ClanBase is proud to announce the start of the Fall 2009 Cup Season. We have had a slight delay but the signups are now open and are due to close on the 13th of September. We have also revised the list of cups which we plan to run this season, including the addition of three new games.

After last weekend's downtime, we sat down in the Heaven Media offices and decided to run a competition to get some good user-generated content back onto crossfire with some fabulous prizes up for grabs!
Everybody has the chance to enter, all you have to do is provide the community with useful up-to-date news, articles and columns for the crossfire community.
Up for grabs we have five great mice - the Razer Lachesis Phantom White - and we have three servers (1 month each) from YCN-Hosting to give away - which can be Enemy Territory or Wolfenstein.
Winners will be selected based on how well they commit themselves, the quality of writing and how much positive feedback they receive.
p.s. Yes, we are huge fans of alliteration, how did you guess?

Below are the nC customers, the information can be found in both the authdump.sql and forumdump.sql, as usual there are only wannabees which is a good sign, and also yuppie (nC moderator) has confirmed the above and had this to say:
since now i dont give a shit about et at all so i'm gonna tell you,you dont have pro's from nc at all only fucking wnbs like me and i'm at least honest.
There already is a huge wave of flame and even the customers themselves are getting pissed off. Have these lists done more good than bad? Yes, everyone knows that netCoders are a joke and their customers will always be exposed, they still have all your computers info, trojans in their bots, etc and i would like to close with a quote from an nC customer, as what he says might show you a bit of what netCoders has become in the perspective of the nC customers themselves:
I hope it won't sound offensive, but dude, srsly aint supa old schooler nc cheater, but when i joined this place was like active board and community, many great discussions in every part of forum, and now it's not anymore like best cheaters community, only asslickers and low botters. everyone knows ingame nicks of customers, almost everyone were at least once on one of list, all this subscription trash... also almost half of etbot owners left their accounts to killer fucktard after those list... i know that noone from our staff is person to blame, but sorry, honestly - it's not matter of few auths or sth anymore. It's matter of netCoders name and mark

like promised the private beta is now public! We had to fix a few minor issues and added some new features like:
- Objective wont be visible to the enemies through walls anymore
- Reworked revive so that you have instant revive, but you will have to be closer to the one you revive (yes we listen, see!)
- Nades wont fly over the whole map anymore, still they will fly further than the retail patch
- HUD has been reworked, thanks to crumbs for the feedback
- Respawn times had been reworked (thanks to the forums and irc spam)
- Added some kind of cvar "hack" (read readme) to make it easier to change / test spawntimes
- Added proper reload sounds for the weapons if you are in drawgun 0 mode
- Fixed most leaf animation (this was broken in the beta)

Shrapmod is a modification for Wolfenstein which aims to add gameplay aspects from RtCW and ET into Wolfenstein, such as strafe jumping, instant revives and less weapon spread. Just released in the States, Wolfenstein has taken a comfortable position as the best selling video games on both PC and console. A remarkable performance when one considers this latter market is usually dominated by Nintendo, with Wii Sports Resort at the number one spot and Wii Fit and Mario Kart Wii at third and fourth position respectivly. A mere 2000 units seperate big N and Activision at this time, but one should keep in mind Wii Sports Resort is only sold on one console, wheras Wolfenstein is available on PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. Nevertheless when we only look at one gaming system at a time, Wolfenstein is the best sold game on all of them, the best sold game on every platform it supports.

ESL has released a new tool free to download! ESL Wire is an instant messenger as well as a tool that simplifies playing on the ESL and combines a lot of very helpful functions. This includes Matchmedia Upload, a Screenshot Tool, integrated Aequitas, Buddy-, Lobby- and Teamchat as well as virtual LANs and Video Broadcasting.
Nearly two years have been spent in developing this program including a long orientation phase that went through what should & should not be included in Wire. Since the first version of the Open Beta last year a lot has happened. While a lot of users were lacking reasons to use Wire, now we already have many more users regularly using Wire. More than 10,000 users online per day and over 20% of all matchmedia being uploaded with Wire tells a story of real success.
