I would like to thank everyone who has helped me create these rankings.
Though I am probably too big of a statistics freak, myself, I still believe that rankings like this one are fun to look at and compare different teams players and nations.
With more cash to be won in ET in the near future it should also be interesting to see how the new events affect the ratings, how people who did well or not as good as expected in the tournaments rise and fall in the rankings.
I encourage everyone to take a look at the past of Enemy Territory and search for more tournaments that might have had some cash on the line. It doesn't matter how big or small the prizepurse was...

In the order of appearance:
I would like to thank Cash and Carmac from ggl.com who created the "Money!!! The GGL Professional Gaming Survey" over at www.ggl.com . Their article inspired me to write a bigger summary about prizemoney in the Enemy Territory scene.
Mrozu for all the information regarding the PGA 2005 LAN tournament in Poland.
incognito for the last two players in the .dot team that won 3rd place in the PGA 2005 LAN.
kekkyoku for information regarding GGL Season 1, GGL Preseason, unF 3v3 tournament and GFO 3 tournament.
brs for detailed information about singularity winning INVEXCUP 2 and Gz cup in the Czech Republic.
EDIT: Not only did this guy provide full information about the two previously mentioned tournaments, but he did aswell dig out the Czech tournament Gamezon Logitech ET League 2005, for which he once more provided fully detailed information. Great guy :)
Everyone who have provided bits of important information and through this have helped make these rankings less imperfect.

As for the comment itself, it is semi-inside joke, the article was first published in August and it had actually a lot of comments, which were all lost with the website change. If you'd look closely you'd notice I posted this comment two days before this was made a sticky.
This means that roughly 8500 $ - 9000 $ is not added in the players rankings and this amount is well big enough to cause some serious mixups in the rankings.
If anyone has any information please do contact me :) thanks

not sure why they put Lugar in front of every clanname, but I think this was the lan you're talking about.
nice job :)
guess this is just an update
nice read
actually well I also ment the main idea of this article, same kind of layout and info in it.
What I do know that TosspoT did was rank teams throughout the wolfenstein series based on "worth of the victories" roughly at the same time.
My article was written after reading this ggl article - http://www.ggl.com/news.php?NewsId=3818
Hmm.. yes I remember Tossie writing about the whole wolfenstein scene since there was iNfensus included on the money prices.
Good stuff and hopefully people will realise that there is money/prices in Enemy Territory aswell. And what comes to those "et is dead"-comments, well they are usually written by arrogant ppl, youngsters also known as noobs or so...;)
Waiting for your next arcticle already, keep up the good work.
that was my point, no wonder if it looked familiar
THOSE ARE LIKE GOLD BRICKS

I just had no idea :D. But it is great to find out about it now. Could you please provide a bit more information about this event? When was it who won money and what were the lineups for moneywinners.
btw, actually Pourrix didn't finish 3rd of ET Fraglang, but ... 9th !
They won Loser bracket, but losers from winner brackets didn't play in the loser bracket. Sad but true.
Sum-up here : http://wiki.enemyterritory.fr/index.php/ET_Fragland_3#Tableau_final
They won 500 euros whilst 3rd & 4th won just few goodies. :)
I heard there were Fragland 1 and 2 also with money prizes some time ago. Do you have any idea how I could get some information about those lans ?
imo, make a journal asking for some infos about Fragland 1 & 2
Many French read crossfire daily, some of them should help ...
if it's failed, I can ask for infos on et-fr forum.
rofl. fuck me :s
