Time to sign up, soldier!
I'm glad to announce that signups to the Crossfire: Battle for Berlin are now open. We had a fantastic response in the initial newspost both from teams, fans and people wanting to getting involved (coverage people, I'll be in touch soon!) and now its time to suit up and sign up for the tournament.
The schedule for matches that was announced in the initial newspost will stay, we will be very strict with the scheduling system as we intend to build coverage around that schedule. If you cannot make the dates below then this isn't the cup for you! We will only allow rescheduling for exceptional circumstances.
To signup please send your team name and team roster to CrossfireSignups at gmail dot com. Team Rosters will be limited to 8 players to prevent bogus rosters and teams will only be allowed to make 1 change to that roster from the moment they signup to the moment the tournament concludes.
Schedule
October 20th WB R1
October 23rd LB R1
October 27th WB R2
October 30th LB R2
November 3rd WB R3
November 6th LB R3
November 10th WB Final
November 13th LB R4 & R5

Ever since SAGE and the split up of MVP, our previous team, we were determined to get back into the scene as a serious contender. In our search for a decent and stable team our eye got caught by belgian Fraternity. However, with the start of the CB Eurocup only few days ahead some of the bF-squad were no longer willing to go on with the team leaving us on the lookout for some fresh blood to fill the ranks. With the lineup we've come up with we believe we have a strong chance to fullfill our goal of competing with the top teams out there starting off with the Clanbase Eurocup and the upcomming Battle for Berlin.

As many of you are aware both Anexis and Team Dignitas have been rather quiet since their 1st and 2nd place finishes at SAGE Lan. With little competition and the summer period, it seems both teams have had some troubles with their lineups, that and the recent community uproar demanding and forcing the format be reverted back to the original 6on6.
With this announcement comes some unfortunate news that Jay “Jay” B. will not only be leaving the Anexis lineup, but he will also be quitting the game competitively due to a lack of motivation and time. Jay has been part of the lineup from its very roots (Impact.Gaming) which began with a 2nd place finish at AEF.

On the 29th September the Battlefield 3 Open Beta went live, giving you the chance to play before the games release on the 28th October. If you're new to the Battlefield series then it can be summarised as another modern First Person Shooter which features plenty of vehicular game-play. It's cutting edge graphics and physics are provided by the brand new Frostbite 2 engine - but don't expect to run this game on your machine that can barely churn out 125fps in Enemy Territory. The developers revealed that two top of the range graphic cards in SLI will just about be enough to make the most of the engines potential, and for anyone else who wishes to see Battlefield at its best then an upgrade will be in order.
