CDC4 Signups (693)

image: CF The signups for the Crossfire Devotii Challenge 4 have been a mixed bag of emotions for us. On the one hand the signups for Call of Duty 4 have been fantastic and we're pleased to confirm that we're expanding the tournament from 20 to 32 teams!

While Enemy Territory and ET:QuakeWars haven't looked so great early on, it seems that both communities are rising to the occasion to bring on more teams as the other. One to prove it is a game that deserves a LAN and the other to show it has not died off yet. ET:QW is past the 16 team marker.

In total, 693 players have signed up so far!

CoD4 QCUP - Config Update #2

image: v4

This is an important update for all teams currently participating in the Crossfire QCUP Call of Duty 4 tournament.

You may remember we decided to switch the required configuration for all Call of Duty 4 QCUP games from PAM to DAM in the light of some lean bugs which were discovered. After even more testing and some excellent info from Germany Trigger and Sweden mintr we have decided to amend those rules.

War§ow QCUP - Round 3

People have come and people have gone in the previous days. However, the War§ow QCup has been running quite smoothly so far, however there was some confusion about certain games that were played but I was able to iron out these problems quite fast.

Scandinavia takes over Germany

The second round of the Crossfire QCup is nearly done, and we had some great and interesting matches. Whilst Europe H2k lost after a decider versus Poland Random Gaming, the other favorites were marching on.
We saw three matches, with the germans facing scandinavians, but like in World War II, the germans failed again and Germany ocrana is the only german team left in that competition.

Sweden Kompaniet 4 - 0 schwarz Germany
Sweden Eyeballers 4 - 0 eGamespoint Germany
Finland Logitech.fi 4 - 0 Stofftiere Online Germany

In the other matches, we had the following results:
United Kingdom 4Kings 4 - 0 C4 Gaming Poland
Poland Delta 3-1 Infinity Denmark
Europe dignitas 4 - 0 Finland Retroactive
Europe H2k 2 - 4 Random Gaming Poland

Today, at 19:30 CET, we will see the match of Spain nextlevel versus Germany ocrana on Sewer & Salvage. Let's see if ocrana can handle the pressure.
Stay tuned for Coverage.
Demobase will get updated tonight.

ETQW 1.4 Patch!

Splash Damage has just announced that the next patch for Enemy Territory: QUAKE WARS is right around the corner. And the list of features and improvements should please everyone and maybe even catch some critics by surprise. The update is numbered 1.4 as 1.3 turned out to be a small update for the Korean version of ETQW. If 1.4 turns out to be released on time and with no major flaws it will be one of the biggest and best patches I can remember for any game I have played.

CoD4 QCUP - Config Update

This is an important update for all teams currently participating in the Crossfire QCUP Call of Duty 4 tournament.

You may remember we decided to switch the required configuration for all Call of Duty 4 QCUP games from DAM to PAM last week. Since last week's beta release of PAM, there have been some nasty bugs discovered which affect gameplay massively.

Gaming Royalty - Royally Screwed

British multigaming organisation 4kings have today been thrown into turmoil as the roster has been split in two! The teams who were forged together from the old Coolermasters lineup at the end of CoD2 are now in disarray despite both sporting 4kings tags.

On both sides of the split are two long time friends in Ireland Crow and United Kingdom palmz - once both writers for Gotfrag, now on different sides of the Royal family. Palmz & Corp have taken the action to remove Crow, Wiz and junior from their lineup. Of the other 3, crow the only one with his 4k tag on - a move which has angered palmz as wiz and junior 'left gracefully'

With regards to the ongoing QCUP - it is palmz's roster who will continue, the reason being that they've added other players and want to continue. Those players who are crossing the 4kings picket line? None other than United Kingdom Morg, United Kingdom Ben & United Kingdom rico

Rumours on their final lineup see skipz & dales as potential long term recruitments. This story still has a long way to go!
