You may not've heard much clan news after last EuroCup XVIII. Many clans are reloading their roster to compete in the upcoming outstanding events, such as EuroCup XIX or ET Masters. After reaching 5th place in ECXVIII, they needed to refresh their lineup. You already know about who I am talking about, don't you?

Many clans are trying to catch the occasion and join stable organisations with great management. Not once, not twice clans were not satisfied with the mgc co-operation. It's not easy to lead the negotiations. It's especially hard to choose multigaming from a list of those, who are interested in investing their time and money. This time a new Polish multigaming team is entering the ET scene with a bang. JustHigh have decided to invite devilry as their Enemy Territory team. Main goals are Crossfire Challenge 6, EuroCup XIX and ET Masters. I proudly present.

The deadline for the 500 € tournament is nearing to a close. With 138 sign ups so far, we are almost at the threshold of teams we need to offer a great tournament.

Target: 144 Teams!

The Qualifier and Invites
16 Teams will fight it out to get one of the 4 remaining spots to have a chance to get their hands on the prize money in the major division. The tournament will start Sunday and run through to Tuesday with a double elimination bracket.
We offer 28 Teams the chance to play in the very top division. Our seedings will be very tight and therefore we need you to tell us if your team is now inactive or does not want to participate in the ET Masters Season 2 anymore. We will definitely not allow teams (including a major part of their players probably) back for a 3rd season if they can't prove their stability in this tournament.

The Second Division
With groups of 8 Teams and hopefully 128 teams participating, it will be a major league with relegation games and a long term tournament with 1 match each week. Every team has the chance to qualify for the playoffs and two or three lost matches won't destroy your chances. Reach the Top 4 and keep playing till the end for your own good!

Every team will need a responsible person to be available in our channel #etmasters on quakenet. Contact chosen, eVo or Adacore in this channel and tell us the team captain for your team.

The Rules
Detailed rules will be published on Thursday. Major stuff: No player will be allowed to play for more than one team and everyone playing needs to insert his current PB GUID to his crossfire profile. Every player who wants to play with your team in this cup must be in your crossfire team for atleast 24 hours.

Last map
Every team not competing in the opening match or participating in the qualifiers can participate in our map finding tournament which we probably will announce on Sunday. Most votes gone for Adlernest, Braundorf, Frostbite and Oasis.

After a short conversation in the evening, both organisations came to the conclusion to partner up and bring you one very big and awesome tournament right to the gates! It finally is at the time to announce the playoffs for this years ESL Winter League premier division. Due to a tie in
Group A the teams needed to play each other again. In the end devilry and mASCULINE MANS made it to the double elimination playoff stage. Without further texting I introduce the playoff encounters to you:

It is with great pleasure that Impact Gaming announces almost 2 years since the first instalment that a second season of the highly successful ET Masters CUP is currently being organised. - Matches will be played using the European 6v6 Config.
- Anyone serving a cheating related ban from Crossfire is not welcome in Crossfire competitions. +This also includes players banned for multiple accounts. For any hints, message an admin via irc. If any player will be find with a multi account, your team will be removed from the cup. If you have more than one account contact an admin to remove your unused one.
Map list Bremen, Delivery, Goldrush, Radar, Supply & TBA +There will be atleast one cup running different maps, including frostbite, adlernest, oasis, warbell and maps alike.
- There willl be one match each week
- Every team has two wildcards to use during the groupstage
- Each group will consist of at least 6, and a maximum of 8 teams.
- Each team can pick every map twice during the groupstage
- Other than that, rules used on the CC6 will be used, those will be republished asap for public read.
- Rule violation will result in a default loss
- Crossfire reserves the right to broadcast any Premier League match
- Send a PM for any feedback, questions or proposals before and during the cup

Gone the way of dinosaurs, dodos and all things vicious and evil, a gaming dynasty today closed its door. In their four years Vicious and Evil became known as a respected, competent and competitive team with a relatively active community site constantly generating content and interest which we’re sad to see go.

Posted on their site, viciousandevil.com, manager Swine gave his thanks to squads past and present and announced that the motivation had drained and ultimately attentions were elsewhere. Vicious and Evil have now released all their squads, including ET, CoD, CSS and Quake, who are currently looking for a new home.

I caught up with vae Swine for a brief interview on the departure, what’s next and what happened.

After 3 days of speaking to the applicants and asking around we have come to a decision about the team captains for this NationsCup. Unfortunately we could not accept some country's due to the lack of players living in that country.

After the monthly statistics I thought there might be some interest for a yearly overview of the work of our Cheat and Abuse department - Enemy Territory. I gathered the statistics for cheat cases stored on ClanBase for 2008.

This data only covers the amount of cases that successfully made it to a suspension on ClanBase.
Ofcourse not every case is a succes, sometimes we need more evidence or it turns out the wrong person is being accused. Sometimes we suspend people wrongfully after which people can appeal. Currently we can't run statistics on these numbers. With the introduction of the ticket system we now have a more structured way of dealing with appeal cases, making it also possible to keep track on the number of cases and the time it takes to process them. Perhaps next year they can be included!
