Top Seed: Anexis eSports
German organisation Anexis eSports were quick to snap up their new talented squad after they left The Last Resort earlier this year. The team recently brought back sqzz into the already very skilled lineup after he left at the beggining of the year, but after the team failed to replace the Welshman R0SS managed to convince him to rejoin, this could be a defining factor for the teams chances at the LAN itself.
Jay
mAus
R0SS
sqzz
XyLoS
The team boasts players that feature on a lot of peoples lineups of all-time in XyLoS and mAus add to that the talent of Jay and sqzz they have every chance to do well at the event.
Player to watch: mAus
The Belgian is considered by many the best aimer in Enemy Territory's history and he doesnt let down when it comes to LAN events. Winning numerous Crossfire LAN events mAus will hope to add to his collection with SAGE gold.
Game Changer: XyLoS
XyLoS is one of the few high skilled rifles in the game, a single shot can make the difference for his team. Although the Italian is amazing with the rifle it is his smg skills which make him one of the best players in the game as he is very willing to drop the rifle when needed rather than hold onto it for too long. His decision making will be key in how well the team do at the event.
Anexis eSports are quite obvious favourites for gold but they have a lot of teams biting at their heals. Even if they underperform a Top3 placing should be garunteed purely because of the talent on show. R0SS' objective play in the big matches will make all the difference and as much fragging as the rest of his team will do, it will be down to him to keep the objective train going along to set those fast times.
High Seed: Almighty
Almighty formed after the failure of Justice League to find a suitable lineup for the event. crumbs rounded up some skilled replacements and the team could do well depending on prelan practice which has by all accounts been limited.
Ati_
crumbs
Kamz
miXer
vANQ
The team consists E-Series LAN winner Ati_ as well as experienced UK players in crumbs, Kamz and miXer. vANQ finishes off the lineup and brings with him some all-round stable play, being apart of the former FiF team which relied heavily on teamplay.
Player to watch: Ati_
The Dutchman has a lot of tricks up his sleeve when it comes to the rifle, which can be enjoyable to watch - Almighty will need him firing to have a good chance of progressing in the playoffs. Fresh from winning the E-Series event Ati_ will be looking to help his team in any way possible.
Game Changer: crumbs
crumbs is a player that always seems to make a big difference for the teams he plays for, if he is playing well the same thing can generally be said for his team. Although not relied upon his ability will give a great boost to his team mates on LAN.
Almighty should make it into the playoffs, and will hope for at least a top6 finish, but due to their lack of practice in the run up to the event they may have to settle for 7/8.
Mid Seed: Squirtles
The Polish team have been having a hard time in getting a team together for the LAN, as players have dropped they have had to recruit. They currently stand at four members and their participation at the event is in jeopardy. Unless they get that elusive fifth member they may not decide to attend - anyone interested in joining this team should contact them immediately!
Czarek
Dolar
lesti
Lukey
TBA
The lineup has played together for a while, and has reasonable amounts of teamplay, they managed a third poule seeding but they probably hoped for more. In their group they have Alimight and Anexis and on their day they could well upset Almighty to break into the playoffs.
Player to watch: Lukey
Lukey is a good aimer online and a lot of people have anticipated his attendance at SAGE to see if he is able to replicate these performances. His high accuracy comes with an annoying hit and run style of play that will break down opponents before his team can finis hthem all off.
If Squirtles manage to get a fifth player and attend then LAN they will cause problems to whoever they play and would be underatted at their opponents peril. Dolar and Lukey will be key to their success but unless they bring a good team game and play together they will be split up and die alone.
Low Seed: Team reVeal
Bio
draqii
eiM
Fendah
joey
The nearly all german lineup consists of players who have played together for a long time, a group of friends who will look not just to play at LAN but also have some fun.
Player to watch: eiM
eiM will be laying down the pain with his objective play and hopefully carving a way for his team through the consolation tournament, he will rely heavily on team work though and especially medic skills of draqii
They team has announced to challenge for rank two of their group, though it is more likely they battle it out for the wooden spoon. But they will not doubt enjoy the event as a whole. eiM is also an admin for the SAGE competition, so when you see him make sure you whine at him about something.
