Crossfire & Game-Hosting join forces

Crossfire is today proud to announce its new partnership with Game-Hosting as official host of our community. After several successful liaisons with Game Hosting before, its with great honour that we're now extending our agreement to host the site and partner with us in other projects. Game-Hosting has proved to be a firm believer in community orientated support, something that makes it very like minded to Crossfire and a very suitable partner.

Stuart Saw owner of Crossfire said "I've had the pleasure of working with Game-Hosting on the Arctic eSports challenge back in 05, and their Arctic hunts. It became obvious to me that we shared a lot of the same goals, and were going about achieving them in similar ways. We both want to offer the best atmosphere for gamers out there, and now together are progressing in a very focused way."

Eirik Pedersen of Game-Hosting.com added "We have been cooperating with Stuart Saw for a few years now and this cooperation has been very good. When Stuart took over Crossfire we started to talk about how we could cooperate on a even deeper level than we had been up to then, that has now been realized and we are proud to present Crossfire as our official partner. "

The relationship between the two companies see's Game-Hosting become the exclusive hosting partner of Crossfire and is a strategic partner in all of its community projects. As such Crossfire will be running a Game-Hosting Call of Duty 4 server, you can come and play on 80.239.200.177:32960

ESL Winter Cups ready to start

image: teaser_news As announced, the group stage of the ESL 4on4 and 6on6 Winter Cups will start at the beginning of this very week. Yesterday, just one day after the sign ups had been closed and one day before both cups will start with the first match week, the groups have been published. A total of 64 teams have signed up for the two cups in Europe's biggest league and will show us several hot and enthralling matches in the upcoming weeks.

The first matchweek starts this Tuesday and will end on Monday February 18. All further matchweeks will also be scheduled from Tuesday till Monday. We will not switch to ETQWPro today, but it is highly probable that the situation will change in the next days. But anyway, if both teams agree to it, they can already play the match on an ETQWPro server. The first and second team of each group will join the playoffs, which will be held directly after the last matchweek of the groupstage has been played. For further details please read the official ESL Newspost.

6Devils win QCUP!

German underdogs The 6 Devils have been crowed the champions of the CoDQCUP after a marathon tournament that saw them overcome CoD2 hotshots TeK-9 in the grand finals last night.

It started poorly for the Germans though as TeK-9 stole a march on them with a massive 13-4 win on mp_Crossfire to start the match. However into the second map (crash) and The Devils managed to reach the magic number of 13 to secure the win for them on the map, and because the Germans were coming from the Winner Bracket tieing the game, meant winning the tournament!

Europe's newly crowed top dogs are anxiously working towards attending CDC4 at the end of the month, this latest victory will only boost their chances of being in Enschede alongside all the teams they recently dismantled.

ET:QW Promod 0.03 Public Beta

After the release of the ET:QW Promod 0.02 the modding team planned to wait for the SD competition mod to built their mod on the SD source code. Bad things delayed the SD mod and since CDC #4 is pretty near the Promod team started to finish the next release, 0.03.

And here it comes, the newest Promod version including new fireteam functions, a working spawnsystem and many more. After a week full of beta tests the version is ready to release and you can grab it here

You can test the mod on the following servers:
