When Rules Become Ridiculous

Here is where i blow my own trumpet. Before applying to be a crossfire admin, i was a general/casual user that rarely posted much whether it be a comment or a news item. I can honestly say though that i have never had a comment deleted, never been warned and never been banned in all the 5 or so years that i have been a member. Why? Because i have followed the rules in most circumstances.

EA Origin's sinister EULA

The Battlefield 3 Beta launched recently and for the majority of PC gamers, this will be the first time they'll have used EA's new digital distribution system, downloader and online store - by the name of Origin. For those who aren't too familiar with Origin, it's EA's answer to the popular Steam network.

Gamer Life: The Cause of Death

This column is going to be harsh and blunt, but honest. If you get offended by anything within this column, then you are exactly what I'm talking about. If not, then good for you, you are different to us all; and you are lying to yourself.

Fall season gossip!

Clanbase closed the signups for the upcoming fall season last Sunday and with 112 teams expected to participate the future looks bright - at least on paper! The amount of teams is quite average so nothing to whine about but for me as old stager something other is missing.

The inevitable future of Enemy Territory

So finally crossfire we are here to denounce Enemy Territory's propaganda conspirators. In one hand we have dictator that won't let the community change the way the game is played like we prefer to want it to be played as such as Ralf Dahrendorf.

Moving Forward

One cannot ignore the past 2 weeks in which the masses have mobilised the voice their concern regarding the current state of their dearly beloved. Whilst this old dog cannot help but feel this has all happened before (and it will all happen again), it is hard to ignore that people are hankering for a change. The key question is what is that change? You might say, its simple just look at the titles of the columns and journals and you'll find what to change.

6on6 at lan?

Good evening crossfire!

Very confident about the latest development of the 6on6 comeback, I thought it would be time to start finding a solution for the lan problem togheter. Building my own opinion, while facing the problem of the obviously easier organisation of 5on5 events, I took a look back to the situation in 2006:

EC/OC prize money ?

Everybody is whining that nobody is doing something for ET. Well, how about this idea where all of the community can support ET...

The main idea is every individual should give a small amount of money to some trustful person (such as Merlinator or Seanza). We are a small community but still together we could manage to bring ET where it was, in the earlier years when ET was in its prime.

Not yet !

I have writtin this collumn with the intention to reply on Kamz' collumn tbh, but i faded a bit away and think that it would be more useful to post it as a new collumn, than as a comment.

There are 6 different stages in the productlifecycle of a game like Enemy Territory.

I Introductionstage[/u]

Is this the end?

A column that might not be too popular with the masses but I think it's time for a little bit of reality check here..
