One Soldier take on Dignitas

image: eurocupTonight sees another epic encounter in this seasons EuroCup Group stages with United Kingdom One Soldier who are formerly known as Belgium ZeroBarrier, taking on reigning champions United Kingdom Dignitas. With One Soldier wanting to build on their impressive performances at CPC2 beating sides such as Europe zeroPoint and finishing first in their group, and Dignitas wanting to forget their weekend in Netherlands Enschede where their unbeaten record of over a year was broken.

One Soldier bring two new players into the fold with familiar names Netherlands Overboost and Netherlands BuLL joining the ranks to face the formidable Dignitas side. Dignitas see welcome the return of Estonia Night, who was unable to attend the LAN - meaning Dignitas will be at full strength tonight to begin this seasons EuroCup Campaign.

Predictions[/b]]
Netherlands Leonneke
Quotenow that the eesti powerhouse Night can compete @ dignitas's side, it will be an interesting match. Especially if one soldier do the same as they did in the groupstages @ CPC2. In the end I guess that dignitas will triump over one-soldier 4-0

Finland twidi
Quoteonesoldier did really well at CPC2, but now specially after their recent roster changes, I don't think that they're able to challenge dignitas in any way. Should be easy 4-0 for dignitas if nothing really special happens

Germany humM3L
Quote0-4 for dignitas

Finland Tiigeri
Quoteeasy bash for dignitas :)

Dignitas shuffle the pack again..

After another disappointing performance and losing their crown at the Crossfire Prizefight Challenge 2, United Kingdom Dignitas made the bold move to once again remove the only recently added 5th Sweden mint and return to a all UK lineup by once again stealing talent from major rival United Kingdom Reason-Gaming.

United Kingdom Dignitas : Dignitas homepage
QuoteBlackmane, the former Reason star joins us to once again bring our line-up to UK only. We hope the addition of Blackmane will infuse the team with pure skill and a smart head that he has shown us all during various LAN events we've met him at. Blackmane's experience of playing at the top level made him an easy choice to take on board, and once again we can unite as a UK side.

United Kingdom Dignitas/Mick : Dignitas homepage
QuoteAfter CPC II we felt that the chemistry in the team didnt feel right. So we have unfortunately decided to remove mint from the lineup but we thank him for his effort over the past month or so. Our new 5th who is none other then Blackmane , this brings our lineup back to an all UK lineup which we hope will bring us back to the glory days, when dales was around. Blackmane is a high calibre player joining us from Reason Gaming.

This now leaves the Dignitas side looking like:

United Kingdom Jonathan raz Baker
United Kingdom Michael Mick Bradshaw
United Kingdom Michael trainee Harper
United Kingdom Ben beNN Bell
United Kingdom Chris blackmane Kinnair

You can catch Dignitas playing tonight, setting out on their defense for the Eurocup in a clash with the all Swedish side Germany VAE on mp_toujane War Info. With this news, Sweden mints departure makes it the 2nd high profile kick in as many months from Dignitas, and despite the fact that they are "90% sure" they will attend the recently announced United States of America WSVG Dallas is everything okay over at Dignitas ? Mints statement to Gotfrag further clouds the situation but Ill leave it up to you to decide.

Sweden Mint :
Quote"I had a good time in Dignitas, was looking forward to WSVG unfortunately it doesn't look like I'll be able to go, too bad it had to end. Don't know where I'll go from here but it doesn't look like there is a lot to do, probably quit gaming. Shouts to zEm, crow, frijec & dark. You, me, we!"

TeK-9 make some roster changes

image: tek9logoop3Multi-national Call of Duty 2 giants TeK-9 make further ammendments too their roster after the announcement of Dutch player Netherlands SKO forced to go in-active in the near future due to school and studies. The replacement for the fifth spot is not the usual back-up player that supports the team France vazy but a brand new addition to the line-up. The player is non other than former suXus player Netherlands Burak 'haya' Aydin who showed promising performances during his trialing period for the TeK-9 team. haya gave the following statement on the TeK-9 web site about the recent news.
Quote by hayaAfter suxus died, I was busy trying to find a new home for me to fit in. I couldn’t find a good team at start, but tek9 gave me an offer I couldn’t refuse :D. My trialling time went good in the time and at CPC2 I had a few words with the guys from tek9 and that made my decision pretty easy. So it was clearl for me to continue with tek9. We are now preparing for the upcoming tournaments and events. I hope to have a bright future with these guys and a lot of fun.

With SKO going in-active the TeK-9 team have decided to release vazy from their roster leaving a five man active roster with SKO still labelled on the squad sheet.

Under Fire - A CPC 2 Documentary

image: thumb_181_138_default_9 A memorable weekend has gone by. We've seen upsets, we've seen accused players clear their name. 6000 Euros in prize money have been distributed and countless hours have been spent playing ET and CoD2, drinking and hanging out.

What better way could there be to recap this weekend than to look at the photos and matches again? Moving pictures are a perfect tool. And while you might want to see the video on demand with commentary, you are surely interested in what has happened throughout the entire tournament, what players and managers had to say.

Tonight at 23 CET, GIGA 2 is going to air a one hour show reviewing the Crossfire Prizefight Challenge 2. A part of that show will be the CPC 2 documentary Under Fire. Featuring interviews with Steve "toxic" Micallef, Paul "eVo" Sexton, David "dAv1d" Philippaerts, Michael "potter" Kantringer, Sebastian "butchji" Kupke and Florian "gifty" Gunzenhauser, it offers you a view behind the scenes of CPC 2 that you might not have seen so far.

CB EC Matchweek 1 - Day 2

The ClanBase EuroCup Matchweek 1 - Day 2 features another EuroCup match, today Europe polar eSports will face the Dutchies from Netherlands Morrigu in there first match. polar, directly invited into this seasons EuroCup is the favourite in this match. They'll play with aeq instead of snoop in this match which might matter as snoop is a great player. That gives Morrigu the oppertunity to surprise tonight and show where they're made of. Morrigu have some experience in the EuroCup and played on the last LAN altrough they had a different lineup in both competitions. Polar on the other hand showed us a nice performance in the CPC2 by ending 1st in their group leaving Impact, the later finalist, behind them. Unfortunate for them, they lost against the mix team of vae in the elimination rounds. Morrigu lost all their matches on the CPC2, but gained alot of experience by playing there. If you try to compare both team, the outcome is mostly the same - polar has better aimers and their lineup is together for quite some time (incl. aeq), that leaves Morrigu as underdog, but after seeing their lineup they are capable of a surprise.

ETTVod is here!

image: ettvd_small There are huge archives of demos from years back on the current ETTV-servers. Wayne, rumba and skooli, the German trio, decided to make these demos useful. Skooli has created a script and BANG! here we are.

Now all the site members of http://www.polar-esports.info/ can access the Polar ETTV-server's database holding some 40gb of demos (597 full games). Register to the site as a normal member (don't forget your password since the email function is disabled at the moment) and add your personal infos. Then just log in and you'll see "ETTV"-button right under your name on the left-hand side. Click it and you'll see another log in feature. Proceed with another log in, same username and password as just a moment ago, and you are ready to watch the legendary games you might have missed.

No need to wait until the ETTV-servers will play the replay you have been waiting for, now you can watch any demo on the site any time you like. Just connect the ip adress you receive after clicking the "Play"-button with your ET client. Up to four people can watch the same demo simultaneously. 12 servers can run at the same time so if no server will be set up you just have to wait for one to come vacant.
