams having earned their place in what is expected to be an interesting final. Despite the unfortunate dropout of the particularly strong team Sweden Eyeballers, we can only hope the cup will finish as well as it started.

AB = Dignitas map
BA = Grof map but only if grof wins the first map, this is because they come from loserbracket.

- Vehicles are not allowed.
- Flying vehicles are not allowed.
- Deployables are not allowed.
- Air strikes are not allowed.
- Heavy weapons are not allowed.
- Only one sniper rifle/railgun is allowed per team at any time, however Covert Ops/Infiltrator aren’t limited.
- Mines, Tripmines, Flyerdrone and 3rd eye camera cannot be used, with exception of the flyerdrone on volcano obj3.

ClanBase Page

United Kingdom Dignitas wins 3:2

For those of you who don't understand the meaning of a 2:2 win, because grof has come from lower bracket, it is necessary for them to win both maps. Dignitas only needed to win 1 map to win the match due to coming from upper bracket.

Map 1: area22
-dignitas attack first and set ~16:30
-grof attack and win setting ~11:30
Map 2: sewer
-grof attack setting 8:10
-dignitas attack and win setting ~7:30
