ECXXI - Their hopes, their goals, their cup › Group A

On paper four out of six teams from this group will battle fiercly for the three playoff spots. However, nkNn and nOu may also deliver a surprise of two, especially if we consider that colt45 had to rebuild its roster from scratch and Impact is entering the competition suffering from inactive from both its rifle gifty and its fearless leader toxic.

  The groups are out, some matches have already been played. How do you think your team will perform in the group stage?
  To be honest, we don't play too much lately. However, most of the guys are very motivated after the win against Germany so I think we won't have any problems progressing to the playoffs. The first and second places in the group are in our reach :)
  
  What about the EC in general? Have you set any particular goals to achieve?
  It's rather unlikely that we will finish in the top 4, unless we start playing actively that is... Who knows :P
  
  Are there any teams in your group that you find to be particularly difficult oponents?
  Wait I need to check the groups first. If vae doesn't play the way they did against 1stCav then I think they can cause us some problems. Impact is playing badly, even mystic doesn't help them :P
  
  How are you going to prepare for that game?
  I think that five minutes before the game Wiesiek will take care of everything. He can really motivate everyone :D

  Considering the fact that your roster was rebuild from scratch just a few days ago after razz pulled off a "wiadro" on your team, how do you see c45's chances of progressing to the playoffs?
  I'm confident we can make the playoffs. I've had a look at our group and I see a 4-way race for the 3 teams that will qualify, those being us, FF, vae and Impact (no disrespect to aD or nOu way, they might surprise). And I think we can beat any of these teams on the day.
  
  How far do you think c45 can make it this EC in general? Will you and your team mates deliver more than just a spot in the playoffs?
  I think there's two teams that are going to be pretty much untouchable and that's the fins and Blight. The bronze is open for the others and we will do our best to grab it, no point playing EC if you don't think you can do well :P
  
  From the three teams you've mentioned before, which one do you consider to be the most difficult oponent your side will have to face in the group stage?
  We've scrimmed against all 3 and beat them with our old lineup but since it's a new lineup, I don't know how we will do against them. Impact will get better if their players adjust to 5on5, which I don't think will happen. So I think vae will be the toughest opponent.
  
  Correct me if I'm wrong but the last time I remember Zsolt was active was about the time when he played with me in Authentic, which was back in 2008. How did you manage to convince him to drop CoD4 for ET and do you think he will deliver a top-notch performance in the coming games?
  That was all Nonix's doing. I joined the channel and saw fobje there already and of course I did not mind because he is a a great player with great experience. We've only played 3-4 scrims and he's played really well considering he's been out for so long. So I think he's going to fit in great with us.

  Considering Impact's recent problems in the human resources department, how well do you think Impact will perform in group A?
  I wasn't aware we had any problems in that department :P We always knew that toxic and gifty would not be fully available until june which is when we really kick start our preperations for the multiple lans coming up over the coming months. I think we'll perform ok but until we get our rifle we will always be lacking our true potential. That being said i think we continue to improve all the time and come our final games we will be as strong as i expect and demand from the team.
  
  That being said, I guess we will see Impact fighting for a podium finish at the end of this EC, am I right?
  I hope so, we need to get a bit more objective focused but these issues if they work themselves out should result in a strong finish, the potential is there to win it but this tourney may be a bit soon, obviously the lan is when i really want the team to peak.
  
  Out of the teams in your group which one may pose the greatest threat to Impact?
  vae should go through with us, i cant see them losing to anyone, they are probably a bit strong for us at the moment too, we'll see.
  
  We've had some interesting comebacks this EC, among others these include fobje, kris and mystic. How would you rate mystic's performances since his return to ET after several years of abscence?
  He's playing great, think some of the team were unsure of my decision to get him, however, they quickly changed their tune as he seemed to be in great shape in even his first game back, he can probably improve a little more but he is just as effective as he ever was imo.
  
  Final question. The acquisition of R0SS by Impact came to many as a surprise. Will he play a vital role in Impact over the coming months or will he be in the shadow of other players?
  He won't be playing any role he will only be with us for a couple more weeks as he is in the final stages of putting his own LAN team together. I think people underate him though, i mean he is no match winner, there are very few players out there that are however he never lets the team down, he can cut it with the best.

  The groups for this EC were annouced several days ago. Considering you will have to face teams like Impact, vae and Berza how do you see your chances when it comes to progressing to the playoffs?
  Well tbh i don't think we'll make the playoffs since we were put in a group with a lot of good teams. I just hope we'll be able to win a map vs some good teams and make an impression.
  
  In your opinion, against which of the good teams is angelDust most likely to win a map?
  I have no idea, since we haven't played any of them yet.

  I think we have a good chance to advance into playoffs. Since colt45 has a new lineup and FF not being active and aD has caej now, they are all very beatable. Impact seems to lose games too, but they are strong and I think it will be a real challenge to beat them, but everything is possible. And vae is just vae, they are strong.
  
  Since you consider vae to be the strongest oponent in your group. Are you going to prepare something extra for the match against them?
  Hehe no, we are not nerds :D

  The groups are out. How do you think your team will perform in the group stage?
  So far we are not doing very well but I am confident that we will reach to playoffs.
  
  What about the EC in general? Has your team set any goals to achieve, possibly a podium finish, or are you going to take one game at a time and see how it works out for you?
  We haven't set any goals, just having fun and will see how it works.
  
  Are there any teams in your group that you find to be particularly difficult oponents?
  I would like to say all, but lets say Berza and colt45.
  
  Are you going to prepare something special for the games against those teams, possibly adapt your tactics to the oponents style of play?
  Basicly we have chmpp who gives a small presentation of each team so we just read it and then we are ready =D
