Notable Achievements:

2nd Outpost Lan
1st iseries-28
1st Crossfire Lan

Team News:

A great performance at the Crossfire Lan was not enough for beNN to hold on to his place in the Dignitas EC lineup as qwertY returns from holidays to compete in Denmark. Overall though this will be a vastly different lineup to the one that went down 16-6 to Check Six in the online playoffs. Dales and Trainee, the remaining new additions, seem to have been just what they needed and since their arrival Dignitas have really stepped up a gear, taking top 2 at both the last major lans. Dales also seems to have brought out the best in his brother, Mick, who has been reliving the glory days of Levitation and Supermen with some dominating performances. The real key move for Dignitas though is the fact they finally have found a dedicated sniper in Trainee who was a revelation at the Crossfire Lan and gave them a definite edge over Speedlink in the finals.

Recent Form:

Dignitas are going into this event at the perfect time, fresh from victory at the Crossfire Lan and raring to go. Although they looked distinctly second best at the Outpost Lan they still put in some quality performances and while the competition at i28 was not great, it can only have been a positive experience for the team. Doubts still remain about their ability to perform on both mp_toujane and mp_carentan and with only a week to go they will want to have tightened up their play on these maps. They have looked great on mp_dawnville and mp_burgundy however, and will be hoping that their important games occur on these maps.

Team Comment:

This week see's the biggest Lan event in COD2 thus far and our preparation hasn't been too good but I think we have done ok. We will be practicing a lot more this week and maybe get some strats on trainstation 'lolable map' ready for the Lan. On that subject im really disapointed that trainstation has been added plus the fact that burgundy got removed for no reason what so ever confused me. I don't understand Wabbit's thinking on this and to top it off it can't be voted back in due to the rule that all 4 teams must agree to make a change that Wabbit is using. I have whined to Killerman who said he would talk to Wabbit about it but i guess it's done no good. I personally feel it's an attack on the Dignitas playstyle as burgundy is very fast paced and trainstation is a very campy unspectator friendly shit map which no one should ever have to play on.

Now on a more positive note. The good thing about qwerty playing is that he plays the same positions as beNN so I can't see there being too many changes or things we will have to work a lot on in order to perform like we did and with that I think we would be happy to go away placing 1st or 2nd, but the main thing is to enjoy the experience. I think the EuroCup will be great, I would have prefered a 5 star hotel rather then a hostel but hey this is about gaming not being a celebrity!. Im looking forward to playing on Denmark TV and i wish all GL and hf ! I think it will be interesting to see how the new check6 lineup plays and I can't wait to meet all the great players in Europe once more.
