Matchconfigs Hotfix

As already announced earlier there occured a bug within the new European and Clanbase configsets. We added a supply mapscript to avoid the satchel-exploit at crane controls. Due to this we had an invisible box blocking the players. We decided to change to another script without this fix. But be aware it is forbidden to abuse this exploit in any match!
With this post we provide you the fixed version of our configs.

After our very successful summer and fall cup series we are happy to announce a bigger tournament again. We noticed a rising activity and interest in our competitions and we will bring the ESL ET Winter League '08 to you.
This will include a 1on1, 3on3 and 6on6 tournament. The 3on3 and 6on6 format will have a free amount of slots that will be divided into three divisions (with groupstage and playoffs). We will split the divisions by skill and results achieved in the latest ESL Cups!

Most Matches Competition:
For the first time there will be the so called "Most Matches Competition" in the european section of the ESL. If you want to know more about this follow this link to the ESL newspost in which everything is explained. Basically one ladder is chosen per month (1on1 Ladder in October) in which the player with the most matches played in the specified month wins the competition and some month of premium accounts!

Back with Beta 3

Being back from my holiday in Turkey since 4 days now I present you the release of Sw Battery Beta 3. The changes that took place make the map much more playable and even for both teams. But without too much talking I will show off the major changes & fixxes that took place from beta1 on, with some pictures and of course the downloadlink.

(picture) The beachdoor placed at the old Bunker MG should already be old & known since the first releases of sw_battery. It can be destroyed by allies dynamite and gives an extra entrance to the bunker flag.

Today I will start with a little point of view of myself, stating what I think about the Battery competition case.

I am off the opinion that good old Seawall Battery has always been a great map, even for competition. Todays playstyle with much spamm killed the first stage though. The etpromapscripts made the biggest step to get Battery back into competition with making the backdoor blowable and giving the whole back part a sense. But still because the forward beach part of the map is just to uneven the map has not been played in competitions.

My aim with SW Battery is and was to change this, the first stage, and to make it easier for Allies to capture that bunkerflag. I have not and will not change much inside because it simply is not needed.
But I must admit that some of the changes were too much and finally made it too easy for Allies to infiltrate. Also the bunkerstage got too uneven due to the ladder which was thought to be anti flag recap but gave Allies a too big advantage. Keep in mind due to this there can not be too many changes.

Read on to see what I changed back and added again or whats totaly new.

Finally, after 7 Alpha releases , 2 beta releases , uncountable private tests , 3 ETTV Showmatches , approximately 3month time and several newsposts I am proud to release Special Delivery TE in final status. I have not made big changes from Beta2 because it was nearly bugfree, but you can view the full changelog at the bottom of this newspost.

Finally I can only say that it was a great project which got alot input and brought the feeling of ET being alive back to me and I hope that the map will get accepted in upcoming competitions, but already the poll on the right looks very promising!

As a sidenote I would love to see some people joining #et-domination , as the channel for the W:ET Domination Mod, which I'll try to get back alive in the nearer future!
