A: Hi. My name is Matthias, 23 years old and I’m from Austria, living in Vienna.

Q: Why do you think you are the best man for the job?
A: Austrian players are very inactive and I thought I could be the best man for this job because I know most of the latest active players and how to contact them to get a team which is able to compete in a positive way.

A: Yes I already got a lineup in my mind and also contacted them ... however not everyone has replied so far :/

A: This year Austria nearly only has inactive players ... but I hope we will be able to reach the playoffs like last year. That’s my goal :)

Being the only applicant for his nation I think it’s fair to say that this year we will see DonMatthias tasked with the job of trying to field a line-up. I wish him the best of luck and hope he succeeds.

Q: Can you introduce yourself for the players that are rather new to the scene?
A: Hi I’m biggz and have been a part of the crossfire community for a little over four and half years and Australian ET community for over six years.
I also run the Australian ET CGo ladder and Prize Money leagues over at CyberGamer.com.au.
Q: Why do you think you are the best man for the job?
A: I am probably best placed to captain the Australian team again this year due to my ongoing involvement in organizing and administering all Australian competitions and having the resources to support the team to help them achieve the best possible results.
Q: Do you already have a line-up in mind and will you be able to get the people you want?
A: Due to the unpredictable match times for each match we will have a decent pool of players to pick from. The recent prize leagues have sparked activity in the Australian community and so the standard is better than it has been a couple of years.
This has seen some new talents emerge and previously fringe players show some real quality. In particular the core of Team xFx have really stepped up and are currently only one win away from securing the Premier League after thus far going unbeaten.
Midas in particular has really shot into the spotlight after taking over the rifle for xFx full time. So much so that he has recently edged out I'm_Constructing as Australia's top rifle. Expect plenty of 
Ati_ style "random rifle" moments from him.
Also Dongo has been in increasingly devastating form, racking up ridiculous damage in every game he plays in. Fortunately this time around he will be supported well by Midas and so the pressure will be less hopefully on him to carry the team.

Q: What is your goal with this team and how far do you think you can go with this line-up?
A: The past two nations cups have not been happy hunting for us mostly due to a lack of league activity meaning our teams have not been well prepared or anywhere near the level required for progressing past the group stage.
This time however I feel we have our best chance of progressing past the group stage (all going well). Obviously the more games we can play on a US West coast server the better however we will of course respect the rules/terms of CB when required.

biggz- definitely has the upper hand in being picked a third time in a row as captain for team Australia. We hope he’ll be able to field a line-up once more and that he can fulfill the objectives he has set as capatain to be.

A: I am Gifted, played several LAN events & at the top of the competition from 2009. I was Captain last NC & have been playing for Belgian Fraternity since 2009.

A: So yeah, I'm Goku, 18 years old and playing ET since 2004. Played on public servers for 5 years (Bunker Gaming, Flame Guards and Prime Squadron for those who care). Then, around end 2008, I met some people who play ETPro, and that is the moment when I started at the competitive side of the game. Still playing the game 24/7, never got bored, never will either. Most people will tell you that I'm a retard, but a lot will tell you the contrary, believe what you want :)
Q: Why do you think you are the best man for the job?
A: To be fair, I don't think I'm the best man to do this, but I'm sure it's a nice experience to represent your country as a captain; and it's a nice thing to write on your CV ;)

A: I haven't talked to anyone yet, but if I'm chosen my line-up would be pretty much the same as the one from last season. About whether I’d get the players I want? I don't think they would refuse to play for their country ;)

I know those are your conclusions, I was just laughing at your opinion about team PL capt. So basically, what pros and cons do you see @ dizel and dialer and why would you pick dizel over dialer? I'm just curious how did you make that pick.
Furthermore, as someone stated, you could've mentioned nations that played last NC but did not have a single applicant.
I'm not saying that it's perfect job, but you're being way too harsh here. There are/were some mistakes and some parts of the text could've been written in a better way, but you can't really argue about his personal opinions (you could argue about whether they belong to this type of article or not, though).
I would say that this article offers a good amount of necessary information for the voters and gives a good overall look of all the captain candidates. Interviews had good questions and the article included answers from most of the major candidates. I personally think that the format is decent. Of course it could've been better and more stylish like everything can, but atleast it was clear and simple.
Atleast I enjoy reading this type of articles and we don't have too many active contributors around here.. I guess you have some grudge against P5Y, because otherwise I can't really understand your comment
1. Mentioning SIMOON applying for Bahrain was pointless as it obviously was a troll, but there was a mention that the application was removed for the reason that SIMOON has previously played for France.
2. About Kamz.. best way to handle it would've probably to ask him for the answers and speculate the trolling part as a personal opinion, but taking a look at Kamz's original application I think that it's just fine to not take it as a serious application.
3. Some mix-ups with player names and NC/EC
I don't think that there were any major mistakes that disrupted my reading experience. How ever the writer could've gone through the text a bit more carefully to find the smaller mistakes. Of course the texts are always more enjoyable to read when there are no spelling mistakes and all the facts are correct.
What comes to the feedback, of course it is by far more useful to post your opinions and point out the parts you liked or disliked and why than just post a generic response like "good job". Constructive criticism is very important and writers should appreciate it a lot. I just don't think that you really succeeded in giving it by just pointing out those 3 parts in your original reply without giving any hint as to what's really wrong with them and how to improve. Also one of those pointed out parts was his personal opinion about the best candidate for Poland based on the information/answers provided by candidates and you can't really criticize him for that.
Do you really see these as proper feedback for the writer to improve for the next contribution? (I know that you explained them a bit further in your next reply, but you could've already done it in the original reply in a more respectable way)
Besides, I wrote my comment in paragraphs. Some parts refered to mistakes but some (eg. team-PL one) refered to opinion with which I disagree and comment in a way I did.
humM3L's case is different as he has presented Russia in previous tournaments. I'd say that everyone who has been following top level ET closely knows that and the information is easily available (unlike possible second nationality in case of hvk and IceQ). This mistake should've been noticed by both CB and writer of the article in my opinion.
I already said my opinion about Kamz's application and yeah, I have to agree that the part about SIMOON wasn't written well at all and it shouldn't have been included in the article.
I've discussed the situation of hummel before the votes were finalised but he was allowed to enter the world cup for germany when clanbase nc didn't take place and it was cf world cup or smth and now he's allowed to play for germany since then. If you want a better explenation ask the admins...

I don't know of the rules changed for this nationcup, but afaik zerender and hummel or even fireball have tried it before and they couldn't make it because rules were clear: once you play for 1 nation, you can't play for anyother nation anymore.
but in ET at first i tought it was same rules, but i think some russian ( hummer? zerender ? ) played for russia & also germany, its better to not change country, better if its not allowed.

Its not his fault he doesnt know every single applicant and that CB lets them apply even though they have no relation to that country. If you want to point fingers, point fingers at CB for implementing a ridiculous system that allows non members to apply.
As for your "criticism" on his personal opinions about captains picks, as he said it is of his own opinions concluded from the interviews he conducted.
He obviously spent a hell of a long time doing this article and putting aside CB's fuckups and his own opinions, then it was a great job. Most ppl didnt even know who had applied for their own country.

I've been critical over mistakes. At opinions - everyone has it's own but I can comment it in any way I want to. If I totally disagree, I can laugh, cry, whatever and it doesn't need to be presented in a sophisticated way. So no, it wasn't criticism @ opinions, but it definitely was @ meritorical mistakes.
