Quakecon 2005 ET Winners and international gaming conglomerate Check 6 have been rocked by the departure of Crow from their squad under a very dark cloud.
TeK-9 broke the news that the Check 6 CoD 2 squad has been forced to withdraw from the upcoming Outpost on Fire LAN next weekend and of crows departure. Stating that there were "internal problems" and that the whole scenario had left Crow saddened and unmotivated to continue playing Call of Duty 2 at the moment.
With the whole team not attending the event and it not being just Crow, it is a safe assumption that the travel arrangements for the event simply had not been made or booked as the remaining 4 players would likely have attended with a replacement. This instability comes after the team turned around their fortunes in Eurocup and qualified for the lan finals with impressive online victories over Dignitas and Speedlink.
Last month Check 6 were in a similar position when cha0ticz was left with an invite but not a ticket to the Quake 4 tournament at ESWC in Paris. Could Check 6 be about to run dry of the funds that have made them a recognised name in the gaming scene?
