wArning! - ET No More

You’ve read the journal, here’s the news post…

Tonight we witnessed the final chapter of one ET's most respected clans. This team have competed at the highest level since the seventh day when God (bani) created ET. Achieving the accolade of Spain’s greatest clan, taking various honors and awards throughout their existence.

Morbit had this to say on their site (grammatical errors fixed)

Quote After more than 2 years it is time to call it a day. We had 4 different teams in all over this long period but me (morbit) have been the only in all of them and what I can say is that the motivation is now what it used to be.

So we have decided to quit. We’ve talked about it on and off for a long time now and we agreed that after the EC our Red squad would be no more.

The current Red team members will go their separate ways, some remaining in ET whilst others travel the world in search of a social life.

Final wA Red Squad

- Spain Morbit
- Spain Dude
- Spain FanTer
- Spain Dr3am
- Switzerland Anubis
- Netherlands Lightning
- Netherlands mike

Co-incidentally (woo) I won’t be posting anymore news, thankfully someone with writing talent has finally decided to get active. Go foonr :>

Seasons Greetings From #ET-Cup

image: untitled4cr

You should recognize the name by now. #ET-Cup is a relatively small scale operation trying to provide quality competitions for the ET community. We’ve been through four successful Cups to date, from an allstars invite event to the latest 3v3 offering.

A landmark 5th Cup is on the horizon, scheduled to start this January though no date is set as yet. This is where you come in…

We want you! Your contribution on map choices, do RTCW conversions just not do it for you? Are the customs available just not fun enough? Sign up and have your say.

Discuss anything from team sizes to the map pool, should it be an exclusive invite only competition or a free for all?

SPU9 has kindly donated 2 BNC’s which will be awarded to the two most constructive posts.

Have your say here! - the competition closes Chrismas Eve (24th December)

Monday Night Live o.0

“Monday Night Live” “Eurocup Monday” “Monday Special” (add nausea)

Well the catchy titles outa the way, let’s get onto the ETTv. Tonight the second round of action gets underway in both Group A & Group C of Eurocup XII. With the 3v3 #ET-Cup final thrown in to add that extra spice.

Insanity! – the surprise package of the playoffs got off to a disastrous start, seemingly collapsing against a strong IDKFA team in Week 1. Though not a team to be underestimated after they overturned Thunder Force in the qualifiers. Ratatosk, one of the eight direct invitees had a complete roster overhaul recently. Though that doesn’t detract from their immense teamplay and crossfires.

The table currently looks like:

Europe IDKFA P2 W2
Europe Ratatosk P2 W2
Israel Insanity! P2 L2
Poland Logitech UVM P2 L2

Comp: ClanBase Eurocup XII – Group A

Currently sat at the top of Group A after a comfortable win over Team Zenith Black are the plucky Germans Ocean6, with idle.ee still to play. Tonight their neighbours Instant Defeat will take on the mighty Estonians searching for their first win of the campaign. A victory tonight for idle.ee should all but see them through to the knockout stages.

The table currently looks like:

Estonia idle.ee P2 W2
Germany Ocean6 P2 W2
Germany id.no P2 L2
Russia zenith P2 L2

Well if 6v6 doesn’t tickle yer fancy tonight we’ve a treat in store. The final of the 3v3 #ET-Cup gets underway as Die Monkey Die take on pwn-team.

On The First Day Of Xmas...

It’s here, December! A month full of drinking, celebration and most importantly Eurocup! With only 12 days left till the knockout stages these next few weeks are vital for teams with any aspirations of Eurocup glory.

We’ve an unprecedented three matches tonight across three differing groups. The first a replay of the #ET-Cup (2) final between pstarZ and wArning! in Group D. We then head off to Group B as the rescheduled clash between one4one and uQ Gaming gets underway. Then finally a top versus bottom encounter between IDKFA and Logitech over in Group C.

United Kingdom one4one [4 - 2] United Kingdom uQ Gaming - Match Report

Clash of the night
There’s always an un-missable, and tonight that match is surely uQ Gaming vs. one4one. Two insanely strong teams destined for great things. But could the unthinkable happen? An early departure for either team a real possibility, though the winner tonight is guaranteed a place in the final 8.

To add a complication, and an undoubted incentive for the one4one team. A win tonight would guarantee them a place in the final 8, however a loss would take them to a final match showdown with Team Helix, with both clans level on points. This group isn’t nicknamed “The Group Of Death” for nothing.

Spain wArning! [POSTPONED] Germany pstarZ - 20:00 CET

Old Rivals
Kicking off the nights action we’ll see two old enemies go head to head. wArning! a strong blend of Spanish tacos and European flavour. New recruit “mike” fitting seamlessly into the side after the departure of Mr wA himself Winghaven. A similar playing style allowing for wArning!’s tried ‘n tested tactics to be used.

Then we’ve a pstarZ team who’ve faded back into obscurity slightly after their impressive #ET-Cup win – though obviously impressing the ClanBase admins enough, awarded with a direct invite. They’re a strong mix of continental flavour, achieving the unthinkable for many clans, keeping a stable roster. Though former-insAne Ravenous has recently joined the fold. Clan leader “Snot” keeping his clans feet firmly on the ground as they experience their first Eurocup.

This tie seems too close to call, with the ClanBase CBooky odds 60/40 in favour of the Spaniards.

Europe IDKFA [4 - 2] Poland Logitech UVM - Match Report

Polish Powerhouse
Finally “Mrozu’s men” will come up against the European powerhouse IDKFA. Logitech, an all Polish roster is centered around their immense pairing of Mrozu and Tsunami. Hoping to achieve the same success as their Estonian neighbors (ish) they’ve been training hard. Formally known as “Senseless eSports” they achieved nothing, though are fully motivated to get the momentum going after a disappointing start.

As quoted before IDKFA are “the mix that never was”. A clan many predicted would fail to stand the test of time – well the doubters have certainly been proved wrong. IDKFA’s ability to keep a relatively unchanged roster has seen them grow into one of Europe’s best. An easy win in the first week over insanity! leaves them one win away from the knockout stages.

Its War Wednesday?

On this, the eve of revelations over at ClanBase we see two teams from “The Group of Death” kick off their respective Eurocup campaigns. From former finalists to upcoming hopefuls, tonight has it all.

uQ kicked off their season negatively. Slumping out in the ET-Cup final disastrously, then failing to qualify through to the knockout stages of the toFOUR Cup, as rumours of roster problems mounted. But, it appears, all a great team needs is a bit of luck - and luck is what they received. Awarded a place in the toFOUR Quarter Finals thanks to a drop out they’ve not looked back, unbeaten since. A record of 6 wins in as many games leaves them top of the Warleagues Season V Premier Group and going into this seasons EC on a high.

Team Helix, formerly known as Rewind.et are suffering a slouch at the moment, desperately seeking to get their dwindling season back on track. Early encounters saw them overcome a few household names, impressing those that saw over the pre-meditated vitriol. Recently bolstering their roster with the acquisition of former one4one star United Kingdom razZ.

This being the first match of the group a good start is vital, with one4one and remedium set to lock horns this coming Monday.

GameSense vs sth - #1 Spot On The Line

image: gamestvClanBase ladder matches, they're of no importance right? Played by mere peons not good enough for the Cups...well tonight let’s distinguish that myth.

We'll see Eurocup hopefuls Portugal GameSense! take on ladder leaders Europe stronger than hate (sth). stronger than hate are on a nine match winning streak stretching back to early March. Granted their matches have been few and far between, the last two coming mid-September when they took on and beat not only Russia Pistols but Poland frozen in the same night.

They became ladder leaders by default in mid October, thanks to the demise of Hungary Thunder Force who have since gone into hibernation. This their first match as ladder leaders, a loss tonight would result in Spain aurea taking the top spot. Shit or bust for FroZzeN's men.

stronger than hate are a large caldron of Europe's best, a skillful mix under the watchful eye of Croatia FroZzeN. Their roster boasts members from Thunder Force, id.no, idle.ee, wArning!, Kreaturen and IDKFA to name but a few. But do a few big names make a team, you've gotta question their commitment with Eurocup approaching fast. It's also unclear as to what team they'll field, with over 40 members to pick from.

Compared to sth GameSense! have been incredibly active of late, three officials in the last few weeks going favourably - though not perfectly. Their roster might not boast the same celebrities as sth, but they've still a strong mix of players - overpowering fellow EC hopefuls’ Italy team Vagrants back in October. As the challengers tonight they've nothing to lose, even more so due to the ladder systems point scoring, they should be fully prepared to cause an upset.

ETTv: Confirmed - Ips will be posted here

Two strong teams, who’s gonna win iTG`Tosspot?

If you'd asked me a month ago, I would have said Krea no doubt, they were interested and organised, however they then got hit by the Krea.ET bug! Whether they still have that interest to play at a high level is again in question, wArning have been making steady progress and infact this is a grudge match from last season. At the end of the group stages, Krea faced wArning right after wArning had played a brilliant game against Junk52 and might have been able to go through to the knockouts, Krea won that and for that reason I'll go with Krea to win this again, but it will be close!

Due to the technical problems at Gamestv.org ETTv ips will be posted here:-
