A french and dutch alliance!

After the recent departure of the Netherlands H2k.Qpad Call of Duty 4 team the Dutch organization Netherlands Hard2kill Gaming already found a replacement team. The well known French team France oXmoze will be joining H2k as new Call of Duty 4 team.

oXmoze has been a strong contender in both the Call of Duty 2 and now the Call of Duty 4 scene, they were able to gain great results at events such as the CoD-Gamer LAN (3rd) and the Crossfire Devotii Challenge 4 (4th).

The new H2k.Qpad team looks as following:
France Anubiis
France gus
Switzerland RaigeKi
France rukkae
France vazy
France xandeR

QuoteToday, Thursday 13th march 2008 is a great day for my team mates and me. We have 2 big announcements to make.

First of all, I officially announce our departure, not without any regrets, from the French multigaming team oXmoze. We took this decision together because of some facts I’ll try to explain here. However, I would first like to thank everyone in oXmoze for everything they’ve done for us during the 5 months we were part of them. All the staff members are really friendly and they did everything they can to help us the most. Nevertheless, as oXmoze is a young organization, it wasn’t able to provide us everything we need in order to improve and reach the top of the Europe. I know some of you were astonished when we said we paid everything ourselves to go to cdc4 and other lans. That has been a crucial point that made us take this decision. Our main objective is to get better and better and to do great achievements in online and offline events and this couldn’t be possible if aren’t supported by a big powerhouse.

The second thing I wanted to announce is that we’re joining today a new multigaming, which we know will be fully able to provide us everything we need to achieve what I mentioned. We were contacted few days ago by this organization, because they really wanted us to be part of them and we were in need of such an organization. They would be happy to provide us with everything we need in order to become and stay one of Europe’s finest teams .

Edit: H2k has now officially announced the team on their website and would like people to read their side of the story on the previous teams departure.

The Estonian Connection

Well as you have all heard (a little sooner than i would have wanted) England Sheep has left the United Kingdom Impact Gaming lineup, fear not though before we let him leave we had a replacement lined up. Basically Sheep is a very active guy and wants to play very actively whereas Impact at the moment are content with 2-3 days per week. We wish Sheep all the best with his new team. That being said the show must go on...

So onto his replacement, well we feel with Estonia r3vers and Estonia Night returning to their old partnership of rifle and engi rotating it allows us now to look more towards a medic with firepower and teamplay as opposed to an SMG engineer direct replacement for England Sheep. To that end the obvious player to recruit is none other than Estonia Reload. He has bags of experience playing with Night and r3vers from his time at Idle and Dignitas and therefore fits into the team perfectly.

We'd also like to thank Europe Dignitas and United Kingdom Odee for kindly allowing United Kingdom Impact to use a player contracted to them <3

Malta Toxic
Estonia Night
Estonia Reload
Estonia r3vers

Yes It's Just TAG #Updated

History of TAG
In preparation of cdc3, k1ck.et thought it would be funny to just play some random mixes with some even more random people init. After beating Hummel at CDC3 and taking home endless amounts of money the k1ck.et team started to think about their future.

image: 260px-Paris1944

k1ck.et returning from CDC after having defeated the Hummel

After hearing how much 100€ is in croatian seashells Rimi decided to start his own MGC and #cortana was born. Dream thought playing ETQW would be very lulz. After Dr3am and Rimi killed k1ck.et the remaining players wanted to play some mixes with the nice people they got to know at CDC.

ESL EMS final 22.00 CET *Update*

Four Kings face off versus Dignitas tonight in what should be a great match with two of ETQW's best teams. Though it looks to be an uphill battle for Four Kings.

Dignitas have a perfect record versus Four Kings and at CDC Four Kings failed to impress after ending 4th. And Four Kings comes into the final from the lower bracket after beating epsilon 4-0 on Salvage and Sewer, so they will need to win double to win the final. Another thing that might affect the match is the fact that Four Kings recently had some roster changes, with United Kingdom Imentiu leaving and Spain Winghaven joining.
Winghaven is unable to play todays final due to ESL rules so Four Kings.etqw manager United Kingdom Hazz will play the match. Hazz told me yesterday how good he was and that I have never seen him play, by the looks of it he will have the chance to prove himself today. The match will be played on Island and sewer.

Both teams statements before the match can be read here: http://www.esl.eu/eu/etqw/ems/season1_playoffs/match/8518036/

Update
dignitas didn't had that much problems, especially on Island they performed pretty well. It's no surprise that they won the first Major Series Season for Quakewars.

A: Nothing confirmed for the CDC5, but i hope the best, this would be the first international Enemy Territory Lan for me and i would like to play there with this team.

Community ruleset web page goes live!

image: header
The Community ruleset is soon 6 months old and the people behind the ruleset (Biggest EU leagues and top EU teams) have now decided to open a public web page and irc channel. The thought behind the new public input channels are to let more people have their say on the rule decisions. The rule deciding wont go completely public though, but key questions will now be asked in public.

The idea behind the web page is not to create a community, start cups or fill any other function already taken within the community. The web page is only there so people now more easily can find the newest Community ruleset server config, read updates and vote on key questions.

You can find the new Community ruleset web page here: http://www.community-ruleset.com

And the new irc channel on quakenet here: #etqw.community

The Community ruleset is supported by ClanBase, ESL, Crossfire and the top EU teams.

TEK9 Networks Ltd. is no longer

[img|left]http://666kb.com/i/awv6q519ngxu4n64z.jpg[/img]TEK9 Networks Ltd. is no longer. Founded nearly two years ago, the Limited company TEK9 Networks Ltd. was the further professionalisation of the TEK9 Gaming team that had existed for another two years. It was a major step for both the management and the Benelux scene and showed the intent to take things to the next level.

Quote by TEK9Today however, we must announce that we have closed down TEK9 Networks Ltd. as an entity. We wouldn't be TEK9 if we didn't have something up our sleeves because the closing down of the Limited company is actually not a bad thing because it's just the next step that we are going to take.

They have founded Gamevibes BVBA, the first Belgian company dedicated entirely to eSports. What this means is that TEK9 in fact is not dead, it has merely become one of the brand to be operated and managed by the Gamevibes BVBA. The brand name "TEK9" will still be active as it used to be but with further professional support from Gamevibes BVBA. So don't worry, TEK9 isn't going anywhere!

Gamevibes BVBA currently has one full time employee, over 20 volunteers and contracts both a lawyer and an accountant. The temporary office will be located in Geel with operations also being conducted from the Chief office in Antwerp and Hamburg.

Germany COO Constantin Schmidt

zEm is back

Sweden Rickard 'zEm' Intveld, well known for his time in the WHOCREW? and fukyuu team back in CoD 1 & 2 made his comeback, to join his friends at Sweden fnatic, the team which recently won the Call of Duty 4 tournament at the Crossfire Devotii Challenge #4.

So he booked an earlier flight back to Sweden to be in shape for the i33 Lan, which will take place from the 21st till the 24th of March. He will probably play the Swedish Qualifier for the ESL Major Series this sunday aswell. klanne, who filled in his empty spot, will stay as Backup in the team.

LowLandLions with a big roar!

image: 24q1q4y
LowLandLions have sprung a huge surprise in the CoD4 roster round about by merging their roster with that of H2k's and forging an immense benelux powerhouse to raise their performance after CDC4, one which for L3 ended early and for H2k ended in match conflicts.

Due to real life issues and large internal conflicts the side broke apart with Ecu leaving to the outside world and yazzy and Stevy leaving as a result of the conflicts. The side that were a rising star towards the end of CoD2 and the penultimate Eurocup season were in dire straights with just two players remaining.

L3 looked to qwertY, Joepoe and Doekoe to fill the void and left Mitox out in the cold without a team and H2k without a CoD lineup for the first time in years. Heres L3's new full lineup;
Belgium Sticky
Belgium Restyle
Netherlands qwertYYY
Netherlands Joepoe
Netherlands doekoe
Netherlands tEkin (back-up)

The story is far from over with Netherlands Insecure from H2k Gaming has stated "The true story how it went internally will be released in a couple of days" - suggesting that that yet more drama is to unfold. Readmore for quotes and a teaser as to how soured H2k's relationship with their CoD team was.

ET's Major Series: Signups extended

image: et-ems Normally the signups for the Enemy Territory ESL Major Series should have been closed on Sunday night, but after many new teams joined the tournament in the last 48 hours we decided to extend the singups for another week. This means you still have the chance to signup for the €1,000 competition!

With 73 teams up to now the ESL Major Series will be one of the biggest and most important Enemy Territory tournaments in 2008. Additionally, the prize money of € 1,000 will be the highest one in an ET online competition for several months, that's why we could see many teams registering at ESL with the end of CDC some days ago. Due to the increasing interest in the last days, we decided to extend the signups for another week. The new deadline is now Monday, 17.03.08, 17:59 CET.

At the same time the ESL announced some more qualification details like the map pool, config or rules on lineup changes and the team's nationality. Everything can be found in the original ESL newspost and we really appeal all teams to take a look at it. Due to this change, the start of the ESL Major Series will be delayed for one week.
