Statistics like this should never be taken too seriously, however it does give a general idea of what the past of Enemy Territory has been like.
Though it took a lot of time, I had fun creating these charts and I have to admit that some of the things that came out surprised me quite a lot.

One Man Army - Jaka 'Jakazc' Keyzar is a phenomenal guy - he is the only Slovenian to ever have won money for playing ET and yet his success is enough to put Slovenia on the fifth place in the Nations rankings.

Godmode? - For ages Vaiko 'Night' Vainola was somwhat flying under the radar for countless fanboys. There since the beginning of RtCW he has become the single most successful ET player ever. Two QuakeCon titles, as many EC trophies and countless smaller achievements - He is the King of Enemy Territory. His own winnings alone would place him in top 5 in both Team and Nations rankings.

There when it matters - KiH and ET ? Yet the team has been present when big money has been handed out and despite not always haning around it has been enough for a 5th place among teams and helped Sweden to a nice 4th in the Nations rankings.

American dream - Not many europeans believe that Americans know how to play ET. Yet living in the land that is too far off for unsponsored European teams to reach and accidentally the country where QuakeCon is held helps u5.et to a 3rd place in the team rankings and the United States of America to the second place in the nations rankings. If we lived in America we could all sue our parents now for not giving birth to us there.

Do you know Team-pumu ? - pumu - the biggest star of all the video and picture material to come from QuakeCon 2006 attendees - is ranked 93rd among other ET players in the rankings. There is nothing unusual about that, but the fact that HUGE names like teKoa (48th) and mystic (tied for 49th) have earned just around 150 $ more seems way off. No discredit to pumu intended.

41,52% - This is how much of all the money have Estonian ET players won during the past few years. The Nation has been among the best for a while in Clanbase Nationscups and had quite a few great players already back in the RtCW days. But where is Israel ? They've had topteams in the scene for years, Belgium has just one player in the rankings, as does the UK. Does not having 1 extra special player mean so much? Jakazc led Slovenia and Anubis and gifty led Switzerland haven't been on the map by far as much as for example Israel and the UK.

THE FUTURE?

Crossfire Prizefight Challenge is already in a couple of weeks offering a 3000 € prizepot and the ESL has also decided to give out some money for the best ET players. We will probably see more ET in the Clanbase EC. And as you all probably remember in the following months we can all eagerly wait for the 10K $ Cheque from id Software which will mean even more Enemy Territory LAN action with cash prizes.

ET = dead? haha :)

This is a speculation, but what if Enemy Territory walks the path of CS 1.6 and Quake 3 - to remain times more popular than the sequel(s) Quakewars was fun, but I can hardly imagine it being a competitive game and "RtCW 2" is being made foremost for Xbox. What if those games fail to take over the ET players and spectators? Will it mean another quakecon? or two?
We will have to wait and see but it is certainly not impossible.

But as long as no new games are out to threaten ET yet, there are things to look forward to. Will the combinde total of cash prizes given out for ET reach the 100 000 $ margin? What about 100 000 €?
And what changes will the upcoming events make in the current money rankings of ET?

Tournaments to come that have some cash to be won in Enemy Territory!
