An all new Lugerfrag will come your way sunday at 2100CET! Of course as always I wont do this show alone, but I will be accompanied by the only man who really knows what an emo is, foonr! It has been about 2 weeks since our Episode 9 fiasco, so therefore we will do another episode 9. Hopefully Murphy's law wont apply this time. Readmore for the content.

Wolfcam Update Available

Many months ago I posted a journal regarding Wolfcam for my upcoming movie GoodGame, I was lucky enough to be contacted by Sebastian "elf" Jedruszkiewicz who had been modifying Wolfcam for his own movie and he let me use his changes. Upon request he coded some more changes into the program and with it gave Wolfcam far greater functionality and compatibility with the ETPro cvars.

You can download the modified changes Here by simply replacing the files in this rar with those in your current Wolfcam folder, you may wish to backup the originals.

Readmore for a full changelog, and let me give thanks once again to Sebastian for his great effort and work!

Battle For Berlin - Tournament Championship Match

image: bfb_banner_xf

Battle For Berlin is proud to present the last match in the tournament, the tournament championship match!

United States of America Hostile Inc vs. Europe HighBot on Ice tonight!

Hostile Inc is made up of Slayaya (fX, opp), Remedy (wSw, fX), Rambo (-a-, fX) and their backup Serum (fa, -Tv-). They are a solid team, with alot of experience with each other. Good shots, quality strats, and dedication to beat their opponent took them this far, will it get them the gold? Only time will tell.

HighBot is made up of HumM3L (Intellic, HighBot), FireBall (HighBot) and z3ro (HighBot). They are a well oiled machine, being a very dominant force in EU. They have acceled in their matches over their EU competators and really shown that tactics are more important than guns when playing against US teams. They played Hostile Inc and where knocked out to the Losers Bracket, and now they face off again in the finals - Will they best the team that beat them, or fall to them once again? Again - Only time will tell :).

Nations Cup X Groups

From Clanbase Belgium [CB]Anaconda:

As announced yesterday, we now have the full list of Nations that will compete in the groupstage.
We have created 4 groups with 6 Nations each. The numbers #1 and #2 from each group will continue to the playoffs, where we will have a total of 8 Nations batteling for the victory !

As of today, we expect all the teamcaptains to finalise their roster, this means: Add your players and make sure they have added their GUIDS. Because guids WILL be checked before each game. So captains, you are warned !

Now lets have a look at the groups shall we ?

Post-Season CoD2 Team Changes

image: cod2news2wb6

After a rollercoaster LAN schedule over the last few months the CoD2 scene has finally slowed down and with that comes the inevitable slew of player changes. The initial moves were to involve digitalMind, infamous for changing their roster after events. Coming off a win at Netgamez, a poor performance at the Milk LAN and a much better one at WonderBase, the Dutch side decided to remove Breazi and cut roEl from the starting 5. They did this safe in the knowledge that they could replace them with the talented duo of Zem and Rapz who were to move from H2k.

This would leave the digitalMind lineup as follows...

Netherlands Rikk
Netherlands Roy
Netherlands Nutec
Netherlands Zem
Netherlands Rapz

TeK-9 preview 2007

image: tek9Netherlands Scarface of TeK-9 has previewed the opening lans for CoD2 in 2007. The season is looking to be quite busy already, and there are even more events on the way that havent been publically announced, so it'll be happy hunting for the cream of the crop once again. 2006 has Eurocup online still to come, but it is the start of 2007 where all hell breaks loose once more and heres a preview:

QuoteCrossfire Prize-fight Challenge LAN 2

Probably one of the best LAN’s of 2006 was the Crossfire LAN that featured in Rotterdam, Holland back in the late summer. This LAN event featured a very spectacular result that surprised many in the community as the newly formed Dignitas line-up became the first team to beat SPEED-LINK at a LAN ruining their reign of being top dogs. Dignitas also became the Crossfire champions of the tournament, a great moment for the team.

It has recently been announced that leading communal site for Call of Duty 2, Crossfire.nu will be teaming up with Wzzrd to bring another LAN event. The expectations of this are high already with the announcement only being made a few weeks ago. Hopefully this will make out to be just as good, if not better than the last event and with more support this time around, it sure seems like it will be.

You can read the full preview Here at TeK-9

Additionally, GotFrag previewed 2007 with a poll about the most anticipated lan of 2007, which Crossfire was proud to have done well in. 2007 is gearing up to be a hot year of CoD action once again!

Doctors Return!

Belgium mAx's internet searching skills brought to his attention one classic line from 2002 on the very day that the Doctors have returned to competitive action, unfortunately in CounterStrike.

It was this line back in March of 2002 from CPL Director Angel Munoz that saw the Doctors chose playing Wolfenstein proffesionally over CounterStike;

QuoteI do agree with you that RTCW is an interesting and viable game and our announcement today should prove that we are open to the possibility of using it at the Summer Championship Event.

Wiseguy from the Doctors followed that statement with:
Quote"RTCW is just an overall better game, and the way CS1.4 is looking our interest is lacking. We started the clan primarily for counter-strike, and who knows maybe one day we'll get back into it. Farewell CS, hello RTCW. " -- wISeGUy on the Doctors's Website.

The side went on to glory in Quakecon, but the game was never used in the CPL. Today the side returned to aim for glory and steal Mr. Munoz's money, this time in CS. They have joined Quakecon ET champions, Check6 and have surprisingly kept Wombat in CS rather than Quake 3 for the World Tour in 2007 despite him being a former CPL Q3 champion. Doctors won the GGL's DigitalLife F.E.A.R TDM tournament in October.

The highlight of the second round came as Overdose gaming took Logitech UVM to a third map, somehow holding out for just over 10 minutes thanks to a strong final stage defence on Supplydepot2 - ensuring they made the next round. Grand Final:

The highlight of a tight final came on Braundorf_B4 as brot made a last minute dash through the covertly opened teamdoor, to come within seconds of winning it for his team. But Spirea did enough to prevent the plant. morrigu will be ruing their disastrous Goldrush defence.

Could this be the birth of another Finnish powerhouse?
