It is beyond any doubt that everyone considers United States of America Blight to finish the group stage on the top of any other team in group B. Nevertheless, the battle for the remaining two playoff spots may last till the very last game of the round. Europe nulli secundus, Netherlands DreaM and Germany e-wave may not have the experience of Europe TAG or Europe SleeperZ but the group B underdogs may cause a lot of commotion around the 2nd and 3rd place.

The groups are out, some matches have already been played. Since most people consider your team to be the best in ET at present, I presume you are aiming to win both the group stage and the whole competition?
    That is correct!

Nonetheless, are there any teams in your group or the competition in general that you consider to be a potential threat to Blight?
Right now we are terribly out of shape so theres quite some teams that are a greater challenge to us than many would imagine. In our group there are teams like Europe Nulli secundus and Europe TAG that I am not comfortable playing against, overall there are the ones like Europe Team Rockit, United Kingdom Impact, Europe Ezmode, Finland Fintastic Five and Poland tMoe.

Since like you've said at present your team is not actually match fit. Does this mean that you will prepare something extra for the games against Europe nulli secundus and Europe TAG or perhaps are you going to play it by the ear?
We will try to pick up some extra practice for the games, but right now Estonia Reload and me are quite busy with Battlefield Bad Company 2. Once the playoffs start we will definitely start playing more.

The appointment of France K4rNaJ as your fifth came to many as a surprise. Considering that a team of United States of America Blight's calibre can get pretty much any player it wants, why did you eventually pick him?
He is in a similiar position as Estonia Reload many years ago when he was picked up by Estonia idle. We see great potential in him and will try to shape him accordingly, hopefully succeeding. Right now it is more of a gamble, but if it pays off we will have a great new player by our side. I also forced him to rename to France karnaj because it doesn't look as retarded as France K4rNaJ :D

The groups are out, some matches have already been played. Considering you will have to play against United States of America Blight, how do you think your team will perform in the group stage?
We got a hard group but we're performing well latest times and we prac alot so we're prepared for the group and i think we'll go through the group stage.

What about EC in general, have you set any particular goals?
Well first let's see how we will perform in the group stage. We're going for a win in any match, but in the Top 5 would be nice.

Besides United States of America Blight, are there any other teams in your group that may cause you some trouble?
Germany e-wave is performing well they lost 4-2 against United Kingdom Impact with a nice performance. we don't underestimate any team.

How well do you think your team will perform in the group stage of this EC?
Well, we've already beaten Netherlands Dream & Europe TAG in other matches but i think that we'll have some trouble with Europe Sleeperz and Europe nulli secundus. And of course United States of America Blight will beat us ;)

The performance of your team in the qualifiers came as a surprise to most of the community. Do you think your team will deliver more of the same and possibly finish on a high spot at the end of this EC?
We're aiming for playoffs obviously, but if we practice well, keep working on our teamplay then hopefully we'll progress further in the playoffs.

You admit that United States of America Blight will beat you. However, based on what we've seen so far you are a very motivated team. Is it possible that you will steal a map from United States of America Blight despite the anticipated defeat?
We usually get wrecked on Goldrush but we are a force to be reckoned with on Adlernest. But i wish United States of America Blight good luck and hopefully we will pull through on Adlernest.

The EC groups have been announced. How well do you think your team will perform in the group stage of this edition of EC?
Well we sure have possibilities to proceed to the playoffs. United States of America Blight will for sure be difficult but guess they wont be praccing much, although we don't really pracc either. Don't know what to expect from Europe TAG really, but i think we can beat em, our matches versus Europe Sleeperz and Netherlands DreaM will be the most important ones.

Is your team aiming to achieve something more or is a spot in the playoffs your ultimate goal?
Main goal is getting to the playoffs ye, getting further than that would just be a bonus.

Which team from your group do you think may make it difficult for Europe nulli to secure a place in the playoffs?
I expect United States of America Blight to get first spot and the ones who could steal the 2nd and 3rd place from us is probably Europe Sleeperz and Netherlands DreaM, once played a pracc versus dream and they were way better than i expected them to be. Europe TAG would normally be tough opponents but with their current lineup and activity i dont see them as a threat to us.

The groups for the upcoming EC have been announced. What kind of performance should we expect from your team in the group stage?
Think we've been handed a tricky group, and will have to be fully focused for all of our games so that we don't slip up. We've played some pracs against most of the teams in our group so we know what we can expect from them, but for us to pass it we'll have to take it game by game.

What is your ultimate goal for this EC in general?
Think a reproduction of our last EC season (4th) is close to impossible due to the randomness in 5v5 but also due to the amount of strong teams this season. Our goal atm is to pass the group-stage and then we'll judge upon the playoffs brackets what can be achieved and what not.

Is there any team in your group that may cause a threat to you team on its road to victory?
Like I said they are all tricky teams, but I believe if we play our game that we should be amongst the top3 of our group. I'm expecting a good fight in all our groupstage games and it should be all close to each other.

Will you approach that game like any other or will some extra preperation take place before the game?
We'll ofcours take a special look at the maps for the matchweek and work on eliminating any weaknesses we have on them, and trying to stop our opponents
from playing their game on it. For the rest it will be all about staying active and seeing that we get enough praccs so we feel confident enough to take on any team.

  • aphesia from Europe TAG]
How well do you think TAG will perform in group B?

Hard to say since we just started last week to prac with Europe TAG. We had alot of problems gathering the team together so i dont know what to expect from group B. But I think it shouldnt be a big problem to get out of the group.

Has your team set any particular goals for this EC?
To be more serious, we are aiming to get into the playoffs and from there we'll see how far we can grow in the tournament.

Besides Blight and yourselves who do you consider to be the best team in group B?
    Europe SleeperZ most certainly.

Will you approach that game in any special fashion or will you deal with it the same way as with any other match?
We'll just play the way we have always played, don't really think its necessary to change anything at all.
