CoD4invite.fr Cup Final

After many rounds the #cod4invite.fr Cup Final is almost set. Almost because before the final is played out the Semi-Finals will take place, nothing like last minute!

France redline who were seeded 5th in this tournament have knocked out the top ranked France H2K.TT 13-8 on Vacant in the semi-finals which makes them a team to be noticed. They will have the chance to prepare themselves for tonights match while their opposition have to fight it out only an hour before. Whether thats good or bad is up for debate.

France yourMGC / France oXmoze are seeded 3rd and 2nd respectively so either team could make it through to the finals. Both teams have had a fairly clear run to the finals with France yourMGC knocking out France pleasure and France oXmoze knocking out France D-Sky in the quarter-finals. With the teams having to play just before the final there won't be a lot of time to prepare themselves and may be a little drained. On the flip side they will be warmed up and confident after a win, so as I said, it really is debatable who is better off.

ETQWPro 0.55b HOTFIX

This update fixes some major issues that popped up in 0.55a.

The main issues I was trying to fix / smoothen out:
TV was crashing on connect
Vehicle management, vehicles wont spawn into the map anymore, if they are not allowed
Headshots only mod
Demo recording
End of round screenshots
better useability (menu to adjust your ingame settings)
Weapon model tweaks (thanks to pie)
GPMG spread
Cvar to show headshot hitboxes when cheats enabled
Our scripts will work now also on custom maps!

Serveradmins, be sure to adjust your server configs! The es_allowvehicles cvar has changed. More Information about this can be found in the changelog and wiki!

We highly recommend updating your servers, also be sure to give any bugreport and feedback in our forums at ETQWPro Forums

Also Linux server admins, please give feedback about any server crashes, the binaries got compiled in a slightly diffrent way this time!

ET:QW invades consoles worldwide

After the earlier release this week in North America of the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 ports of id Software's latest installment in the Quake franchise, Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars, today the European and Australian players can get their hands on the game. The Xbox 360 port of the class and objective based shooter was handled by Nerve Software, the company behind the popular RTCW multiplayer part, and games such as RTCW: Tides of War and the Xbox 360 version of Doom 3, while Activision Underground took care of the PS3 port.

EMS Week 1 on Tuesday

Although one match was wildcarded already, we have found a compensation for the missing match. We are looking forward to four hot and enthralling matches. The first matches start at 21 CET and ETTV will of course be provided by GamesTV.org!

One hour after group A has played nearly all matches of week 1, we already have one match of group B. Normally both teams planned to play this match tomorrow as the semi-final of the EMS Relegation, but with the start of the EMS Groupstage this match will also be the first match for both teams at the groupstage.

CoD4 EMS Season II Playoffs

It is time for an update for one of the biggest CoD4 events this year and with a little under 2 months to go, the number of teams confirmed to go is rising by the minute. The event, which is spread out over 12 days, at Gimle in Denmark Roskilde both has an A and B tournament for CoD4 and the list of teams which are confirmed is evermore growing.
The list of teams for the A-tournament has 32 spots, with 4 of those are reserved for the top teams from the B tournament, looks like this:

The A-tournament has a woopin' 25.000 euro in total prizes whereas the B-tournament has 2.500 euros in total prize-pot. As stated before the 4 best teams from the B-tournament will be granted access to the A-tournament. There are still 17 spots left in the B-tournament where the list of teams so far looks like this:

There are still teams which are unconfirmed for both tournaments, but already this looks to be one of the biggest CoD4 events, that will take place this year. The event kicks off the 21st of July but the CoD4 tournaments starts a few days later, with the grand final being played the 2nd of August.

I have not made big changes from Beta2 because it was nearly bugfree, but you can view the full changelog at the bottom of this newspost.

Finally I can only say that it was a great project which got alot input and brought the feeling of ET being alive back to me and I hope that the map will get accepted in upcoming competitions, but already the poll on the right looks very promising!

As a sidenote I would love to see some people joining #et-domination , as the channel for the W:ET Domination Mod, which I'll try to get back alive in the nearer future!
